The way you are so stupid you think an African can be racist. Racism is a system of power created to advance one race at the expense of another race. Racism is power to control resources and means of advancement.
Africans can not be racist. We have no power. We do not have power to control anything while oppressing other races.

You don't even understand yourself.

I still put it to you that Feminism has got nothing to do with advancement of black women, but advancement of white women. You are not on par with white women to be demanding to be equal with their male counterparts.

Feminism is used to sow divisions between African genders.

African men are equally victims of racism which creates gender equality, so they have nothing to offer us.

How do we demand equality from people who never even created inequality. African men did not created gender inequality.

They co-created gender roles with us but never stopped us from advancing to anything we wanted. So we cannot demand gender equality from them, when they didn't create it.

Just like we cannot demand African men to end racism because they didn't create it. They are equally victims.

Believe white women's propaganda at your own peril. It doesn't have your African interests at heart but theirs.

By the way I didn't even ask you to debate nonsense with me. You chose to. Bye.

You think you have done enuf reading but ur writeup is full of propaganda. Saying feminism is a western ideology is just ignorance. Tell me wasn't the ancient Ghana empire running a matriarchal system. If u go back to history u wld be informed with the fact DT some African society promoted polyandry among women. This housewife thing, women running the household for the working class man was actually brought about by western colonialism. Some part of Nigeria women had more farmlands than the men, there the breadwinners. Tell me if that alone won't have demanded respect.

My dear in my world I demand submission because the woman that brought me into this world is up till date submitted and obedient to her husband, she was a highly respected career woman, reached the peak of her profession. She inculcated that into her daughters: 5 girls. 2 are doctors, and all her girls are graduates. The ones that are married are respected in their homes and by their husband's people.

Feminist my foot.

You guys should keep on deceiving yourselves, woman fighting what right with man? There are people you can tell those.

And mind you I am a very good responsible man. I love, care for, pamper, nourish, take care of and cherish my woman. And she submits willingly because she knows that no one will love and take care of her like me.

another slowpoke. Women can't always submit. They shld be treated equally. If she is always submissive she would never have a say even when you are about to make a stupid decision. But since by nature u r egoistic u won't want to be questioned. It is in man's nature to be selfish u can't always be selfless. In your moment of selfishness what will she do? She can't question u cos u r d man.

Who gives a Bleep about pampering? Pampering is not enough, women deserve respect. I think they are two different things. Also you have as much right to pampering as she does. So don't think pampering her overrules equality.

Most women in Nigeria are lazy, so u wld be considered an ideal husband anyhow.

ok, i don scatter table. abebe, your toto dey scratch you?

u r an idiot. I pray u fall in love and marry a man who would treat u like crap and beat u. You people don't like it when successful and independent women try to set good precedent. This strong women that try to change the statusquo for young girls. Women that would be an example to your daughters and daughter's daughter. Women that would show young girls that in a world of masochist, uncaring male world , a strong independent woman can make it.

stupid people like u come to type rubbish every time. You think when this strong women like Chimamanda glorify feminist stand they say it out of frustration. They could have very well enjoyed their independence and success in silence. But they chose to come out with it to set a good precedent- cos ur their story will have a big impact on society now and in d future. But u self absorbed idiot like DT DJ Cuppy, try to
shun them and make a mockery of feminism. At least Cuppy has her father's money and she is not likely to deal with issues on male dominance and intimidation on a daily. You what do u v?

In a nutshell Nigerians cannot embrace feminism because the culture of setting good precedence is lacking. It is systemic, our biggest problem. Why do u think politicians embezzle a lot of money. They yield to man's selfish nature, nobody cares to live by example. Nobody stands for anything, no one would try to set good institutions, values and ethics because they feel it doesn't affect them. They are all myopic. They don't know that the rotten system they leave is what their generations would come to face. You can't be there forever.

