Tanx for this info. But how do I apply or how do I obtain application for a group of people? I also will need some personal discussions with you on getting a group to attend. So which of the e-mail addresses at the end of your posts go directly to you. Thanx.

Any of the email or phone contacts get to me directly!

upengineer,

I will like to inform you that your cousin application to EMU has been transferred to his chosen department and in few days his acceptance letter will be ready and his scholarship.

I also got your documents regarding your intention to continue with oil and gas studies in NC or Turkey. I will like to inform you that the most reputable university in Turkey that offers such program is MIDDLE EAST TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY (METU), this university is highly reputable and world recognized in terms of research and quality. METU offers master, PhD and undergraduate programs in Petroleum and gas engineering, oil and gas engr. You can apply as transfer applicant to final year of undergraduate programs or master level (ONLY if your HND can be considered which i doubt since the university requires 4years bachelor degree) but with your other qualifications, intimidating CV and experience you might be considered for master program. The tuition fee is very affordable. Medium of instruction in this university is English.

Entrance Requirements for Graduate Programs

i) Official transcripts for all graduate and undergraduate level coursework completed up to the time of application, notarized or attested. (For application purposes an official transcript is defined as a record, which bears the signature of the registrar and the seal of the institution)

ii) Letter of intention prepared by the applicant describing his/her background and goals in graduate study, and

iii) Two letters of reference.

iv) The applicants are also required to submit their graduate examination score and

v) English Proficiency Test result.

Applicants to graduate programs must take GRE and Applications to Graduate School will not be considered complete without the official graduate examination and English proficiency scores.

Deadlines for applications are March 31st for Fall Semesters(September) and October 31st for Spring Semesters(February).

You can find very valuable information on the university website www.metu.edu.tr and also http://www.pete.metu.edu.tr/index.php?sect=admission

METU also have campus in north Cyprus but only offers the programs at undergraduate level. But the university offer master in energy related which you can apply for and you maybe so lucky to have tuition waive and still get salary at METU NC campus, kindly read more about these on their site.

Read, email the school or call the university to clear any questions you may want to ask. wish you gdluck!

tunapa4dem,

Am so sorry i cant help you or your situation. You actually caused this unsolvable problem to yourself. Little explanation: Your first post here about your age, i replied the post on what you should send to me like motivation letter, CV etc, then i will pull the strings by convincing the admission unit. Instead I TOO KNOW(dont get angry with this words) made you send the documents to the Vice Rector ignoring WIP4(As who is WIP4 when i know the vice rector) not knowing that WIP4 is in charge of African scholarships of EMU knows the problems of African applicants and can convince the units. Very unfortunate, the vice rector called my student assistant to print your documents and take it to the admission unit but they REJECT your application. You called my office before you complicate issues, i asked for your age declaration but you kept calling the vice rector unfortunately the admission units already feed in your details in the system as REJECTION so no matter how anybody try now the computer will keep rejecting your application.

So Mr Wip4 cant help you now, am so sorry. I will advise you to check other universities in north Cyprus if you must study in NC or any other country. wish you goodluck in your educational pursuit.

tunapa4dem,

I will like to inform you that i am the same person you have been calling at the international center of EMU and i requested some documents from you to be sent to my official email: scholarship@emu.edu.tr. you are gettin me confuse. I wrote in my previous post that you had already sent your documents to the admission units and the admission units would not be able to admit you due to your age.

I requested for a motivation letter, a declaration and CV and possibly your OND result maybe i can push 4u but you seems not to listen to advice. Are you called me this morn that you already sent the requested documents but i have not received it in my official email.

Hello,

I do not reciv your email. To study in Any Turkish university, you must have written and passed the minimum scored required in both SAT and TOEFL as an international student applicant. Without those scores from the required exams you cant be admitted into any Turkish University. About the deadline and application fee procedure, you can read that on their website and incase you are not clear with any information, kindly email or call the international center or registrar office of the said university. They are in the best position to answer ur questions. ONLY ur NECO or SSCE wont be accepted.

tunapa4dem,

Thanks for the interest in our university. Very unfortunate after receiving your call tru our international office today, i was with the V-Rector of the university and i happened to stumble tru your credentials which you did not inform me wen you called that you already sent to the university. I was actually waiting for the motivation letter from you stating why you are still at home till 25yrs and other requested documents when i was informed ur documents had bin sent to them since.

Its so unfortunate that the admission unit would not be able to admit you due to your age. Wish you best in your future educational pursuit!

tunapa4dem,

The Maximum age for undergraduate applicant in EMU is 25yrs. Now you are above 25yrs, the university might reject your application.

OAM4J,

Thank you ooo and tank the Robot and the owner.

@confluence,

If you are buying cloth in large qties is BAN but a useable qty is not BAN but if you must beliv me i still wonder if there is any company in Nigeria producing these products for the masses, if your answer is NO then this product is imported into Nigeria. When you visit Turkey, there is a shipping line called Bayraktar, you will wonder how fleets of containers full of clothing material are being shipped down to Nigeria and how do they pass tru.

