ajalawole:Them no fit beat Bayern but seems someone needs to go recheck the scorelines and stats of the last encounters between Man U and Bayern. Boy, the last two times a dying United faced Bayern, they gave a very good fight. The scorelines were 4-3, 0-1 in favor of Bayern. Dying Man united were not outclassed and outplayed by Bayern like they did Chelsea yesterday. If not that Sanchez was on fire last night, the scoreline would have been 5-1. So much for world champions😂😂 Chelsea thought they were playing another FC Noah and Copenhagen😂😂 |
Brendaniel:The SW has everything sir. It is the economic powerhouse of Nigeria and the region with the highest purchasing power. Can you imagine a Nigeria without the South Western states?; A Nigeria without Lagos (richest State and the economic and industrial hub of the country), Oyo, Ogun (Industrial hub of the country) Ondo (farming, mineral resources like bitumen, Cocoa, oil and gas etc) and Ekiti (another farming giant) Is this even a question? Like seriously😂 If terrorism is left to foster in places like the SS, SW, some North-central States like Plateau and Benue and NW (commercial hub of the northern Nigeria, the whole country would surely feel the heat and the food shortage we are experiencing today is because Fulani bandits wouldn’t let our Benue and Plateau farmers breathe. My friend, since IPOB have been killing those they’re supposed to emancipate, has Nigeria been affected in anyway? At least I can say the deaths and clashes recorded between Farmers and herders are affecting me here in the SW, can I say same about the deaths and clashes being recorded in the East? Do you think the Nigerian economy would not crash within 2 hours if the SWesteners were docile enough to allow sit-at-home to be enforced? Imagine sit-at-home being enforced in places like Kaduna, Kano or Rivers State?😂 That’s the answer to your questions my friend. |
Brendaniel:Thanks for the question. What’s valuable about the north that is being used to hold the FG ransom is FARMING sir. What most of you don’t know is that banditry is among the reasons why foodstuffs are currently expensive and since Buhari’s regime. If these Bandits could have their ways, Nigeria would be plunged into chaos and famine. So my friend, the bandits have a very solid leverage and the government need to be careful while dealing with them because we have a weak government and military. If you are weak militarily, you shouldn’t be seen saying “we don’t negotiate with terrorists” Now, what does the SE have that made these Biafran separatists to think they could hold the government hostage? |
Brendaniel:Technically, Yes. He meant to say that the Niger Deltan militants and these terrorists are operating in regions that are valuable and consequential and if they aren’t treated carefully, (for a weak country like Nigeria) the whole of the country would feel the negative impacts. Unapologetically speaking, the SE is inconsequential in the scheme of things and the terrorists there aren’t bright because every terrorist knows that before operating in an area, you need leverages, you need something to hold hostage and to use as your defense mechanism. Hamas for instance, are using the innocent women and kids to blackmail Israel; the Niger Deltan militants are using the region’s wealth of oil to hold Nigeria hostage while Bandits in the north are using threat of famine to hold our Government by the jugular. Now I ask you, what are the Biafran agitators using to arm-twist the government? Nothing! Nothing my friend and this shows they aren’t wise one bit. Are you getting the drift now? Now let’s assume a new terror group emerges in Lagos today, do you think the government would just start attacking them without being cautious? No, they would be careful because a lot is at stake. The only thing the biafran agitators can attack to spite the Government is there own people and security men😂 Nothing more and you think the Government would see them as a threat? No, my friend, it doesn’t work that way. Sensible people plan their getaway before embarking on their missions. What are you leveraging on? What’s at stake for the other party? What do they not want to lose? Once you have the answer, you go straight and hold that thing and with that, they will bow to your demands either directly or indirectly. |
phr0nesis:It’s nobody’s fault that he was a weakling. As the President at that time and the Grand commander, he had the veto power to have it removed even if the citizens were crying blood if and only if he had believed in his own vision that it’s for the betterment of his people. Your silly excuse is akin to Tinubu having to switch back to repaying subsidy just because his opposition politicians, who are the greatest beneficiaries of the subsidy, are criticizing its removal. Only weaklings without vision bow to pressure. This is another testament to the fact that Tinubu is by far the most courageous President Nigeria has had. This man did what Generals couldn’t do. Other Presidents would have chosen to carry out that removal only in the middle of their second tenure but this Yoruba man with iron balls did it in his first year while daring its consequences. |
Didijiji:Yes o, he’s the best my region could produce and unfortunately for you, he will be the one dictating how you live your life. His utterances and policies will be the things that will shape your life and those of your entire family till 2031😂 At least, we are better than the region whose brightest and most brilliant person is one spare parts seller who once said “the biggest drain to our foreign which is affecting our foreign exchange is foreign exchange”😂 This same lettered man also once said: “the root cause of corruption in Nigeria is that there are too many toll gates” How he was able to convince over 6 million equally unlettered persons in 2023 should be added to the wonders of the world. You are being ignored now 🤝 |
