kevoh: My brother/Sister na so we see am. I'm sure the bumps were hurriedly made to justify an unnecessary award of contract and siphon some cash no matter how little. Just like the useless plastics filled with sand that was used to partition the other lane of same road some time ago.
I actually thought of this too. This whole brouhaha is simply to siphon money. Nothing else.
kaeforum: Stop spreading rumors, there is no such thing as speed bumps on the karu nyanya express, the hold up u see is caused by population of commuters coming all the way from nassarawa state, masaka, mararaba, nyanya, karu , jikwoyi, orozo etc, there are so many suburbs where commuters are coming from and somany vehicles too.
All these converge in a on the highway, despite the fact that it is a 6 lane express, the population continues to increase due to increase in vehicle acquisition.
Know that abuja is one of the places where vehicles are most affordable, you can buy a car for N100k, so that explains why there are so many vehicles and traffic as well, just like lagos.
The hold up is also caused by the barracks and AYA junction which tries to restrict the traffic from 6 lanes to 4 lanes.
Bro, you're absolutely the one spreading the false, vague and unverified information. Try to at least investigate and see things for yourself before you make comments like this. God bless you.
Igwe007: Speedbumps can't be the main reason for the traffic.
melodyirish: Speed ko, bump ni. Our road no good picture of d bump
If you stay in that area, you'll know exactly what it is. This particular issue is currently causing rancor between Road Safety , FERMA and FCTA who actually gave the directive for the construction of the bumps. I see the construction of the bumps as barbaric and so cruel. I can bet it that the those bumps would be removed before the end of today.
It's true and the particular speed bumps were absolutely unnecessary and uncalled for. I have a friend who's been inside the traffic since 8:30pm and he's still there up till now. I'm quite sure the bumps would soon be removed within a couple of days to come
I also got mine yesterday too at the same Transcorp Hilton Hotel, but at a different location within the same Transcorp. Painfully, there's no network coverage in my area, Jikwoyi and I felt really bad. I just hope that their network coverage spreads out to other locations in time.
All of you have forgotten that an administration lasts for 4 years. PMB is just almost a year in the office. For me, it's still too early to judge his performance or arrive at any conclusion relating to the above post
The rerun election for the Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, taking place at one of the Primary schools in Jikwoyi has turned to be a bloody one as gunshots were being heard with soldiers all over the place. There was an alegation that money was being shared there and some guys from Abbatoir came and started to disrupt the whole place. Heavy traffic!
olasircoded: WhatsApp, the most popular chatting service, will now let you add the new options of bold, italics and strikethrough to your everyday WhatsApp chat in its latest update
The new feature is hidden in the app, and needs to be turned on by including certain characters. Here’s how it works:
1. For bold, add asterisks to either side of your text, e.g. *bold* 2. For italics, add underscores to either side of the specific word or words, e.g. _italics_ 3. For strikethrough, add a tilde (~) to either side of the word or words, e.g. ~strikethrough~
It’s also possible to can surround a word with all three of the characters and have each of the formatting options apply to a word, such as _*bolditalics*_.
These new stylings can also be entered in the WhatsApp web client — which launched last year — but the formatting will only show up in the app-based version of chats.
I initially didn't want to believe this story not until I got the video clip. It's quite shameful and embarrassing, but no one is above mistake though.
kazmanbanjoko: According to the Mail Online, Chelsea is planning to sack its manager Jose Mourinho, after a terrible Premier League title defense. It is possible that Mourinho will be given this week to save his job with a Capital One Cup clash versus Stoke and the home league visit of Liverpool on the horizon but a decision could come before then. Reports say the wheels have been set in motion for Mourinho’s exit after their season hit rock-bottom in the 2-1 defeat at Upton Park. Chelsea are 15th in the Premier League and have lost six matches already. The prevalent issue of a severance package for Mourinho has already been discussed by club chiefs. Mourinho signed a new four-year deal worth £30million in August and Chelsea are obviously reluctant to pay him the full amount of his deal should they sack him. Likewise, the matter of Mourinho’s potential successor needs to be determined and Carlo Ancelotti is touted to replace him. http://www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/chelsea-to-sack-jose-mourinho-mail-online.134624/ lalasticlala

ifymagik: I live in Nyanya. The Bomb thing is all Rumour
Did I hear you called it a Rumour? I heard the bang and at the same time felt the vibrations as it shook my house in Jikwoyi for that matter. Its just that the location has not been confirmed yet, but I can tell you that it is NOT a Rumour
