Francis Uzoho, Nigeria’s rookie goalkeeper has all the attributes of a world class goalkeeper in the making. In the face of our goalkeeping crisis in which first choice keeper Enyeama has chosen to stay out of it, it may pay Nigeria a great deal to give Uzoho more game time using our upcoming friendlies so that we can condition him and get him ready for the world cup if he proves to be better than the rest.

every team need warriors. ndidi is a warrior in the midfield

with ndidi, moses, ekong, uzoho, Onaz, ogu I believe naija will do well in world cup. I believe these are our natural warriors

Nigeria played Argentina 4 times in the world cup. Argentina scored 7 goals while Nigeria sored 3. Nigeria's 3 goals are all from open play while Argentina has only scored one goal from open play against us. so that tells me if we defend set pieces better and prevent giving away free kicks in the wrong areas of the pitch then we will be ok.

Of Argentina's 6 goals from set pieces 3 are from avoidable free kicks while 3 are from corner kicks that could have been defended better. So when people say Africans are indiscipline this is what they mean.

In this 2018 world cup, I know the team is young but we must learn not to give away cheap goals. Teams will not outplay us by a great deal because of our genes and energy which is while black people lead in Athletics and boxing. But we must learn to be disciplined and organised if we want to go far.

Just as we were yet to finish celebrating our 4 -2 victory over Argentina in a Russia 2018 warm up friendly, we were once again drawn with Argentina in the world cup itself in group D. Make no mistake about it, even though beating Argentina was a good test, a different Argentina will turn up at the big stage. They are still 2 time world champions, they still have a player in Lionel Messi described as the best of this generation, they still have world class players like Aguero, Di Maria, Pavon, Banega, dybala, Macherano, Otamendi and the list goes on and on. Yes we may have beat Argentina just weeks ago and yes we have beat them before in Friendlies and youth level, but at the main world cup they have beat us 4 times without reply and we must have a deep look at why.

Echiejile is injured just like Moses, when this 2 are well and fit they should rejoin the squad. Echiejile is the only left footer we have in our squad. so we can not just dump him except we find another natural left back. Echiejile may have lost pace going forward but he is still a good defender.

I am glad about Uzoho's inclusion. I can see him displacing Daniel Akpeyi. We still need Enyeama back for his world cup experience. I don't think Enyeama should return as automatic number, he should be made to fight for his place and it must be made clear that Mikel remains captain after he returns. But I think for the world cup the 3 likely goalkeepers should be Enyeama, Uzoho and Ezenwa.

Defenders chosen are quite good. But Omeruo should be in the squad for his world cup experience and yet he is also young. All our defenders at the moment have not been to the world cup. Omeruo falls within the age bracket and yet he has been to world cup. He should be considered.

Midfielders: Uche Agbo should have been listed as a midfielder while Nwakali drops to standby. I don't think Nwakali is ready for world cup. Omeruo should take his place. Mikel Agu also seems very nervous, they should consider changing Mikel Agu for an attacking midfielder because right now only Iwobi is the natural attacking midfielder.

Forward: I still think the strike force is very blunt. Nwakaeme and Iheanacho are not among our best strikers out there. I guess they deserve a chance before subbing them but their deficiencies will show against argentina. I am glad Ahmed Musa is there as a winger I like Musa for his world cup experience, speed, workrate.

I will be surprised if Buhari put himself forward for 2019. Even Buhari know Buhari has failed.