Didijiji:From “He is senile and sick” to “he will never win the primaries” to “Buhari will shame him at the primaries” to “he will never be the President” to “he’s never going to be sworn in” to “Obadanjo has contracted foreign mercenaries from Russia to oust him” to “he will be sacked by the court” to “ he’s not my president “ and now “ He is an OTP😂😂😂 Una no dey shame? |
Chubhie:Yes and that’s because you take your vaccinations seriously . I’m not saying you aren’t immune to his tribulations. The point is, he owns you. One single speech from him can decide if you live or not. His policies shape your life and those of your entire family and lineage at least, until 2031 ![]() Again, that’s the power of power 😂 Enjoy the rest of you day, you are being ignored now.😉 |
Zionmdde:People like the person you are supporting actually support godfatherism since he got to the seat through that same godfatherism you don’t support. Sadly and unfortunately for both you and him, the price for godfatherism is slavery. You can’t ride on their horses and refuse to do their biddings. It’s that simple! |
Chubhie:Yes o Chinedu, my friend, Bobo Chicago is taxing you like a mafia boss because he’s your president. As your president, he decides your fate. He decides if you are going to live or not . Your entire life and those of your families are in his hands and under his control and unfortunately for you, you can’t do nada about it. That’s the power of power my friend ![]() |
CoronaVirusPro:You keep shooting yourself in the foot in your failed attempt at sounding intelligent ![]() Answer his question He said “If Black Americans can have European ancestry and still be considered African American, why can’t Jews have European ancestry and still be considered Jewish and from Israel?” Let’s assume we are agreeing with your silly logic that the ancient Hebrew is extinct and only got remodeled by one Russian man (according to you) Are you saying every Jewish person on earth and the land (Israel) they once lived in also went extinct with the language? Silly right? You can do better bro and one more thing, since we have numerous Christian countries, Arab countries, Islamic countries, Hindus countries, Buddhists countries and etc, why is it so hard for y’all to leave these people with that small piece of land? Why can’t we have just ONE Jewish state? Why can’t you let the one and only Jewish nation to exist? Why can’t Muslim Arabs co-exist peacefully with these people? It’s not even as though they just woke up one morning and started laying baseless claims on the land. Their claims to the land have concrete historical and genetical roots. |
Softmirror:I’m not even a Christian but how is this your problem? Are these rich pastorpreneurs stealing from you? Are those church members giving them the monies complaining to you? As long as they don’t force their beliefs on others and they don’t believe in hurting those who don’t believe in what they believe unlike the other party, we are good. Which of those countries listed up there is doing okay? Which among them will you not ignore for a Western country’s Visa? Which among them is not miserable ? Which among them condemns the killings of those who don’t believe in Islam? Even an hindu, who you and Christians call idolators, won’t kill you just because you don’t believe in what he worships. Buddishts, another group of idol worshippers (according to you assistant allahs) derive immense joy from intelligently engaging nonbelievers in discussions about the humble life and time of Buddha; the love, compassion and intelligence he exuded. No, a Buddhist monk won’t kill you for insulting the revered Buddha, rather, he would find a way to bring you into their fold. |
I’m not sure I’ll ever understand why people think they have a say on how people decide to spend their money. I, personally, would never think of getting this partly because I can’t afford it (yes, I have the money but I can’t afford such needless luxury. At least, not now) and because I don’t find any need for it since nothing is wrong with the ones I’m using presently and also since I’m not a secondary school student who still thinks getting latest gadgets is a pointer to measure how deep and full peoples’ purses are .However, you have no right whatsoever to condemn or insult others over what they decide to do with their money provided they didn’t steal from you and it doesn’t affect you in anyway. If I work hard and have the money to get my chi what it rightly deserves and what I love, who are you to mock me over it? Why are we even working hard? I’m simply not buying it because I can’t do so without my pocket feeling the heat and not because some equally broke blokes on nairaland feel I shouldn’t😂 |
cjudy:Keep pretending like you don’t know what Ndume is doing here. Yes, what he said wasn’t wrong but the person saying it knows exactly what he’s doing. Was he born yesterday? Did he become senator just last week? Did our force men start getting low wages just last night? Where was his voice all these years? If your sense of judgement was correct, you would easily know the real tribalist here is Ndume who chose to keep shut when his brother was in power but got his voice back and playing with your heads while forming “the peoples’ man” immediately the said brother left power. Let’s be truthful to ourselves and stop pretending. Nobody would have issues with what he’s saying if he was doing so out of pure empathy for the masses Ndume is just exactly like people like Amaechi, David Mark, Ruben Abati, Peter Obi, Obj, Atiku and others like them. They only start condemning bad governance once they are no longer in power and it’s people like you that are fond of condemning anyone who condemns their silly antics. I’m waiting to see if Peter Obi would have the temerity to condemn Tinubu’s administration over this ongoing resident doctors’ strike |
