grandstar:
The CBN g9vernor was simply looking for a scapegoat for his loose monetary policy.

Until monetary policy is tightened, there will be no respite for the Naira.
CBN has done its best...
We cant continue to import everything we consume
And expect magic from the CBN...in terms of monetary policies...
We need to add value as a nation....
In terms of service and products...
Thats the missing link in Naija for so many years...

InvestmentRe: I Just Built A Warehouse, What Manufacturing Business Can I Go Into? by Willie2015: 3:14pm On Feb 29, 2024
[quote author=Moneyboyz post=128703068]Early last year I was motivated to start a beer distribution business, I did my research bought the land and constructed the building.

Unfortunately for me, I didn't know someone is selling just few blocks to where I acquired the land. Although the competitor was a small scale but I do not want to compete because there is also a coke/pepsi depot right next to it.

I've decided to go into manufacturing but I'm not sure what I could do. I need ideas and possible the required capital that would start it.

Please no pure water factory suggestions.

Thank you.[/quote)

Not a fan of Manufacturing sector ...
We have bad environ for bizness.....
Even most overseas coys in Nigeria are closing up...
D few available ones are posting recurring losses as a result of devaluation...
I can advice you to demarcate and rent it out ...
Collect your rent without stress...
U can also do farm storage during harvest...
And sell later in the year...

Sorry bro if he tried to resume they will hand him an indefinite suspension and that will mark the end of his pension career grin
Indefinite suspension means placing an employee...
in a temporary suspension pending investigation...
Terms of conditions will be stated clearly by the employer...
Indefinite suspension may be unlawful if it is too long ....
D worst case scenario is for the company to fire him...
CareerRe: My Former Company Refuse To Acknowledge My Pension by Willie2015: 1:21pm On Feb 27, 2024
Queengee:
I opted for 25percent of my Pension remittance, all documents successful and now the only thing hindering the payment is my former company I worked with because they refused to acknowledge the letter my pension sent to them for confirmation before proceeding to pay me on ground that I didn't resign properly.

truly when I left the company 3years ago I don't submit any resignation letter. I left without giving any notice because I was tired of the job. so is there any legal means I go about this because those HRs can be very wicked when you need them
You should have at least sent a resignation letter..

Whether they accept it or not is their problem...

U absconded from work ..thats the summary of the above scenario...

Go and resume back at work..

D worst they can do is to fire you.

I so much love the concept of incorporating rail lines within the median strips of the road.

Rail journeys adjacent such roads will be fun and less monotonous.

It will surely be a sight to behold if this project comes to fruition.

concept of roads in Nigeria...
Trains are better and faster..
It brings in revenue that last for longer years...

TenQ:
A small business owner who buys from Ali express or Allibaba or any online platform cannot buy dollars from the bank.
Just go to any bank and say you want to buy N50,000 worth of dollars. It is impossible.

This is why everyone goes to the BDC for it
That should be the end point by the CBN...
That means ...enabling NairaCard for international transactions...
I source my dollars from Nigerians abroad...
I visit site that take Naira and convert it to dollars for trading...

But Tinubu's govt have actually shifted to managed float. They are just not saying it.

But politics is more about sentiments and not logic or best man winning

You can't force anyone to sell his/her product at your desired rate in an open market.

The govt. should revert to cashless policy as soon as possible and begin to tactically mop up the excess money already in circulation.

The way the north is lamenting about hunger is really shameful, with all the vast arable land in the North it can't feed itself, after landlocking the Igbos in the old Eastern region after the civil war and Buhari even calling the South East a dot we can now see that having large expanses of land and you can't feed is useless

BusinessRe: Can't Send Dollars To Nigeria Any More by Willie2015: 2:23pm On Feb 09, 2024
Throwback:
The next step is to outlaw forex processing for foreign education for a minimum of 10yrs.

Any Nigerian that wants to be educated abroad should look for the money abroad.

We have schools here that can take those huge amounts of Naira we employ to buy forex for UK or American or Canadian education.

We need to jump-start our tertiary education system with better infrastructure, improved quality of education, improved salaries, and improved school fees.

Tough times require tough measures.
The best move is to enable Naira cards for global payment.
BusinessRe: Can't Send Dollars To Nigeria Any More by Willie2015: 2:13pm On Feb 09, 2024
Acidosis:
In Nigeria, tough times require tough measures ONLY against the common man.

Politicians will always have their way. If I may ask though, why are you against globalisation? The world is a global village now. You can't box people.
It is a good policy....
which will affect elites and politicians too.....
I use a foreign app for forex trading ....
They collect Naira via my bank ...
and credit my account with USD for trading...
Same process also at withdrawal...
they convert USD and credit my account with Naira...
I have no business with physical USD cash...
Next policy is to enable Naira cards for global payment