Also, Turkey has one of the best suit that is hot cake in Nigeria, you can also look at that angle. Also you can venture in any other business like car parts, consumables, electronics etc wish you luk !

TravelRe: Going To Turkey by wip4: 2:44pm On Apr 14, 2011
Thanks OAM4J kiss

@confluence,

First, you will need to do some research on your potential consumer, You will need to know what they like or what is moving in your area and is not easily accessible or is cheaper to get at Turkey but a bit expensive In Nigeria. Solving this Maths will give you idea on on what products you will buy.
Turkey is an industrialized nation where you can find everything you want. Turkey is one of the largest producer of textile material and also most major car companies have base in Turkey and you can find parts of automobiles in Turkey. The difference btwn Turkey and Dubai is that Turkey most of all these products are manufactured in Turkey but most of the products are export to Dubai by Chinese, Japanese, American companies due to Zero or less import duty.

To buy from Turkey you can Google some manufacturing units of the products you want and make inquiries with the company so you will have brief idea on what they sell and how you can ship it down etc. You can also visit Turkey to know more about the products and now is the right time cos there is SALES FAIR now at Istanbul that will end in 20days.

@D328babe

AM yet to know when you plan to travel to Turkey? anyway As i said in my previous post, clothing material is cheap at Adana very well cos of large textile manufacturing units and most produce from Adana and take to Istanbul to sell but that does not mean things are expensive in Istanbul. You being a first timer as i assumed, I will advise you to visit Istanbul first and if you do have time and money you can also visit Adana in this ur trip.

Turkey is a country that shares one part in Europe and Another part in Asia so most of these Manufacturing units are located at the extreme of both sides. You can find a cheaper products most mall but if you are considering selling and making good profits then you will need to check out this Manufacturing units but then you must be producing in large qty. Like some of the company can produce very quality women dresses, suits and jean for you. You can also brand your products which goes for extra charges.

For Example i do produce jean from Mavis a company located in Marmara in Turkey, they have very quality jean wears, NCS jeans etc and you can buy at cheaper rate.

I will advise you to visit Istanbul now cos there is SALES FAIR now that is 40days fair will end soon and you will meet alot of Manufacturer and buy at cheaper prices. You can also go to this place KADIKÖY- the ASIAN SIDE of Istanbul- OPTIMUM OUTLET SHOPPING CENTER. And also ZEYTİNBURNU- The EUROPEAN SIDE-OLIVIUM SHOPPING CENTER.

I tink my little piece will help you. Have a great shoppings!!!

D328babe ,

Ok, that is a good one. Many people do buy from Istanbul cos its like Lagos in Nigeria but 2yrs ago that i decided to visit ADANA i discovered alot of secrets hmmm like things i do buy like own-label on Tshirt i manufactured in Istanbul at 10Usd goes for 7USD same quality and design at Adana and many other things. So i will prefer you to also visit Adana apart from Istanbul. I will like to know when you plan to visit Turkey and for how long you will stay? The hotel depends on your pocket in Adana you can find from 25USD upward and decent hotel near Taksim or grandbazar in Istanbul can also range from 30USD pa nite.

When am less busy and wen u tell me ur schedule i can give you some names of shops or manufacturer to make some choice, pls beware of pple planing to help you on arrival as some pose like holy pple but main aim is is to defraud you both Blacks and Whites,do not give your money out to anyone unless the main store you are buyin. got a bit busy pls but will try to drop some stuffs!

vandarsar ,

Hey broda, You are not poor and dont see yourself as being poor, No man can tell whether he is rich or poor by turning to his environment. It is the heart that makes a man rich. He is rich according to what he is, not according to what he has.

Just be calm broda your acceptance letter should be out this coming week, it takes some little time for acceptance letter to come for a transfer applicant cos EMU we need to evaluate the transcripts and also check the originality before granting the acceptance letter which can be like within weeks. AS soon as your letter is out you can apply for scholarship and send all the required documents for scholarship to me scholarship@emu.edu.tr

Joxiri,

I know most cities in Turkey as hav lived there and also visit a lot. But now am not in Turkey but your current location is so far even by car to TAKSIM SQR its almost 6hrs driving. I dont tink somebody can come and drive you from your location to TAKSIM unless the person is actually going to TAKSIM. And if you want to Trek it will take you almost 4days to arrive to Taksim from yesilkoy. Sometimes there are buses from Karabük to Taksim which is cheaper but then you have to trek to Karabük from yesilkoy which maybe like 2hrs. But the best bet for you is take a TAXI or ask around the bus station cos i dont know your exact location where you are. Also taksim is not only palce you can shop you can also shop at grand bazaar which is like 4hrs Trekking from your present location.

Goodluk in your shoppingsss
