Jazzman01:Yes you are right my friend. The same way Delap’s throwing won Stoke the EPL ![]() Nobody wins a serious league with ugly football. This life na one kain funny place, we complain about silly and anti-footballing plays only when it doesn’t favor us That year, Arsene Wenger was everywhere crying and asking that the ojoro throwing be banned and reviewed after conceding two goals from it in a single match but today, una don give am a fine name “the dark art” ![]() Let’s see how far you go with it |
cjudy:Una head dey touch most of the times. Are president’s or governor’s cars used for kidnapping? Please let’s be reasonable about some pressing issues. No be everytime una must form opposition |
TheChameleon:Here is my conversation with a guy just last week when he was fervently arguing with me over the ritual killings going on in the east. The problem with most of these kids is that 1. They are not exposed and not well-traveled and 2, they just don’t listen and not ready to learn. I still don’t know how the story just suddenly changed because ritual killing was alien to Yoruba and the north until recently when the Yorubas (Ogun esp) are now notorious for it. When we were still young, it was a common knowledge that it’s very rampant and almost a second nature thing amongst the Igbos. You would hardly see one single Igbo extended family (often very wealthy) without one or two members being a lunatic. You will also hardly see an Igbo extended family without at least one member living abroad. Very soon, the narrative will change and you will start hearing that kidnapping is a trade started and dominated by Northerners when in actual fact, the igbos are the pioneers. Go and write this somewhere. These are things I saw with my korokoro eyes while in the east but one small boy on this forum thought he knew more.

Kukutente23:At this point, i won’t be able to help you. Again, he has no right to be getting it CHEAP in the first place. Now ask yourself, what have you been benefiting from the cheap ones he’d been getting? Are we buying cheap from him? He was only lamenting because he will no longer be able to go home with humongous profits. Crude oil is not cheap anywhere and selling to him cheaply would mean Nigeria is subsidizing it. Lastly, Nigeria is not his only market and he still remains the one and only private refinery Nigeria has as at today. Many other countries have nothing less than 10 different private refiners and the national ones are not impeding their production/sales. His destiny is not tied to the Nigerian crude oil. Point to note: while getting the Nigerian crude oil cheap, was it reflecting on the general market? Are you getting it cheap? What’s even the difference btw his and the one imported from abroad? |
onatisi:The same way you always told us Dangote refinery wouldn’t work ![]() So Sahara is now a reliable news outlet ![]() |
Kukutente23:He will be forced to sell at COMPETITIVE prices and I’ve said this a million times. We the masses are the ones winning here. Dangote will still make his money, it’s only that his fat profit margin would shrink. Other countries have multiple refineries competing with the state-owned ones and none is forcing the other out of business. So we shouldn’t have our own refinery because one man had decided to build a private one for himself? |
ufotunang:You are getting it wrong my brother. It was transformed into a limited company in order to maximize profits and to not fully turn it into a charitable organization in the form of subsidy because no country can survive on subsidizing everything for its citizens— it’s just not feasible for a country as big as Nigeria (population-wise). The NNPCL is still a state-owned corporation. The federal government of Nigeria still has the largest shares in the company. Fully selling it into private hands was what Atiku proposed but believe me, that won’t happen. It’s never going to be a fully private-owned entity |
Kukutente23:Why should anyone be allowed to buy cheap in the first place?. The point I’m driving home is that his multibillion dollars investment is not being threatened out of business. He was only wailing because his excessive profit/greed would be checked. He should join the competition and keep his price competitive. He should buy cheap and sell cheap in local currency and he’s at liberty to sell high if he decides to buy high from abroad . Competition breeds peace and it’s we the final consumers that should be yearning for it. |
crossbreedwears:Your first paragraph shows you’re mistaking me for your father. Your failed father should have made you pass through school to be able to read at least. Now read again then go to the nearest clinic around you to donate that vestigial lump of tissues in your head to science for research purposes. You are being ignored now. |
ufotunang:Why should the FG be purchasing what’s locally sourced with the USD and from a Nigerian, government-owned parastatal? Can you shed more light pls? |
Kukutente23:Having a refinery doesn’t stop the sales of crude internally. Also, Dangote and all interested individuals are at liberty to enter into the competition and source for their crude from whichever country/places they want. Chevron alone, a private entity owns more than 3 refineries in the US and the US, with his multiple government-owned refineries, still imports crude oil from other countries. The market is bigger than you think |
Kukutente23:Who told you he’s going to lose? Is Nigeria the only viable market he’s selling to? Also, who told you he can’t compete profitably here in Nigeria even if there are more refineries? |
