First of all Ekwuemes residence when searched produced a volume of dollars that needed explaining and he was detained pending the outcome (you jail people after a conviction). The operations of the coup were masterminded by General IBB and Bako, and Buhari who had little involvement in it was selected as the most credible person to head the junta. And he has made it clear that he accepts responsibility for that regimes actions. One would also need to know what he knew about Peter Onu that he strongly objected to. Buhari is the same man that worked with Israeli security operatives to containerise Umaru Dikko in the UK in a failed attempt to bring him to justice. He is the same man who was instrumental in getting Dora Akunyili to head the fledgling Nafdac, because he remembered her honesty from years before. You are the one determined to see some Fulani plot in his actions, but he has many friends across the nation who testify to his good character and uprightness, even the Igbo man who says that during the civil war aftermath, he saved the man and his car from being looted by fellow soldiers, and had his harassers punished.
Your charge is not well founded, but I understand this is election season. Even the government has not come out with this kind of empty rhetoric because it is truly easy to dismiss.

I think Attahiru Jega is the man to thank.. Nigerians owe him a lot of appreciation. The only reason why there is this renewed interest by the masses is the introduction of PVC and card readers. People now have this believe that our votes will count this time around, unlike before when the ruling party cooks up figures based on the number of registered voters in their strongholds..

The only area I don't agree is how you think a PDP win will make Nigerians winner and make PDP sit up. If anything, a PDP win is a loss for Nigeria and will embolden PDP to continue in their usual ways.

What a PDP win will represent is a reward for failure of 16 ignoble years which is what we have done in the previous elections. Had we voted out PDP after four or eight years of OBJ's mediocre performance, perhaps an ACN presidency would have out-performed them for another four or eight years.

Do you really think a PDP win will lead to the following:

1. A serious war against corruption?
2. Discontinuation of awarding contracts to militants in the name of securing our pipelines? A constitutional responsibility of our Armed Forces?
3. Provision of adequate security to quickly dislodge insurgency whenever it rears its ugly head?
4. Accelerated provision of infrastructures?
5. Improvement in power supply?
etc., etc.

The fact that PDP has failed to even tackle one or two of these mentioned issues to national applause after 16 years at the center is enough for us Nigerians not to consider them worthy of another four years.


On the other hand and as you've rightly observed, an APC win will send a strong message not only to PDP but all other parties that it is the electorates who decide who rule them. PDP as an opposition party will re-organize and be confident of winning back the presidency should APC fail to deliver the goods.

Kindly show or point out a SINGLE politician in APC who hasn't been part of the 16years history of this democratic rule in Nigeria which you termed a failure...They all have played a part albeit under different nomenclature... PDP isn't the problem of Nigeria...

Now back to the article, what I think from Bianca's perspective and my conclusions..

Peter Obi scored high in terms of infrastructural development but scored a mere average in terms of leadership and carrying people along in his leadership.

On the other hand, Obiano scored high in both cases for having being able to fill in the leadership position without allowing havok to be wrecked and also scored high in infrastructural development. I wouldn't expect less from a creditable manager and a leader. Obi knows/knew what he benefited from Obiano that's why he brought him to Anambra to utilize his managerial and leadership skills to govern Anambra state.

Now whether Obi haters like it or not, whether they agree or not, Obi worked and also replaced himself with a better leader, although we can still wait till 8 years to be truly sure of how much Obiano will achieve.

Then whether Obi fans like it or not, whether they agree or not, Obi lacked some kind of leadership skills required to fully unite people he governed and also betrayed the party - APGA.
