Yes you heard right, seeing the result coming from the southwest gives me great joy that our fellow Nigerians from the south west are truly Democratic, Civilized and have a mind of their own.

Contrary to what some paid selfish folks here on this forum will want to make us think that the entire Yorubas will only listen to one man I n boudillion Street.

But from the act of patriotism as displayed in the voting pattern across the south west, I want to say a very big thank you to you all from delivering our country from the hands of tyranny.

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential
candidate of the Peoples Democratic
Party, is currently leading in the
Saturday’s presidential election in Oyo
state.
The election took place in all the 33 local
government areas in the state.
Mr Abubakar, in the results of the 10
local government areas so far
announced by the Independent National
Electoral Commission, is currently
winning in nine.
The results show that Mr Abubakar got a
total of 85, 109 votes while President
Muhammadu Buhari of APC secured a
total of 79,802 votes.
The results indicate that Mr Abubakar
won in Afijio, Saki East, Kajola, Ibarapa
North, Ibarapa East, Itesiwaju, Iwajowa,
Ibadan North West and Olorunsogo.
Mr Buhari has won in only one local
government area which is Irepo.

President Muhammadu Buhari is ahead of Atiku Abubakar, his main challenger in the election, in 10 out of the 44 local government areas of Kano state.

Kano is the stronghold of the president but Atiku pulled a surprise when he campaigned in the ancient city two weeks ago.

The Sani Abacha Stadium where he used as filled beyond capacity.

But at the end of collation of results by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in 10 LGAs, Buhari is in clear lead.

In Tofa local government area, Mohammed Murtala, returning officer for the local government, announced that the Buhari scored 19,984 while Atiku polled 7,732 votes.

In Madobi, the local government of Rabiu Kwankwaso, a strong ally of Atiku, Buhari secured 26,110 votes ahead of Atiku’s 13,111.

At Garun Malam, Buhari garnered 23,810 votes while Atiku scored 4,861 votes. In Bagwai local government. In Kunchi Buhari scored 20,375 and Atiku 4,983.

In Gabasawa, Buhari scored 24,420, while Atiku had 6,130. In Bunkure, the APC secured 7,232, while PDP got 9,528. In Rimin Gado, Buhari scored 20,589 while Atiku secured 10, 305.

In Karaye local government, the president scored 23,023 ahead of his rival who 8,265.

In Dawakin Tofa, the local government area of Abdullahi Ganduje, the governor, Buhari had 37,417 votes while Atiku polled 6,507.


The collation of results is ongoing while INEC has announced that the final results will be announced on Monday.

President Muhammadu Buhari is leading in Katsina State, from the four local governments results so far declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in the state.
Professor Fatima Muktar, the state collation officer, said the four councils so far declared are Ingawa, Kurfi, Matazu and Daura.

In Ingawa, Buhari of All Progressives Congress polled 29,230 as against Atiku’s PDP 7,625 while in Kurfi, Buhari got 25,074 against Atiku’s 9,175.
The President polled 27,625 in Matazu while Atiku got 9,151 and in Daura, Buhari got 37,648 against Atiku’s 4,650 .


So far, the APC has won al the four councils so far announced.
Daily Trust reports that the results of 30 other local governments are being awaited at the collation centre within the INEC state office.

PDP leads in Benue South By Hope Abah Emmanuel, Makurdi | Published
Early results from some polling units in parts of Benue State indicate that the PDP is ahead of APC and other parties in the Presidential and National Assemblies election in the Idoma speaking area of the state. At Owukpa in Ogbadibo Local government area of the state, the presidential result in Udaburu polling unit showed PDP scored 97 votes against APC’s 48 votes while at the Senate level, the APC had 45 votes and PDP polled 111 votes.
Similarly at Odobe polling unit in Ogbadigbo, the PDP got 57 votes and APC scored 27 while on the Senate race in the centre, APC had 28 and PDP 51 votes. In the same vein, the PDP scored 381 votes at Obotu polling unit in Otukpo local government area, leaving the APC with 103 and for the Senate, the PDP had 51 votes