crossbreedwears:We are not tired. Let’s learn to praise people with the same energy we use when criticizing them. That’s what honorable people do. What were the fools (past leaders) that ruled us doing in the past couple of decades? Let’s know when to dump politics and praise whom praises is due. Tinubu/Nnpc have done well here and God bless everyone who’s had a hand in this |
iwaeda:Nobody is losing anything here. Nigeria is not his only market and talking about Nigeria sef, the market is so big that competition is allowed and everyone is welcome |
Xscape1993:This is actually a big accomplishment for Nigeria as a whole and that’s provided it’s not audio. Our past leaders should bury their heads in shame and Tinubu has just written his name in gold with this milestone. It is very annoying and sad to learn that the largest black nation on earth and one of the largest producers of crude oil didn’t have one single refinery until now yet we’ve had 4 past presidents. It’s sickening to be honest and I expect everyone to celebrate this man for this. There should be no oppositional politics for now |
LeeSmart:Guns can’t be the worst invention if you’re judging from the fact that they are used for killing. People have been killing, invading others and committing heinous crimes using blades during the iron ages. There had been killings even before the inventions of irons. In fact, dying by gunshot/gun powder is still a little more humane than by sword and blades |
How did you get into the same bed with him in the penthouse? The definition of rape needs to be revised. These fish brains are making it difficult to get the right justice for real rape victims. I think it’s high time men started embracing the idea of sex tapes |
Be humble ![]() |
Sellfish:So you think a team as big as this current City would risk their reputation (including those of the elite players) all because of their fair play isssue? That’s actually laughable because match-fixing is actually a bigger mess than the so called financial fairplay wahala. Go and ask teams like Marseille |
kennyz247:No religion keh? Nairaland people will not kill me. You could have easily passed your message without this misyarn. You just called a hardline Hindu man a "president with no religion"? His country, India is one of the most religious societies in the world ![]() |
Mbanda:Nah bro. I'm too busy for this. I won't let you drag me into your stew pidity realm because you are going to win me with your vast experience since it was passed down to you by your father's fathers and you're surely representing the family well You are being ignored now |
Mbanda:You're still describing your mother |
aariwa:Ok, you will soon understand. I'm not even saying it's only juju but you don't know the shady things and deals (the ibos esp are eternal residents of prisons in Asia for drug-related crimes) ppl do in their closets and talking about the shrines that commenter stated, it's 100 percent true. Hardworking ppl are everywhere. Stop this holy glazing |
aariwa:You're still arguing |
Mbanda:You're mistaking me for your mother ![]() |
9jatriot:How and why should he not be blamed? He was the head of the government and whatever happened under his watch would be 100 percent his responsibility. This is like saying that Bahuri and Jonathan shouldn't be blamed for the rampant financial corruption crimes committed by their ministers |
givedemwotowoto:People thought Nnamdi Kanu made a mistake when he called the country a zoo. Bro actually thought the whole of Nigeria was like the south east and its people. Autistic reasoning like this one is a living proof. You somehow absolved the idiot that awarded the correct but refused to pay of wrongdoing while putting all the blames on an innocent government that came after. Really? Or are you being sarcastic? Who swear for una. Like, let's be serious, this doesn't look natural any more. Speak up, we are more than ready to help you. |
Mbanda:Mumu. Point of correction : are some parts of Lagos not slums compared to some parts of Kigali and Johannesburg? It's vice versa. Some parts of joburg and Kigali are also relatively slums when compared to many parts of Lagos but you're too Mumu and inexposed to know |
CrossRhodes:Because we all know the people who enjoy an uninterrupted monopoly of stewpi dity. They are not that hard to spot ![]() |
eagleu:@bolded, of course, you do surely and you are yet to tell us the real reason why you are being taunted and tormented by how some persons have decided to treat their dead. Buhari not giving Attahiru a national mourning doesn’t mean another President can’t do so or has the new Tinubu broken any existing law here? Why exactly is this your headache Chinedu ? Like I said early, the fact that you aren’t born into a honorable family and the fact that you lack noble birth doesn’t make other people honoring their dead a bad idea. Presidents can even decide to give posthumous awards, birthdays, national recognitions to the likes Stella Obasanjo, Chinua Achebe and many other dead prominent people and sane people won’t have any issue with it since it’s not against any law or constitution. Get well soon and you are being ignored now. I’m referring you to a specialist teaching hospital now. I’ve done my own bit ![]() |
eagleu:Honoring the dead has nothing to do with the agency he worked for prior to his death or the circumstances surrounding his death. There has been many occasions where ordinary police officers (not even a high-ranking ones) died in the US and was given a heroic last respect by almost all the security apparatuses while some where even posthumously promoted. I know you didn’t say what you said from the place of common sense but from the place of hate and bile. An army general is not just an ordinary citizen and when has paying last respect to important people become a crime and your headache? Your healing is on the way, don’t worry |
