engineerboat: Two Months After Commissioning, $111m Port Harcourt Airport Yet To Become Operational
Two Months After Commissioning, $111m Port Harcourt Airport Yet To Become Operational “It is bad that two months after the commissioning of Port Harcourt airport, we are yet to use the new terminal. We all knew from the beginning that the terminal was not ready, but the minister forced the contractor to commission it. Now, months after the forceful commissioning, no one is able to use the terminal. As at Monday, serious work was still ongoing at the terminal and it may not be ready by March next year. That is the challenge we have been facing in this sector," a source told SaharaReporters.
BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORKDEC 26, 2018
The commissioning of the Port Harcourt International Airport (PHIA), Omegwa, Port Harcourt on October 25, 2018 was with fanfare, but two months after the inauguration, the airport is yet to be opened for use.
Investigation revealed that the airport, which was constructed by the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Ltd. (CCECC) Nigeria, for $111.1million was yet to be completed by the contractor.
A source close to the Ministry of Transport, Aviation Unit, told our correspondent on Wednesday that the new terminal may not be ready for use until March 2019.
According to the source, Hadi Sirika, Nigeria's Minister of State for Aviation, had "hoodwinked President Muhammadu Buhari to commission the terminal after the crisis that trailed the failed attempt on a new national carrier for the country".
It was gathered that the contracting firm had told Sirika that the new terminal was not ready for use, but the minister had insisted on commissioning the terminal at the time in order to get commendation from the president.
Investigation by SaharaReporters revealed that intense work was still ongoing at the new terminal, as several equipment were still being fixed by the contractors.
Speaking on the state of affairs at the airport, the source said: “It is bad that two months after the commissioning of Port Harcourt airport, we are yet to use the new terminal. We all knew from the beginning that the terminal was not ready, but the minister forced the contractor to commission it.
“Now, months after the forceful commissioning, no one is able to use the terminal. As at Monday, serious work was still ongoing at the terminal and it may not be ready by March next year. That is the challenge we have been facing in this sector.”
At the commissioning in October, President Muhammadu Buhari had said that the new terminal would further open up the economic activities in the state as goods and cargo movement would increase in the state and other neighbouring states.
Buhari said the new terminal would accommodate at least seven million passengers annually, adding that it would further bring the nation's aviation industry up to international standards.
He emphasised that plans were underway to link the Port Harcourt Airport to the ongoing construction of the Warri railway line, noting that this would also make air travel affordable and convenient for passengers.
Speaking at the commissioning, Buhari had said: "The concession of four international airports in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Kano and Abuja will improve infrastructure in Nigeria. Our desire is to make air travel more affordable to all and this we are achieving with the commissioning of these new terminals. I want to commend the Chinese Exim Bank for their financial support towards the completion of this project".
Also, Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers State, had stated that the South South region was happy with the project, stating that it would foster further investment in the state.
"I can tell you this today that the people of Rivers State and the Niger Delta are happy with you Mr. President. This terminal here will help the drive of the state to grow the economy and it will attract investment to the state. What has happened here shows that Rivers State is safe, Rivers State is secure and if it was not, CCECC will not have been here to construct this," Wike said.
http://saharareporters.com/2018/12/26/two-months-after-commissioning-111m-port-harcourt-airport-yet-become-operational News is not complete, how can you shows us image that looks like it was taken when the airport is closed for the day but said they are still installing heavy equipment. Why can't you do an under cover journalism and get us the image of the installations going on. |

But because of how lawless they are they decided to forcefully use the place. THE CHURCH IS NOT YOUR PROBLEM!
By Hadizat Ibrahim
From my salary, I pay about 15% as tax to the government monthly. When I make certain purchases, stay over in hotels, make flight bookings, shop for groceries, I still pay taxes - consumption tax, VAT, state tax...
Most Nigerians I know pay tax.
And we don’t even have a say on most of these taxes - they are either deducted from source or they are simply not optional. Yet, I can’t say my life has improved significantly in comparison to my tax deductions and that of million others. Light - we still don’t get 24 hour power supply. Highways - the roads are a nightmare. Security - still not guaranteed. Public Healthcare - mostly inefficient. Public Education - mostly poor.
But I pay tithe...voluntarily. A minimum of 10% of my income. I pay offering...voluntarily. Nobody forced me to pay these. I give to Kingdom projects. My church decides to build an edifice that I am proud of...fully complete with AC, waste disposal system, public toilets and other things my government can’t even seem to get right (even at airports - our gateway to the nation!)
