Ajibel: Same here. I admire the man a lot, but trust Nairalanders, they'll believe if you defend any politician, you are under their payroll. But I am not and I dont see Fashola as a career politician.
Negative reports would come. Fashola was the poster boy for APC.
Are you aware that for every negative reports that comes out on Fashola that trends, his response wont trend. Why? Bad news sells more and drive traffic.
When Premium times accused Fashola of corrupt practice, the news trended and he was insalted online, when his response came out which was very convincing, nobody carried the report.
When Fashola was accused of inserting 2 billion naira in the 2017 budget, he was accused of trying to pad the budget, the statement he released to defend himself didnt make FP.
You'll be aware every of his critics quote him saying he can fix power in 6 months, Fashola never said that. But would anyone care to know what he actually said?
This is why I take my time to bookmark links, save/download videos to correct wrong impressions about him. But something about the man shows he doesnt really care about the criticisms. He is more focused on delivering the campaign promises of his party.
What is this Orji Kalu saying Yeye man. You can't escape judgement. If you like praise all politicians from today till tomorrow. Even if you escape man's judgement you cannot escape God's judgement.
You are an epitome of a bad leader. Who still listens to you
Silly man with no brain but lots of money. He think he can buy any girl with his senseless display Them don spoil our girls finish. I am glad that there are still some with integrity.
My point is this, the problems are not beyond him. They are mostly human-related and administrative issues which he is capable of handling.
Yes the cabal is there. Fuel marketers and generator importers would lose so much if Power is fixed, but if Fashola wont take up the challenge, who will?
I am not worried about his image because it wont be tarnished. His efforts at what he is doing would always be on record for everyone who cares to follow his works to see.
For me, if he doesn't make much progress in Power, then I don't know if we can ever get it right in this country. But I follow what he does, read every article published about him or his interviews (both media and print) and I believe he is on the right part.
It's just a matter of time
Honestly If he can combat @ bolded then his name will forever be written in gold in the heart of Nigerians.
Fashola Fashion is someone I admire a lot.
I don't believe in this role model of a thing but Fashola is an exemplary of a role model to me.
Hence my worries when negative report was coming in from that quarter.
Your analysis is quite explanatory. I wish his PRO or spokesperson would do a good job out there to reassure the masses who also love him.
Ajibel: Building power plants or transmission grids wont happen in 30 days and it would also not take forever. There is a deadline to when these projects would come on stream and improve power supply. So it wont take forever! It would only take some time.
I dont see where I mentioned hate. My point is that you said he should have rejected one portfolio which is not suppose to be a good advise.
Fashola did well in Lagos State because apart from he knows what he is doing, he is SOLELY in charge.
But in power as in PHCN, he has little or no knowledge about it (correct me if I am wrong) and these cabal even if his intentions are good are not going to make it easy for him. Hence my advise.
If some certain Building power plants or transmission grids would take sometime, he should communicate this to well meaning Nigerians. Periodically I.e 5 day more before so,so and so... I mean this is one of his best characteristics while he was leading in Lagos State.
However he has accepted. He needs to curb the problem fast! Because I know that left for Fashola Nigerians would be having light 24/7 by now.
He needs to manage these cabal before they manage him and destroy the reputation he has built over the years.
I wish him all the best and I pray and hope that the good memory I/we have about him remain fresh.
Ajibel: There is nothing like a dent on his image. He took on the challenge, accepted it and is working hard to reverse the decay and you were expecting him to reject an opportunity to make things right, seriously
Is that how you support people you admire? Encourage them to chicken out?
If you noticed I encouraged him. I also advices him to act fast or is his improvements going to take forever
Besides if you like someone you are free to give them your candid opinion. It doesn't mean hate so chill!

: This man should have done the honourable thing since and resigned. I don't hate Fashola but the statement he made about a serious govt fixing power within 6months shot him in the foot.I really don't know why he accepted that portfolio. It's a dent to his image.
I love Fashola as a govt of Lagos State but as a Minister of power... It's a NO NO. Fashola please act fast I still want to hold on to that beautiful memory of yours.
Either that or his arrival is a surprise to them also. Anyways, God, make him arrival no bring hindrance ooooo.
