Politics / Re: Protests: President Tinubu Addresses The Nation (Video, Pictures) by Willie2015: 7:33am On Aug 04
sIfioksq:
Tinubu is stepping up and addressing the nation directly. This is what leadership looks like! We need more of this kind of engagement from our leaders. He’s not shying away from the tough conversations, and that’s commendable. It's time to rally behind him and support the vision for a better Nigeria. Let's keep the momentum going!

Hunger protest in Niger State? This is just another avenue for chaos.

When will we learn that protesting without a solid plan only leads to more suffering? Instead of channeling energy into destructive demonstrations, why not engage with the government and demand real change? Protests that turn violent only exacerbate the problem and put innocent lives at risk.

Nigerians should be wise enough to see that protests without purpose are a waste of time. Hunger isn't solved in the streets; it's solved in the boardrooms and through policies that uplift the people. Let's focus on constructive dialogue rather than chaos.

Constructive dialogue with Nigeria leaders ? cheesy grin

They made it 25kg so it would appear that it's big

Let's use the normal size which is 50kg. The 1,200 bags of 25kg will be 600 bags of 50kg rice.
600 bags for 1 state, that's for 600 families.
600 families times 36 states (plus Abuja) = 22,200 families to benefit out of millions of families.

It seem u dont know how things are done in Nigeria..
There are too many people in the line for a family to get a bag...
State Gov... Special Advisers... House of Assembly Members...Commissioners
LG Chairmen... Councillors etc
Each family should be grateful if they get a Mudu of rice.
at the end of the whole show.

MASTERING IMPORTANT TA TOOL - Fibonacci Retracement
One of the technical analysis tools to add to your arsenal is Fibonacci Retracement. It is a useful tool for determining where to enter a trending market whenever a pullback occurs. In a deep pullback, expect the price to reach between the 61.8% - 78.6% Fibonacci level. However, in a shallow pullback, the price may dip to between the 38.2% - 50% Fibonacci level.

Now, how do we know when to pull the BUY trigger? Ah! Ah!! That's the big question. This is where strategy, experience, and emotions play major roles.

Good point, i tow same line, but I think Rail project are more expensive among other factors.

We construct roads...
And maintain it with revenue from other sources...
At the end of the day.
Most of them are in dilapidated state cos of huge cost of maintenance.
Rails last for almost 30 yrs...
while generating revenue through its life time...
It simply can pay its bills......
As far as FG has removed fuel subsidy...
Road is an expensive means of transportation...
Politics / Re: Tinubu Orders Ministers To Source Funds For Trans-Sahara Superhighway by Willie2015: 9:40am On Jul 04
ebenholer:

Rail is never cheaper...it is just another way to enrich the white. Most of what we need for road construction are readily available in our locality and so we should stop engaging in unnecessary rail construction.

Try and read up..
Rails is cheaper....
Its a self generating project...
Cos it can pay for its bills...
For example.. the Lagos Blue line transported....
over 1 million passengers in 219 days ...
It help the Agric value chain by moving goods easily and cheaper...
Moving agric products from Sokoto to Lagos will take some hours....
Movt of labor also become easier... ;
I can reside in Kaduna and work in Abuja...
If we have good rail network ...
No one will give a damn whether they remove fuel subsidy or not....
If fuel per litre reach N1000 .... most folks will park their car

Foreign Affairs / Re: Thousands Protest Against New Tax Proposals In Kenya, Nairobi on Standstill by Willie2015: 3:41pm On Jun 21
DeLaRue:
Nigeria is going through an economic transition that should have happened decades ago.

All former Presidents from Obj knew subsidy was unsustainable but none had the courage to remove it.

The moment GEJ saw a few people protesting at Ojota, he panicked and declared he was no longer removing subsidy. You can't blame anybody for leader who lacked courage.

They also knew the refineries were not working. Did Obj, or GEJ revive any of the refineries?

Now we have a courageous leader who has removed the insidious subsidy as other President's should have done.

While subsidy removal has unforunately caused a lot of hardship, not removing it would have caused even worse hardship in the future.

Kenya has its problems. Our problems are different, and I believe Nigeria's economy will start turning the corner before the end of the year.

We do not need a protest here.

Subsidy is sustainable...

It is the fraud in Nigeria version subsidy that is not sustainable...

The fraud is perpetrated by the Elites...

Instead of arresting and prosecuting offenders....

FG push the problem to the masses....

It is good to note that the US govt subsidize Agriculture to the tune of $30billion per year....

I am a fan of Tinubu but this is a bad way of handling the problem..