My church builds a worship center where I am free from distractions and I can communicate freely with God.
I don’t pay for anointing services that expand my territory; for communion services that perfect my healing and activate my consciousness for eternal life; for worship programmes that take me to the ThroneRoom of the Master; or for prayer sessions that unlock the mysteries of life and the Kingdom.
No, I don’t pay for illumination or direction in any area of my life...Jesus is the LIGHT...as taught in my Church from the Bible. I am not confused about direction or purpose...Jesus is the WAY! My health is intact and when I have a scare and I need someone to pray with/for me...my Pastor gladly steps up and takes authority...charging nothing...because God wishes above all things that I be in health. I have enjoyed covenant security at no cost.
Week in, week out, God (through the Church and my Pastors) blesses me...yet my government fails me at every turn!
Dear Activist,
What exactly have you done to hold government accountable for the taxes they receive but can’t fix the basics of standard living?
Yet, you are convinced that you have a moral right to complain about church edifices that members gladly contributed to erect?
Focus, my friend. The Church is not your problem!

iykepromotions: send in your email address. On how to know the end user of a domain. This is done before buying the domain. Before you buy the domain go to Google or bing.com and type only the keywords of that domain. If those keywords are popular and rich, there will be several websites/companies bearing same or related keywords with the domain. Those are potential end users that will need it to further boost their business and traffic.
For example go to bing.com and type UK stove and hit the search button. You will see several companies bearing almost same name and keyword. If you're the owner of ukstove.com and you need money fast or just want to make a quick sale, all you have to do is to go to the websites of those related keywords one by one and contact them using the domain sales letter. Like I wrote earlier this one of the fastest ways to sell a domain.

Business › Re: Top Paying Online Marketing Programs Nigerians Can Sign Up For by wisdomhuz: 4:05am On Aug 29, 2018 |
Lazyreporta: Internet marketing is one outstanding approach to profit on the web. This could be through offering physical and digital items, SEO consulting, Social media management, placing advertisements and sponsored posts, and most particularly, Affiliate Marketing.
Partner promoting (Affiliate Marketing) in Nigeria and numerous other African nations is seen as an online plan of action that hasn't generally taken off, and all things considered, numerous bloggers and people never at any point attempt to investigate its chances or truly comprehend what it takes to profit online from it.
This high disregard has caused a great deal of bloggers or individuals trying to profit online to focus around driving a considerable measure of traffics to their sites, so they can inevitably gain a genuinely humble pay through placing advertisements, publishing sponsored posts, or setting up promotion systems like Google Adsense on their sites.
While these are incredible approaches to profit on the web, they're a long way from the most lucrative. Profiting from Advertisement requires having a great deal of traffics to make even $1,000 a month. This is consummately satisfactory by a huge number of individuals, however it is lamentably one of the slightest lucrative approaches to profit online in light of the fact that, even 100,000 daily page views may not gain you up to $2,000 in a month, depending on the Advertisement arrange you run with.
At this point, is where affiliate marketing comes in. It's an astonishing method to acquire cash through web promoting, because affiliate programs, especially high paying affiliate programs will remunerate you with a specific percentage for each effective sing up you bring their way.
A decent case is LivePlan, a remarkable business plan writing tool. For each sign up you bring their direction, they'll pay you $20. In the event that you get 1,000 organizations or people to sign up through your affiliate link in one month, you'll earn $20,000. Now that is a ton of cash!
To amplify your affiliate marketing earning potential, it is imperative to run your contents advertising through different high paying affiliate programs from Nigeria or any place else you are on the planet.
The astonishing part of joining high paying affiliate programs is that they generally pay up what you're owed, as long as you don't break any of their terms and conditions.
If you think you can’t join high paying affiliate programs from Nigeria, you've been entirely wrong. In this article, I've featured 10 lucrative affiliate marketing programs that won't simply dependably pay you for your hustle, however can be joined from Nigeria and numerous different nations around the globe.
Udemy Udemy is one of the world’s largest online tutoring platforms with a vast number of highly valuable courses, which are all put together by thousands of highly experienced instructors.
The web platform’s service is so darn good that, if you’re looking for ways to learn something exceptional on any topic at all, and want to pay a low cost and still get a certificate of completion, Udemy is your best bet!
