Feedback on my visit to Port Harcourt office today, was at the NIS office by past eight but they didn't start work till 10.am. Saw officers before then running around and attending to their clients. Met an officer to make inquiries about not having being called for interview & capturing despite having submitted my application since last week Thursday. He was surprised and told me I should have been sent a text, asked about the servicom desk and he told me they weren't on seat as at then (past . Met another officer who took down our names (those for interview) to go confirm if they were on their list. Met the officer after having waited for a while and he told me my name wasn't on their list and I should contact the officer assisting me and was asked to leave their office. I was surprised, called the NIS complaint number for assistance, they weren't helpful as I expected. Told me to go to the servicom desk but the NIS security officer at the entrance to the building kept preventing or willing to direct me, I was told by the officer on the phone from NIS complaint line to give the phone to the security at the entrance so as to speak with him. That didn't help cus the security gave back my phone to me ignoring the officer on the other end. The officer from the NIS complaint line told me to wait outside that he was going to get back to me. I waited for a couple of minutes without any feedback and i Just left disappointed ..

and till now he didnt get back to you

Yesterday(17th june is my interview date) I went to the passport office in Akure, strictly DIY.
I went there around 1:30pm, with my complete documents.
My documents was filed and I got interviewed after which the file was vetted, I was called for capturing at around 5:10pm.
I was captured but unlike others I didn't get the printout which contained the enrollment number and collection date( I saw the collection date on the screen 28.06.2021).
I hope not knowing the enrollment number won't later be a problem.
I was the only DIY, others paid through one of the officers in excess of 35-50k.
Most of the folks doesn't even know they can pay themselves.

So I planned to share my experience from Abeokuta with you guys.

Yesterday was my capture date, got there with all the required docs and went straight to the servicom desk.

I was told some docs were missing but not to worry the lady there explained what was missing.

1. There are 2 particular forms that you need to get from them and fill (note: I have heard some places would tell you to get this online if they notice you did DIY)

2. You need 2 printout of the payment page

3. You need to go with your old passport if it's renewal.

The most important stuff is, go to the center to submit your documents days ahead of your interview. This would help you from getting delayed.

Abeokuta is cool thou. Quick service and lots of folks willing to help without expecting cash from you.

Lots of passport are also available for collection, saw lots of passport yesterday.

That's the little I can say. Feel free to ask any questions, if I have any info I would share. Cheers and good luck to all japa plans

Tell one of your friends to snap/scan the data page of his/her Passport and passport photograph. Then, you print at a cyber cafe (50 or 100 Naira) and photo studio (400 Naira for five copies). I used my friend as well who was in Lag while I in Ilorin, and it is what I did.

The experience does not count anymore. My concern is that though midwifery is a shortage occupation, the need for midwives is not as great as that of nurses so getting job might be a little bit harder. This is not a statement of fact but if you know someone who has used the midwifery route that would be great but you never know until you try. All the best.

64 pages valid 5 years is 35k
64 pages valid 10 years is 70k
Note these prices only for Lagos, Abuja and Rivers... and all ages will pay same price for ONLY these 3 locations

If you are in the other 33 states price is as follows

32 pages valid for 5 years 17,800
64 pages valid for 5 years 23,000

If you are applying in Nigeria, U dnt need any immigration officer to help you, pay online, print ur receipts and forms online and go with all ur documents to their office.

U will need ur guarantor’s form, filled stamped and sworn abi signed at the high court by commissioner of oaths. That shud be 500 naira
Then guarantor shud also give u one passport photo, data page of his intl passport data and then his or her driver’s licence or NIN

Documents for you are
Letter of identification from Local Government/State of origin or residence or National Identity Card

Completed passport application form and 2 passport sized photographs (passport photographs endorsed at the back by the Guarantor);

Completed Guarantors’ form duly signed by a Commissioner for Oaths attached with Photocopy of Data page of Guarantor’s Nigerian ePassport and one passport sized photograph of the Guarantor;
Marriage certificate, where applicable;

Birth Certificate (certificate issued by the National Population Commission shall be required from applicants whose date of birth is with effect from Dec 1992) or Age Declaration attached with one passport-sized photograph and duly endorsed by a Commissioner for Oaths

Acknowledgement slip and evidence of payment
