Funnily, I saw some videos and comments (coming from some ibos) yesterday seemingly mocking the Yorubas over the death of those poor kids. If I was from that senseless tribe, I would be dancing today on hearing this horrendous news. You see, politics have made people to grow so stupid that human lives are now seen as nothing. They littered the comment sections gloating about how the dead children were Yoruba children. Human children o. We can do better as a people to be honest. Hunger knows no tribe or color but some unfortunate entities don’t mind if you die just because they lost an election.

This same thing happened here in Lagos around March this year where some people lost their lives during that Customs rice stampede disaster. Did you call for the arrest of the customs officers and authority that organized the event? Some even started with loans and petty trades while for others, it was just through sheer luck and maybe someone mentioned their names in some high places and to people that matter. Trust me, most are not being snobby or wicked, they are facing things that can’t be discussed with you because you are most probably not going to be able to help (they will prefer talking to someone/ppl who can realistically improve the lives they are managing and packaging).
Also, only get close to people who need your services. Believe me, we are living in a transactional world where people don’t help without getting values in return. Now ask yourself, if they gave you their productive time and helped you, what values would you add to them in return?
In fact, I prefer you asking them for a legally documented loan with collateral while stating your business plans and what they stand to gain than you asking them to give you business ideas or you could have asked them to link you up with someone who could give you access to such loan and clearly stating their own financial gains
Giving you such loan would still be seen as their own way of coming through for you.
When you get there, you will realize that nobody is doing okay.
