Religion / What Does The Bible Say About The Tongue Of The Mouth by Wisdomcephas(m): 12:11am On Dec 22, 2016
The tongue as a vital muscular organ in the mouth has a prominent role to play in our walk with God. Nothing that was created, or that can be created without the tongue of the mouth being part of it. For instance, salvation cannot be complete without the tongue of the mouth playing an important role of confession. So the tongue is an integral part of our salvation. When there is no tongue, word of the mouth ceases to exist!

Definition of the Tongue
The tongue can be defined as a flexible muscular organ in the mouth that is used to move food around, for tasting and that is moved into various positions to modify the flow of air from the lungs in order to produce different sounds in speech.

From the above definition of the tongue, we can say that the tongue basically performs three major roles:

· It moves food around in the mouth.

· It’s used for tasting

· It’s moved into various positions to modify the flow of air from the lungs in order to produce different sounds in speech.

For the purpose of this teaching, we shall be narrowing down this study on the last function of the tongue, which is to modify the flow of air from the lungs in order to produce different sounds in speech. Remember, NO TONGUE! NO SPEECH! www.wordeverlasting.com

What Does The Bible Say About Masturbation

Romans 1:24 says, Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
By Evang. Wisdom Peter A.

WHAT IS MASTURBATION?

Masturbation is the stimulation of one’s genitals or other parts of the body with one’s hands for sexual pleasure.

Today, we live in the world in which sin has been modernized. Sin has become a normal thing. People are empowered by the laws of the country to commit sin The Bible is not silent on this issue – the issue of masturbation. Notwithstanding the fact that the word “masturbation” did not appear in the Bible, God’s word has clearly shown us the actions that lead to masturbation, Anything that cannot pass the test and scrutiny of God’s word, has failed to glorify God in our lives. Instances of the actions that lead to masturbation abound in the Bible. Can those actions glorify God in our lives?

But, what does the Bible say concerning Masturbation?

Well, the Bible did not really mention masturbation, or say whether or not masturbation is a sin.

It’s true that the word “masturbation” did not appear in the Bible. However, the actions that lead to masturbation were adequately stated in the Bible.

In this brief teaching, we shall be looking at the actions that lead to masturbation, the negative side effects of masturbation, the spiritual consequences and how to deal with these actions.

Let me show you what some have pointed out to be masturbation in the Bible, which I think is not. Let us open our Bibles to Genesis 38:9-10. It says, And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother. And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also. READ MORE: www.wordeverlasting.com

What is Adultery? Adultery is an act of sexual relations with someone other than one's wife or husband. For us Christians, it's a sin of a married man having sexual intercourse with anyone other than his wife or a married woman having sexual intercourse with anyone other than her husband.

Bible References

Exodus 20:14
Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Hebrews 13:4

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

Matthew 15:19-20

For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Proverbs 6:32

But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

Luke 18:18-20

And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

Matthew 5:27-28

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

1 Corinthians 7:2-5

Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

Romans 7:2-3

For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

Blood of the Lord – In 1st Corinthians11:27 It says, "Therefore, whoever eats the b read or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord."

Blood of Jesus Christ – 1 John 1:7 says, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his son, purifies us from all sin.”

Blood of His Cross – Col. 1:19-20 says, “For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.”

Blood of the Lamb – Revelation 7:14 says, I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."

What is Abortion? Abortion is the cessation or expulsion of an embryo or a fetus that is not normally able to live outside the womb.
Miscarriage, a spontaneous natural termination of a pregnancy may result from human errors, failures or accident.
Deliberately induced abortion simply to avoid giving birth to unwanted child is the willful taking of human life. The Embryo and focus are considered precious before God.

Psalm 139:16
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

What the Bible says about Abortion
The Bible does not specifically mention the word "abortion". However, we understand that abortion has to do with the expulsion of the embryo or fetus, which cannot normally live outside the womb. Therefore, we can boldly say that the embryo and fetus are mentioned in the scriptures.

Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

See how precious God views the life of the unborn
The unborn child is precious to God. He views the embryo and fetus as His image yet unborn, living in the womb.

Psalm 119:73