Let's have a rethink. When a woman says she is feminist, she is only acknowledging her strength and independence and it is what your generation would come to benefit. Let's raise girl s to think they are equal to boys and let boys be raised to know that a girl is not supposed to grovel before them.

Jobs/Vacancies / Paystack Recruitment 2018 by whytemon(m): 9:24pm On May 31, 2018
Dear Paystack,

So Paystack is a relatively new ecommerce organization in Nigeria. It is my opinion that Paystack would be aiming for best practice in all area of its organization. I mean they are adopting a business model which sprang up from the West. We all know that good practice there is best practice in Nigeria.

So I am reaching out to the Paystack Management to make their recruitment exercise transparent. How far now? What stage are you at the recruitment?

Sincerely,
whytemon.

Family / Re: 7 Ways To Deal With A Teen Who Talks Back by whytemon(m): 9:25pm On Jul 29, 2017
I totally agree with the OP. I know my father as being difficult and whining. I know he has the most well behaved kids. His kids have never stolen from him or anyone. He has never been called by anyone for something his kids did. However, instead of being grateful he is whining, complicated and difficult with us. You need to be in my family to understand what I am saying. It is sad that most people here talk with ignorance. My father his disrespectful to us all including my mom. From calling us names and all other excesses I don't care to recount. If you think children should be respected to get respect from them back then you are unintelligent. Pray to God if you have problems with your children. Respect them, talk to them, be friends with them. It isn't about beating and flogging. You cultivate a terrible relationship with them from doing that. You drift far apart. U can only cower them as toddlers. When they become full adults what would you do then? Get into fights with them or curse them out when they don't do what you want.

I think it's better to be respected than feared. You won't be feared forever. It would only grow into hatred and detestment. angry
sad

Lnxxxxx:

Fair, but remember I was painting a scenario. Also, shell is not that hard to get into and their recruitment is not so difficult compare to some companies. In addition, shell is a major coy that will always have a robust system, they need the staff, they need them to be Nigerians (NOGICDA) and their staff turn over is quite high; they don't have the luxury of being very selective. Especially now that they are using a new recruitment process: they don't have precedence for setting a comfortable benchmark.

I will paint 2 scenario using real life coys that have standards to keep for you:

GE is such coy, my friend works there in their US branch and they would love to recruit Nigerians more regularly but they did their research and concluded that our education system is "Junk". So they don't offer some of their best programs on Naija like their Edison program but they recruit once in a while and prefer experienced. Infact there was a time they were looking for graduate with GRE scores so that they can sponsor their higher education in US. That's a company with standards that's trying to adapt to their environment.

McKinsey and company on the other have standards they are not willing to compromise on. They invite you for their PST (although their ADH uses shl). They have a strict cut off mark, meet it or get a reject, after which you will need to survive a serious of interviews (case studies and Co, they even offer you tutorials before these interview, gives you an idea how difficult they are). Infact, their recruitment process is so hard that they hire less than one percent of the applications they receive. You have a better chance getting into stanford or Harvard mba program.

In summary, I don't believe their is such a strict benchmark else people would have received and instant rejection minutes after their cognitive test. They wouldn't have even bothered allowing you clog their severs with you plenty stories about why we want plenty more....oh sorry I mean why we want to work for shell grin

Caveat: Abeg no reference anything above ooo, na some facts mixed with observations and some assumptions.
It seems you have quite an amount of knowledge I would like to exploit. Pls, can you hit me up on my email address: Emmafeezytom@yahoo.com. Let's discuss more.

..You can continue quoting me to display your hunger but iam done with this useless back and forth...

Oga don't base this on tribe evaluate on common sense ground. How do you invite people for your occasion and not be gracious enough to give them common food. If you are so affluent food should be basic. If you v grouped the coolers based on groups at the party, like someone earlier mentioned as the norm in an Igbo party, then let d attendance be strictly by invitation. Then one can know there is a budget Dt should not be exceeded. There's no defense for not serving common food at your occasion. It just questions your pedigree
