mercylicious: Transcorp formed a doji on Thursday as seen by the tech indicators.
When u are considering the traded volumes, also consider the untraded vols. That stock was on full bid for the most trading time on Friday. Fingers crossed. We will watch and see how things unfold. Am not a fan of transcorp though but want to profit from the volatility. Transcorp have many oil wells already acquired. Why are the curbing out such results with all the assets already in their possession? Mercy thanks for this info... kindly share with the house where to get live NSE technical charts. |

Good Morning Fam...Just a reminder of the Basic Rules of Investing from the Oracle of Omaha ... 1.Buy low, Sell High. Buy high, Sell higher. In any case,Never loose money! 2.Be Greedy when others are fearful and be fearful when other are greedy for Greed and Fear are the main Drivers of the Stock Market, Not Buyers and Sellers. 3.Always refer to Rules No. 1 & 2 Enjoy Your Zenith Loot & Watch ConOil in 3D! |

tunene66: The bank had already paid interim dividend , so the final dividend will be 1.52 naira, which when taken against the market price is about 9.2%, but if you compare that of UBA 40K dividend, which when taken against the market price gives a yield of about 10.7%. So expect the price of GTB to go down and that of UBA to rise. Indeed i expect GTB price to go to b2w 15.50 and 16.00 With this kind of analysis, one would simply expect Afriprud with a cool 43k dividend to have hit 4.00 by now instead of 3.30 today. |

duni04: Oga stop confusing people. You can go short on a stock for 6 months or even more. Shorting means buying a stock in anticipation of falling price. I can borrow fbnh shares from my broker at N3.7 in anticipation of the price falling to N3.2, sell at a cheaper price after the price would have plummethed and then return the same quantity of units I borrowed to my broker with profit. And FYI I know brokers in Nigeria that give stocks to people to short and retrieve them back after the prices would have fallen. Nice one Chief... It would really be great if you share a list of Nigerian brokers that offer Margin Facilities and short selling here. More Gizzards to our Chickens This week! |

1. Average cost of producing oil in Nigeria is $13/bbl. It is less than $10 for majors producing from onshore fields. Ask any informed person in the oil industry. Here is some proof: http://guardian.ng/news/nigeria-ll-still-make-profit-on-oil-at-20-says-kachikwu/
2. What is important is that Nigeria's budget benchmark is $38. As long as oil is above $38, Nigeria will keep rising! Some more proof: https://www.thecable.ng/hurray-oil-prices-beat-budget-benchmark
My money is growing like grass. Chai Oga @Megainvest...Your Analysis fit make person high....always on point. More gains to your Portfolio Bro! What do you think about transcorp...currently holding at a 30% loss of value...If u were in my shoes would you divest in this dividend season or keep holding until uncle Tony is ready to make an announcement |

carpenter: It will not be a wise decision as the cost of the loan will out weigh the profits you get.
hypothetically, I think you won't get the loan of 1m (if you want less, yes) because you would be owing the bank more than 1m and if you default, they may get all their principal back but not the interest. Still not a good move Thanks a lot @ carpenter...I hope to plug the loan into agro business; fish farming, plantain plantation & vegetatables from which I am projecting @ least 70% profit in 12months...But the real question is; do banks accept mutual funds as collateral for loans? |
