Did you buy this dollar cash?

@Staggar and other financial experts here, can one buy dollar cash from the banks? If yes, what if one buys it and goes to resell them on the black market and make some profit out of it?
Car Talk / Re: What Is The Purpose Of The Vehicle Insurance Fees Imposed By The Government? by Willas04: 12:07pm On Mar 04, 2016
Fellow Nigerians, just be wise and try to understand the gist. Third Party vehicle insurance cover is compulsory in many countries of the world including Nigeria. But just as we have scam and fraudsters in every aspect of our life in this country, the third party insurance is besset with fraud perpetuated by those who prepare vehicle papers. They give fake insurance papers that cannot attract any compensation or claims for you when the need arises. They only serve to complete your papers before the uniform personels on the road. If you want a genuine cover, work into an insurance company and purchase one. You don't need to get it from vehicle licensing people. Theirs are fake! Again the money you pay for your insurance does not go to Government and governments have nothing to do with.

Jobs/Vacancies / Ucth Collected #5,000 Each From Intending Interns. by Willas04: 6:15pm On Dec 17, 2015
The University of Calabar Teaching Hospital Collected the sum of #5,000 from each of the candidates that took part in an internship/housemanship exam. The exam was written on 16th December, 2015. Each candidate that applied for internship/housemanship was made to pay the said sum to qualify for the screening exam.

I just wonder when poor job seekers in this country will look for job and not be exploited by employers and government agents. What is your take on this?

Religion / Re: Is This Type Of Compensation Religiously Allowed? by Willas04: 12:52pm On Nov 25, 2015
This is ethically wrong. This is because by collecting the money and not traveling, you have lied. You and your boss have also deceived somebody somewhere or your larger organization. That travel, I must suppose, is meant to serve the interest of your organization. The money you are claiming is meant for a staff who undertakes the journey.

Again, if the travel is not meant for you, or you are not qualified for it, then your boss should not use it to compensate you. He should look for something else for your compensation. I am afraid he is robbing a certain Paul in that office to pay you the Peter.

So both ways it becomes religiously wrong. I do not know of any religion that permits lies. Nor does any religion permit unfairness which is shown in robbing Paul to pay Peter.

Hello Fish farmers in the house. I always read thru this thread with great joy and I am very appreciative of the gurus in the house who freely share their wealth of experience in this forum.

I am about opening a fish farm. I have already contracted a consultant to guide me through the process and site preparation is also ongoing. This consultant has prepared a feasibility report for me. One of the estimates in the report is that we can produce and sell up to two hundred thousand(200k) fingerlings at once in the hatchery. I found this estimate unrealistic.

Please the gurus, what is your take in this. Is this really possible?

Bros a two plot of land is enough and moreover as a newbie you need to start small to learn the ropes before expanding.. I will advice you hook up with a good consultant to assist in mapping out the farm layout, pond construction, technical know etc.. Where is your location??

Thanks @robonski15. I appreciate your advice. My location is Port Harcourt. I am drawing up my business plan and I would like to have an idea of the capacity of fishfarm that a the two plots can accommodate. When you say 'start small' what do mean? How many ponds and fishes do you think I should start with?

Hello Fishfarmers, I have enjoyed reading thru this thread. I am an aspiring fishfamer. I have two plots of land available. I intend to construct concrete bonds for my farm. How many bonds and fishes can be comfortably reared using this available space? How much do you think it will cost me to build this level on this plot and do you think I can put up a viable fish farm on two plots of land? I will be very glad read your comments on this.

This is an interesting write-up. But is it only in the North that they grant these loans. Again, are they particular about any form of farming or is it for any farming?

Interesting discussion on Snail farming. Please can somebody tell me, with reasons, which of the Achatina species is best for commercial snail farming. Again, I continue to have doubts regarding the size of the snail market in Nigeria. Do we really have a large market for snails? Which big organisations in Nigeria buy snails? How much do they pay for a fully grown giant snail?
Thanks for your answers.
Career / Job Search Engines by Willas04: 9:37pm On Nov 26, 2013
Hello Members,

I have seen a lot jobsites on the internet. They all display job openings and job seekers apply for jobs through them.

I keep wondering: Do these sites make profit? Do Nigerian employers pay to advertise their vacancies on the internet.

Your contribution will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello Nairaland members,

I have seen a lot of job sites for Nigeria on the internet. But I am wondering what the source of income for these numerous websites is.

So my question is: Do Nigerian companies or employers pay to advertise their vacancies online?