christejames:Don’t worry, we are in safe hands since Tinubu and that dipso of 40yrs old whiskey aren’t Peter Obi who loved healthcare workers so much that he made sure they didn’t work for 13 months😂 Ezi |
legitnow1:Thanks for telling us but don’t worry, the real owners of the “no man’s land” will decisively deal with any miscreant caught parading himself as king ![]() Don’t you worry about their feeding, waters beans boku for here |
legitnow1:Oh wow. So it’s now Tinubu that’s creating media organizations (Eze ndigbo, Ohaneze indigbo and many other mushroom organizations like that) for your brothers both home and abroad (Ghana)?😂😂😂 We aren’t surprised because why should a psychiatrist be expressing shock over his patient’s abnormal behavior? No be today we Dey see this kain thing and talk, so we are very used to it. Back to the topic, Yes, you are right, Kingship is alien to Igbo land! There’s no such thing as Eze, Igwe and Obi as they are all borrowed culture— a culture borrowed from societies that are well-organized because it’s only an organized human society that has leadership. |
joeyswift:Only God knows how you lots reason. Your elders (that’s even if you consider them as such) just made a statement in this news that onye ndi ndi Igbo meaning i.e the leader of the Igbo should be used in foreign lands instead of Eze Ndigbo. Now I ask you, what is Sarkin Hausawa and is it the same as Emir or Sultan? Make una dey use una head una go say . Sarkin Hausawa means the leader of hausas in that particular region and it’s not a traditional conferment and also rotational.Secondly and most importantly, tell your elders to stop bothering themselves as the real owners of Lagos have already dealt with the miscreant parading himself as Eze and don’t worry about his feeding, there’s so much watery beans to go round! You are welcome🤝 |
timibare:So this looks like supremacy to you?😂 No sir, this is slavery |
DiamondsAreFore:Yes my dear and especially when the vast benefits of the subsidy payment are enjoyed solely by a few people. Being the giant of Africa doesn’t make us the largest and richest economy on the continent. In fact, countries like Togo and Benin enjoyed the Nigerian subsidy more than we Nigerians. Na una dey think say Nigeria rich, relative to other economies in the world, we are nothing but church rats. |
DiamondsAreFore:You are very right Genius since both countries are on the same level economically. Make una dey use una head even if it’s once annually na🙏 So you think the largest economy in the world would be affected because it spends that amount annually? Please be using that thing once in a while, It’s not there for decoration. |
dapadawee:He was in a coma then. Na everybody get him own boss 😂 😂 |
Ngwamankilyou2:That particular tribe lost over 3 million of its people to the senseless war that shouldn’t have happened in the first place and they are still crying over it to this very day yet, one Mr muturu here on nairaland is chest-beating again saying they could do it over again without regret. Go ahead my friend but let’s hope you won’t take us to Jupiter this time since The Hagues, CNN, WHO, CPU, APC and the rest haven’t given you any justice till now 😂 Bring it on. If them cover una mouth, una go still talk and chestbeat with una yansh. |
CaptainFM1:Yes, they have all been horrible and that’s where you were supposed to put full stop. I’m particularly in shock over the fact that out of all the dead woods we fielded today, it’s Iwobi that first crossed your mind. You singled him out despite the fact that he’s arguably the best among the forwards (relatively better because they’re all pathetic) He made the most passes and created chances that were never converted by our forwards. Lookman and Simon have both been in horrible shapes. Both wingers struggled to dribble past defenders. Our forward started becoming threatening after Dessers was subbed off but the whole event looked more like a rugby match than football. |
CaptainFM1:What’s brah on about?😂 Are you sure we watched the same game? So of all the players (especially the Forwards) you could fault for being trashy today, it’s Iwobi (who was relatively better) that is your scapegoat?. Cut the dude some slack, he showed class both in our previous game against Rwanda and the one tonight. |
obonujoker:The owners of the State say they don’t want someone who doesn’t think in Yoruba to govern them, what’s your problem with that? 😂😂 Since that Iragbiji man thinks and acts in Yoruba and since the yorubas don’t practice the politics of classism (I.e they see themselves as one big nation without discrimination) unlike the reality in the SE, the pure-bred yoruba Lagosians don’t have any problem with his leadership. This is Yoruba land, discrimination doesn’t exist here. It’s all love and merry! Nobody is a lesser or first class Yoruba unlike in the SE where some are seen as first class ibos (Anambra), second class caste (Enugu and Imo) Third class (Abia) and the Osus (Ebonyi ndi Abakliki)😂 These are not my words, they are the names you give yourselves. |
