True. If you are a stagnant christian, spirituality will bore you.

"Give us this day our daily bread"

Its a daily thing, just like food.

Thank God for the Holy spirit. A lady opened a recent thread about the old testament people not casting out demons. Jesus came to abolish religion and show us the Truth. The religious leaders (pharisees) constantly attacked the Truth.
They tried to bury the truth but He rose again and lives forevermore. Hallelujah.

Drop religion and embrace Truth.

Satan uses just anything or anybody. Remember how he tricked eve.

"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” - God

Adam and Eve got the knowledge of good and evil and plunged the whole human race into sin. But hallelujah, Jesus has overcome the world. Dont let satan trick you.

Science actually has nothing to offer atheism, they have only chosen to use it as a facade to validate their beliefs and stay relevant..

"I can see how it might be possible for a man to look down upon the earth and be an atheist, but I cannot conceive how a man could look up into the heavens and say there is no God." - Abraham Lincoln

Atheism needs Religion for its relevance , sadly its not the other way round cry sad
They have hijacked science even though it has nothing to offer close-mindedness. Religion is the next to be hijacked. lol.
Fact is, they are still irrelevant. For example.
Take a look at the number of god-haters in religion section (<20 or so), and they are the real bigots. Others might be in other sections but dont care. Compare to the total number of nairaland users. Same applies in real life.

Exactly. The devil will always be uncomfortable under the brightness of the light.
Lol, they cant really give a reasonable explanation for their obsession with christianity.
Note their usual invalid answers.
-We just enjoy arguing with theists
-You cant expect to go scot free after throwing your absurdities in our face-
-We are here for public sensitization
-We have a duty to refute myths taught as truth.
Lol, islam does these things too, but ull never see them der.

They can and will never be able to explain their obsession with christianity, its a spirit-led thing.

There is a special section for Islam with a condition before it can be accessed but no not for Christians . Atheists have a thing for muslims - ask seu.n wink grin
Actually, i dont think they have a thing for muslims. I think islam is just less of a threat, just like any other religion. Ive heard an atheist say christianity is the worst of all religions, he could not give a precise explanation as to why. Someone also said its the worst mind virus of all religions.
As for nairaland, islam can do their thing, its no threat. The Real God is the real threat.

Atheists are lonely souls on a lonely road. They need the attention and company to mitigate their self-elected misery. That's why they make a lot of fuss over God and Christianity.
God and christianity,Thats the target of the devil, to sow seeds of doubt into believers. I guess atheists dont care about muslims, they dont seem interested in "enlightening" the muslims. Check islams page, lol. Mark 3:23-24 explains why though.
Christianity Etc › Re: 8 Questions For Nairaland Atheists. by winner01(m):
I can give you 8 valid reasons a robber will justify his actions.
1. Robbery is a profession, yeah. Just like the proprietor of a school gets a huge chunk of Income and pays teachers who work their a*ses off meagre stipends. It can be argued as a form of robbery too.

2. In christianity, no sin is too little. Stealing and lying is considered the same. Better to go into full-time robbery, shebi na d same sin liar sin.undecided

3. Life aint fair. Intelligent Ben spends years jobless after working so hard in school and he sees a former mate {a dullard} making things happen. Better to grab life by the neck right.

4. Morality is subjective. I like this one cos nothing actually is wrong. The perception of wrong has probably been recycled through generations and passed down to us. Worse is, the custodians of the law are humans. A restriction from certain acts with guaranteed punishments if i act otherwise, I perceive slavery.

5. Our corrupt leaders. They gulp in money meant for the masses. They are the real robbers. Corporate robbers. They above the law too. Being a law abiding citizen under these thiefs is argueably pointless.

6. Ben'll do it for a while, make some money and try investments and a brand new life. Thats a good place to start.

7. Ben's dad has not been paid for some months, his mom is critically ill in urgent need of medical attention. No feasible external help. Sounds like a very viable option.

8. Its actually none of your buisness how ben chooses to live his life. He has made a decision just like every other human. We cant be judgemental yeah. Allow him to be, If he's lucky and has become successful, he might just employ you in one of his companies.

In todays world, anything, just anything can be argued and justified. Homosexuality, necrophilia, incest, beastiality are ok long as they're not causing harm to the public. Even paedophilia can be argued to be acceptable. The word "underage" is also argueably a recycled belief passed down to our generation. Consent is the most important thing right. Who then set the age range for human growth stages and why has it become generally acceptable.undecided

Op, The point is you'll get the answers/justification you seek. Life is a mystery to the physical, a mystery that is not probable.

Atheists do not believe in God, and they seriously need people not to believe with them. Its more of a spiritual work. Its quite unfortunate that their plights might never go outside the borders of nairaland. It will amaze you that their cowardice extends to their homes for some of them where its their little secret that must rot in them. Its shouldnt be surprising that this is where they can pour out their minds. Hence the reason why they swarm religion section day and night.

