Former BBNaija housemate, Enkay has tendered an apology to Nigerians for maltreating fellow housemate, Cindy.

While in the house, recall that Cindy had approached Enkay to join her in a Ludo game, but Enkay blatantly refused, instead chose to play alone.

Meanwhile, The incident won sympathy votes for Cindy to the detriment of Enkay, who was evicted on Sunday, scoring the lowest number of votes.

After the eviction, Enkay realized why she scored the lowest vote. She apologised to Nigerians in a video on her Instagram page for her attitude towards Cindy.


Claiming she did not intentionally reject or look down on Cindy last week.

She said

“My attitude to Cindy was just a misunderstanding, it was absolutely nothing personal.

“I am not a condescending person, I will never look down on anyone, I am as humble as I can be.

“I apologise to anyone that felt I did try to look down on Cindy.”

Federal Government of Nigeria has lodged a complaint with the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) over the ‘live sex’ witnessed in the ongoing Big Brother Naija reality show.

The complaint led to arrangement for launch of a modified reality show where the true Nigerian culture will be shown, Nigerian food will be eaten and Nigerian dresses worn.

The National Council for Arts and Culture Director-General, Otunba Segun Runsewe disclosed this when paid a visit by the President of the National Council of Women Societies, Dr Gloria Shoda.

It is also expected that the NCAC will represent the 2008 Nudity Bill titled ‘A Bill for an Act to punish and prohibit nudity, sexual intimidation and other-related offences in Nigeria,’ sponsored by Emerged Ekaette, the former chairperson, Senate Committee on Women and Youth.

Otunba Runsewe said;

“We are going to represent that bill You can’t fight a battle without a legal framework; we are definitely going to be conscious of that”.

“I will take up the issue of Big Brother Naija; I have spoken with officials of the National Broadcasting Commission because what is going on now is terrible. Having love affairs on screen is not part of our own culture at all.

“Let me use this forum to tell Nigerians that a new Big Brother Naija is on its way coming and we are working with Startimes.

We are doing BBN that will reflect the true Nigerian culture. We are already working on it, all that will be eaten there will be Nigerian food, the dresses will be Nigerian dresses” .

The NCWS President on her own part said she was concerned with the negative impact the live sex has on Nigerian youths.

Shoda said,

“Having a live sex on stage is the thing affecting my sensibility and it is impacting negatively on the young children coming up.

Does it mean that they can’t abstain from sex for three months? I’m condemning the sex content on BBN.”

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has revealed a new drug Nigerian youths take to feel intoxicated.

Head of Drug Reduction of the NDLEA in Adamawa State, Shehu Dankolo revealed that some Nigerian youths now take processed urine to feel “high” as the ban on some abused drugs have made them relatively expensive.

He said,

“There are certain controlled drugs, particularly codeine cough syrup. You know, federal government clamped seriously on them. Some of the companies closed down.

So, the cough syrup that was initially N250 per bottle, but it is now sold for about N4,000. The same thing with tramadol which was N50 but is now about N500.

“Because these abused but banned drugs are so scarce and costly or entirely out of reach, people improvise other things.

I won’t include so much detail so that people don’t read this and begin to experiment.

“There is a way they process urine. They take it and become intoxicated. There is a way they put maggi in some energy drinks and it gives them intoxication.

There is a certain sweet they put in half bottle of water which they cover up and leave for some days. They form such other things.

There are what we call new psychoactive substances. That is why drug abuse is difficult to tackle”.

Recently, Jeff was evicted from BBNaija “Pepper Dem’ house. While in the house, Jeff avoided personal relationship with the female housemates.

There are some speculations that Jeff was married outside the house but kept it a secret unlike his fellow housemate, Mike.

In a recent interview, he denied rumours of being married.

He explained that he was not involved in any romantic relationship in the house because ‘he was not certain about their real character’.

He said;

“If I had a wife everyone would know, I’m not married.

“The rumours are not true, I’m not the type of person to hide my relationship or marriage status.

Former Daily Trust newspaper Editor, Ibrahim Dan-Halilu, has been arrested by the Department for Security Service (DSS) in Kaduna State for allegedly supporting the activities of RevolutionNow through a Facebook post.

The RevolutionNow in Nigeria was convened by the publisher of Sahara Reporters Omoyele Sowore.

Report shows that Dan-Halilu, a former staunch supporter of President Buhari before the 2015 elections was once a communication specialist with USAID, Information Assistant at the US Embassy and a Regional Communication Specialist for Family Health.

On Monday morning, It was gathered that DSS Operatives stormed Dan-Halilu’s residence in Rigachikun, Kaduna State and whisked him away.

Dan-Halilu posted on his Facebook timeline that he endorsed and supported the activities of #RevolutionNow.




The post reads:

“I feel I should share because it resonates with me. If resonates with you too, please share until all oppressed people of Nigeria get the message and domesticate it. This is #Not the Nigeria of My Dream.

“Somebody asked me why we need a revolution now, this was my reply: The aim of the revolution is to challenge the uncommon hardship why we have 16m children on the street; challenge why we have become the poverty capital of the world; challenge why we have 20 persons with corrupt cases as federal legislators and would-be ministers.

“We need to restructure the country. We need to put an end to trillions spent on electricity while we live in darkness and pay estimated bill for electricity and meters.

Why do we have huge oil reserves but our refineries are dead and we are re-importing what we exported as crude oil?

It is time to ask why those in government travel abroad for medical care when they have left our hospitals dilapidated; why they send their children to school abroad when our children learn under mango trees.

“We are revolting against the continuing killings that have left 20,000 Nigerians dead while those in office move around under state paid security and do nothing.

We are revolting against the because over a thousand Nigerians soldiers killed by Boko Haram have been secretly buried without identifiable graves, dignity or honour. $16m was purportedly spent on mosquito nets but our children die daily from malaria.

$320m Abacha loot was purportedly distributed to the poor. Where is the verifiable list? N500bn was purportedly distributed to the poor as so-called Trader-moni. Where is the verifiable list?

“…With divine grace, God gave us about 40 natural resources spread across the length and breadth of the country. No country on mother earth is as blessed!

The persons destroying Nigeria in and out of government are less than 10,000. For how long will the 201 million of us be silent? Forever? It will be sheer stupidity and very unfair of us to be silent and bequeath today’s sorry Nigeria to our children.

For how long shall we continue to endure bad leadership from certificate forgers, election riggers, ritualists and yahoo politicians, hoping upon hope for a better tomorrow when things get worse by the day? We are too rich to be poor. We are too blessed to be a mockery of the world!!! No!!!”

A security officer who spoke to PRNigeria in confidence, confirmed that DSS operatives had invited the former Daily Trust Editor on Monday night.

He pointed out that the reason behind the detention of Dan-Halilu was not for any serious issue.

He said;

"Contrary to the speculation going rounds, DSS just wants to get some necessary clarification from Mr. Dan-Halilu on vital security issues. That’s all and nothing more."