Nozarashi:There’s nothing peaceful about an environment where terrorists are being harbored and shielded. Nice one from Israel. You may want to argue that they disrespected Qatar but no, a country that doesn’t even know there are terorists residing in it doesn’t deserve any iota of respect and shouldn’t be trusted with international and regional security (I want to assume they were unaware or lack the capacity and technology to know the terrorists were residing there) |
Seefinish:So Anambra, the pride of Igbo land and the richest Igbo state, has more poor people than Lagos and Ondo?😂😂 Na statistics we go chop? |
DrRasheed:You’ve spoken well but I’ll love to correct a few things . I’ve lost count on the number of times I’d repeatedly corrected people each time topics like “which tribe/region/country has/cooks the best foods” is being discussed because it’s a silly argument since foods, their tastes and appeals differ with individuals, regions and cultures. Every human believes the foods he consumes are the best because they are things he’s used to and no amount of argument and persuasion can change that. A typical Igbo man would argue that nfe Nsala or banga soup is the best in the world while a Yoruba man would say gbegiri and owedu does the magic for him even when our brothers from the East would jokingly (even derogatorily at times) call it spyrogira or hydraulic soup😂 Food is a relative thing and as such, you can’t say yours is the best (you can only claim but can never force it on others) However and with respect to this topic, I think the northerners aren’t doing enough as far as packaging and hygiene is concerned. You too see the pictures you posted, many of us didn’t even know that northerners’ foods could be so appealing to the eyes. I’ll like to correct something here. You said this: “These foods are not created to entertain your eyes; they were crafted for health, endurance, and balance” No bro, foods should be presented in such a way that they entertain the eyes and mind. I myself for instance, I can’t eat most of the things eaten by Asian people (Chinese and Koreans in particular) but they make their foods in such a way that you would want to take a bite and that’s what we call being appealing and presentable. I will fiercely grapple to have a taste of Pakistani rice and their well-prepared beef and kebabs but can same be said of Indians, their very close neighbors? No. What I’m saying in essence is that your food must be made to be enticing both in neatness and look before you can expect people to want to eat. So no sir, I will disagree with that, foods must be made with visual appeals and hygiene being one of the centers of focus. Appetite for foods is a psychological thing as humans generally don’t have the urge to consume things they don’t find appealing. I for instance, will never put the Igbos’ white soup near my tongue even at gunpoint because I don’t find it appealing enough to stimulate my appetite and this is another proof that supports my earlier argument about food being a relative thing because one Igbo man, somewhere, can kill for it! The way I abhor the white soup and don’t find the banga soup appealing either is the same way some Igbo or Urobo men see my visually pleasing and artistic gbediri and ewedu soup (esp when they aren’t mixed) as being dirty and spyrogira-looking and I don’t find that offensive because it’s human nature, what’s appealing and appetizing to you may be another person’s nightmare😂 This is the simple reason why I see arguments like “my foods are the best” The igbos/Calabars/Yorubas have the best foods” as being sillly and highly unwise. The day I tasted the very much hyped banga soup, I was more than disappointed but an Igbo or delta person would feel attacked should I tell him it tasted like sh*t to me. |
SeeWahala:We can as well say that Anambra, which is Peter Obi’s home, is not conducive enough for him because he doesn’t live there😂 In all this, I love how he repeatedly called Mr Tinubu Mr President while his horde of lunatic supporters are still living in denial; saying he’s not their president😂 Tell Mr Obi to brace up because this daily wailing go long o |
SisterAnn:Reading is a vital skill, please try getting it. “We are not ready yet as a country because we complain about bad situations only when we aren’t benefiting from them” Those were my exact words and I was intentionally using the pronouns “we” and “us” thinking I was communicating with humans. Also, who TF is Wendell simlin and who was called a thug for eight years and now celebrated as your savior btw? ![]() Also, no, everyone can’t be like you or SE because this is the only region that practices largely homogeneous politics where everybody faces one and the same direction and a region where you dare not criticize their favorite politicians. I was among the many people (even APC members) yabbing El Rufai, Gandollar, Grasscutter, Emefiele and even Buhari himself despite being affiliated with them by the virtue of political ideology. Many of we yorubas condemned Tinubu over his silence on the issue of herdsmen that year when Igboho was embattled. So no, not everyone/every tribe is rudderless and allergic to saying the truth, many other regions except the SE practice heterogeneous politics where people are free to express divigent opinions and views. |
Nchenches:Yes, “rudderless”. Any problem with that? And yes, we are smart and it’s nobody’s fault this rudderless region aren’t. If it’s easy, you too capture the apex political power 😋😎 |
. I’m not saying you aren’t immune to his tribulations. The point is, he owns you. One single speech from him can decide if you live or not. His policies shape your life and those of your entire family and lineage at least, until 2031