Their courses are also mostly far better and more intuitive than whatever you would have paid for in Nigeria or any other country around the world.
Asides from their online courses, Udemy also runs a high paying affiliate program through LinkShare. In their affiliate program, they pay the affiliate marketer 40% of whatever the value of the course they successfully got a lead for is.
With most of their courses costing about $200, getting 100 people to register for a $200 course would rake in at least $8,000 in affiliate marketing revenue for the referrer.
Udemy also offers exceptional affiliate marketing courses on their platform. For instance, the “Affiliate marketing course for beginners to start & succeed“ on Udemy is one of the most powerful affiliate marketing courses on the internet. LivePlan is also one of the high paying affiliate marketing programs, and will pay $20 per sign up. If you can drive 100 successful signups every month, you’d earn at least $2,000 monthly from it.
GetPoinDexter: GetPoinDexter is a great startup that helps small businesses and individuals automate the forecasting and budgeting for their business plans easily.
They run an affiliate program where they reward their affiliates with a 20% commission on every successful sale you bring to them.
You could promote GetPoinDexter to small businesses and people you know that have problems creating simple financial forecasts and budgets.
Kickstagram: Kickstagram is a powerful platform that can turn any Instagram page into a powerful sales and marketing channel. It is a platform that is perfect for PR professionals, marketing professionals, sales professionals, resellers, freelancers, affiliates, and bloggers.
They also run an affiliate marketing program where they pay affiliates 15% of the value of any transaction they bring their way.
StartupLister: When people are launching technology companies or any product at all, they find it difficult getting online publications, especially foreign media companies, to feature them on their website, which could expose them to more customers and investors.
A group of people identified this problem, and came up with StartupLister.
What the platform basically does is to help you submit your startup information to over 120+ blogs for a feature. This saves you the stress of trying to pitch major publications to feature your business, and also exposes your company faster than it should have.
Coupled with this, StartupLister offers a high paying affiliate program where they reward each affiliate with 20% of whatever a referrer the person brings on board pays.
So if a referrer pays $89, you’ll earn $17.8 per person. If another pays $299, you’ll earn $59.8 per person.
You can promote your StartupLister links on technology blogs, gossip sites, Facebook, and a lot more places.

Please tell the PDP fan and those we gave the chance to rule for 16 Solid years who instead of governing and making life better for us the citizens, they where busy looting and sharing our common wealth to their In-laws, concubines, Slay Queens and all the rest that I can't mention should also allow this government to show us what they can offer too. The problem of Nigeria didn't start today neither did it start the 16years PDP was in charge of Affairs of the government at the centre, but PDP failed us the citizens big time.
We were living a false life then believing all was okey not knowing that they were covering so many mess.
Like I have also said to friends, it will be unfair to judge this government now barely 2 years plus into the mess PDP brought us into whereas it took us 16 years before we could say we don't want them again.
Also, I think there is no one that wants to build a solid house with a firm foundation, that will start it today and finish it the next morning and also pack into the same building that next day. I think that structure will be a disaster waiting to happen.
So let's give this government a chance. Reno and his co travellers should give Nigerians a chance please let's also see what this Party APC will give to us for the time they will be in power. If they fail us, we will also show them the way out just the way we showed PDP the closest exit door.
But they should also know that they (PDP) will never test the corridor of Power at the centre again because they are a national embarrassment. They should go and hide their face in the mould.
We Nigerians are wiser now.
What are they coming to do?
Is it to finish the looting they started or to completely sale the country.
Please oh they should go and rest and forget about the centre for now, we are yet to recover from the billions of dollars that got missing and the properties they used it to buy in choices places.
I should ask the PDP what stopped them from signing the FID for the OK LNG and Brass LNG projects that would have given Thousands of Job to masses. They where busy looting if any project will not put money in their pocket that one won't see the light of the day. |

Christianity Etc › Rnv Curriculum:the Letter That Upset Adeboye, Oyedepo, Kumuyi, Others In Pfn. by wisdomhuz(op): 3:03pm On Jul 04, 2017 |
Thanks for your request to give you a copy of the Federal Ministry of education 9 year basic education curriculum on "Religion and National Values" book. The book was a product of the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council ( NERDC), a parastatal, under the Ministry of Education.
The issues with the curriculum
1. On pages 17 and 46 of the "Religion and National Values" curriculum for Primary one to three (Primary 1-3) are statements that are not only inciting but derogatory to a particular religious belief and faith ( Christianity).