You should change the posts titie to "8 questions for nairaland God-haters". Atheists simply "dont believe". Its that simple. Its the same with me and santa claus. Ill need to believe he exists before investing my time talking about him/it. If he really dosent exist, then Ill need my brain checked if i invest so much time talking about him/it.

God-haters actually spend more time thinking about God than many religious people do. Who did you think the bible was referring to in Romans 1:30. undecided

Actually i was not there so i will need an empirical study and scrutiny in order to determine what actually happened and this exactly what science is doing now... studying the available datas in order to reach a truthful approximation or do you expect me to assume up an answer?

So your answer remains I don't know sir ...

Beauty of nature suggest there must be an invisible creator behind it.

i showed him how beauty of desert sand dune, the artistic depiction does not mean an invisible designer did but simply action of wind on dust...

Just like the flatness of the table i posted suggest there must be an invisible Cup on top of it..

Tonight was fun!!!
Lol, Is this your "get out of jail card"undecided. Weak and Invalid card, why not tell us how life banged into existence or emerged by "natural interactions". And please if your reply is gon be "I dont know", dont even bother.

Atheist; There is no God.
Theists; The world didnt just bang itself into existence. God created it.
Atheist; Thats silly, you gotta prove that. show me God.
Theists; A good physical evidence is creation.
Atheist; Whats "creation" and why must there be a creator. Well, I dont know how existence came to be but why not just be honest like me and admit "You dont know".
Theist; But i know, my reference is the Bible.
Hahn; No i said show me God
Theist; His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that you are without excuse.

instead of disproving what I said he play with words, this ain't English class, so go to school then go play with words.

What's funny is how u can twist words and meaning.
I was replying to the title of the forum, get it yet?

Contradiction - the act of saying something that is opposite or very different in meaning to something else. : a difference or disagreement between two things which means that both cannot be true.

So where the contradiction?

A contradiction is to believe that nothing existed before the world yet "nothing" made everything exist.

Assumption -a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof.

If u saying I'm making assumptions, I guess u making them to by claiming there is no God, yet with no proof.

Atheist; Oh great,a man-made book
Theist; What then do you refer to.
Atheist; My knowledge and "More reasonable man-made books"
Theist; Ok, but why do you care so much? I mean, there is no God right.
Atheist; Simple, cos i dont believe and i need you and the world in general to think freely and "not believe" with me. We've been brainwashed for long. We need to stop believing.

This pretty sums up the back and forths between unbelievers and believers in the religious section everyday.

As far as i'm concerned, the honest atheists constitute about 20% of their totality. Dont ever think that you're contending with the natural when argueing with atheists. It takes prolonged agony and determination to reject accountability and be an atheist. Same goes for an unrepentant assasin. You cant show sense to a seared conscience 1tim4:2, You can only hope they find grace

Why do you sound so bitter ?
Has life been so unfair to you ?
Don't worry , no one about to take away your last sanctuary(delusional beliefs).
I will only encourage you to ask questions, ignorance is not bliss.
I should turn your questions on you. If you think the other does not sound pained, then your brain cells are even worse than theirs.
Life is unfair to me and i come to religion section to post topics. Life is not unfair to you but you are very passionate about a non-existent idea.
Think about that with sincerity, you'll discover you're a special type of fool.
I dont ask questions from fools, fools that keep saying "we all dont know and we need you not to know with us". Dont be unnecessarily stup1d, go check up the meaning of ignorance.

Whew... U sound angry and frustrated man. What's really the matter? Shouldn't be this Gods fight and not urs? Why are u drinking panadol on top another persons headache?

We I some times understand ur frustration. You waste countless pages defending a supposedly existent and powerful being. Yet he is no where to be found. Yes, this really can be frustrating.

A creator whose creation doubts his existence... How did u find urself here? What form of insanity is this?
Whose headache, God fights for us but he quoted me you animal. I waste countless pages typing in religion sectionhuh I believe in God thats why. Why are you on countless pages of the religion section undecided are you enchanted? Must you be foolish simply because im replying another atheist. Did you even read the previous quotes. You people are just mad.
You dont believe in God, but its not enough that you dont believe, you need other people not to believe with you. I understand, this is the platform where you can make all the noise you'll ever make so Knock yourself out. But dont do it foolishly.

I am not worth your reply or valuable time but you still took time to reply me. Crazy hypocrite. Go along and keep spreading the word of the God that lives in your head, the one that allegedly created the universe but still relies on failed humans like you to spread his message for him.
I replied you, and you should count that as a priviledge. I reiterate, you're just one of those jobless irrelevancies. Your words dont count and thats why you spend your life here talking about something that does not exist day in day out.
Yeah, God lives in my head, the same way He lived in the heads of great world changers. Pained b*tches like you will only wail till time runs out, that what you're good for. No one gives a hoot what you feel, except maybe your fellow reta*ds. Get a life.