Specifically
a) On page 17 under Theme Islamic studies and Sub theme Sarah and Tahdib Primary 1 to 3 pupils in their formative years are taught the Supremacy of Prophet Mohammed and the Quran over all others. That Mohammed was the seal of all the Prophets, sent to the whole world and Quran the final guidance of Allah to mankind.
b) In page 46 of the same book produced with tax payers money who include Muslims and non Muslims
That Prophet Isa known to Christians as Jesus Christ is not the son of God That Jesus was not crucified. What a blasphemy.
The implications are the creation of a sense of supremacy of Islam over other faiths and completely denigrating Christianity.
If this has been restricted to Muslims alone, that could have been excused, but putting it in a curriculum for all is provocative and insulting.
The Nigeria Christian Graduate Fellowship took this matter up with the current executive director of NERDC and his team in Abuja and I was was a member of the NCGF team. His response
1. The two subjects are to be taught separately. A Muslim will take Islamic study and a Christian pupil CRK.
NCGF RESPONSE
Theoretically, this is true, but in actual practice, this is not the truth. We gave examples of several states in the North where the state governments refused to employ CRK teachers including Niger state where CAN (Christian Association of Nigeria) even offered to send volunteer CRK teachers and the government still refused.
As the subject is compulsory for the students, the Christian students in those states are forced to listen to such negative teachings at such a tender, highly impressible age.
NERDC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR RESPONSE
Parents of such Christian students should take the government to court.
We replied that it was ridiculous as it is the duty of the state to ensure fundamental rights of the citizens which include freedom of association and religion. We also informed him of the slow process of the Nigerian judicial matters.
Our recommendations
1. The offending statements should be expunged from the curriculum.
2. If the state governments can not provide adequate teachers for the 2 subjects, then the 2 subjects should not be compulsory at all.
Thank you once again for your interest. We have also included other relevant information we have on this subject matter.
With my best regards Prof Charles Adeyinka Adisa. MD, FWACS, FACS.
President, Nigeria Christian Graduate Fellowship. |
Investment › Digital Currency: Your Last Warning To Invest! Are We Buying Or Selling? by wisdomhuz(op): 1:10am On Jun 17, 2017 |
When it comes to investing, there aren’t many opportunities as lucrative as digital currency.
Since 2010, Bitcoin and the next wave of digital currencies have been generating income for investors. In 2016, digital currencies skyrocketed. It is important to know that digital currency is a technology still in it’s infancy. But it has already made early investors millions. And the revolution is just getting started . According to digital prophets..
“this investment is not for everyone. Digital currency investors are the bold individuals who want to grab the charging bull by the horns. They are the investors who are willing to take risks for incredible reward.” Last Warning..
Technology gurus have already proclaimed that digital currency is the future of finance. Google CEO Eric Schmidt calls it “a cryptographic achievement… that has enormous value.”
Bitcoin has doubled in value last year — a feat it will do again this year based on current projections.
Ethereum, the digital currency rallying to take Bitcoin’s crown, has experienced steady upward growth since its introduction in 2015 too
Even the smaller currencies are gaining traction, enjoying a “halo effect” prompted by Bitcoin’s incredible success.
And this upward growth, is unstoppable.
Major companies have already started incorporating it into their business models. In fact, one digital currency has its own alliance that includes dozens of companies, many from the Fortune 500, that are heavily invested in digital currency. Here are the names of a few:
Microsoft JPMorgan Chase Intel Thomson Reuters BP These companies recognize the power that digital currency has to fix our current financial woes and improve our financial systems.
Are we buying or selling?
For the safety minded investor, “a bird at hand is worth more than thousands in the bush”. For the quick witted investor, this is the time to rake in as much as can be raked in. The sad truth is that government-backed currencies don’t work. The average life expectancy of a government currency is 27 years. History proves this. You’ve heard the horror stories of whole countries that were brought to their knees by currency fluctuations and hyperinflations.
After World War I, Germany’s currency value dropped so dramatically that it was useless to German citizens. Parents were forced to burn money to keep their children warm.
The same currency devaluation happened to Greece in 2010. You can also ask the Zimbabweans of their current economic plight.
That is why digital currency has become the viable alternative. Digital currency is finite. Like gold, only so much can exist at a time. This amount is tightly monitored by a digital algorithm. No government can manipulate it. And this means that all digital currencies exist in a self-maintaining, secure system. It is not late, yet |
