That's ok so long as the person know what they are doing |
safarigirl:Iheanacho has no fight in him. talking about taking advantage of spaces involves making off the ball runs. The 2 strikers I proposed are always on the move looking for the pass to come. watch them without the ball and you will appreciate what I mean. also ability to hold the ball up and invite others to join play involves having upper body strength. Against the likes of Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Germany . . . we may not be able to out-pass them for a great length of time. Our ball possession against the best might be weak, this is also another example where you need a striker up front with the strength to hold up play and give the defence some breathing space. Again Iheanacho is not that man. How about counter attack? Again Iheanacho does not have a lot of speed. He has done well for the country no doubt but we have better athletes and strikers. The 2 strikers I proposed can even dribble better than Iheanacho. Nwakaeme is using too much football age, he is too old! |
safarigirl:You are right team chemistry is very vital but the team must also seek to improve. Keshi made mistakes ahead o 2014 and there is no evidence that some of the new faces then were better than the players we had. However in this case we have a clear problem in front of goal. I wont be scared of Iheanacho, or Nwakaeme if I was a central defender. I think the 3 strikers we should go to world cup with should be Odion Ighalo, Imoh Fred Friday and Paul Onuachu we need strikers who can fight for goal and score when the opportunity presents itself. |
safarigirl:true but our forwards so far do not give us much. Imoh Fred Friday has the attributes of a real super eagles forward. Power, Pace and a more clinical finisher than Odion Ighalo Nwakaeme is lucky to have been invited, don't rate him much. Larry Kayode is a winger and not a striker. Odion Ighalo is alright but average, Iheanacho will not scare anyone at the world cup, he is too easy to pocket that's why Guardiola sold him We need strikers who can find and fight for their own goals even when the supply is not coming. For me Imoh Fred Friday is the best number 9 we have in a 4-3-3 formation; then Paul Onuachu as a sub in a 4-2-3-1 formation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJiGGF01ECw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkC5bh4Yr7k |
How about that for a line up with Paul Onuachu coming in as a sub for Imoh Fred Friday in the second half.
|
all these drastic steps Buhari takes in the name of fighting corruption usually does not work in the 80s he changed the colour of naira notes within a very short time just to fight corruption, yet corruption did not die in the 1980s. ordinary citizens are the one who suffered we need the economic policies of any government to be predictable, all these blanket orders and arbitrariness does not help |
TheSuperNerd:sounds like interesting prospect but do they want to play for Nigeria |
seriously we have better number 9 This Onuachu guy will be a handful for defence at the world cup Iheanachu will not make defence fear with the remaining Algeria match which is a Friendly really Nigeria should try new top strikers like Paul Onuachu and Imoh Fred Friday Iheanacho is not the real deal see the way Onuachu held a long ball for his team and went on to score https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htPnvJmi0XI |
my ideal line up
|
naijastoryz:OP you are right on most points I don't have faith in Ezenwa either. We need a different goalkeeper or let Enyeama return Echiejile is too old to be our number one left back. He used to be very good going forward when he had the legs but should be a squad player for now while he is replaced with a younger forward bombing leftback. Iwobi no doubt is our best number 10 We also need a new typical super eagles striker who is strong, big, skillful and lethal. I think we should start giving Imo Fred Friday the games and opportunity to develop into that role. http://wizz-poll.com/2017/10/08/imoh-fred-friday-may-be-the-new-emenike/ |
why not block this loan request at the NASS? PDP have the numbers to do this |
Federal character in sportsmen? are footballers government appointees? |
This will be the dumbest move for the people of Anambra. People should go out and vote. my take on the subject is here http://wizz-poll.com/2017/08/11/the-dangers-of-anambra-election-boycott/ |
TheSuperNerd:Thanks bro Keep up the good work |
http://wizz-poll.com/2017/10/08/imoh-fred-friday-may-be-the-new-emenike/ IMOH FRED FRIDAY AS THE NEXT EMENIKE As Nigeria bask in the glory of being the first African team to qualify for Russia 2018 it is time to give the boys who saw us through a pat on the back for a job well done but also take stock on how the team could improve on what they have done so far. All soccer pundits are unanimously in agreement that the strike force is an area that Nigeria can do better. Victor Moses keeps working hard and creating chances but we keep missing our chances. Against better opposition at the world cup we will be made to pay for any chances we miss. Odion Ighalo is also doing his best. Every footballer has an off day but it is important to have a rich bench you can count on to come in and give the opponent new kinds of problem. This is where I think Imoh Fred Friday will give a new dimension to the current super eagles team. As a big strong center forward who can score fantastic goals with either left or right foot, good in the air, strong enough to bully defenders and create a goal out of nothing but also has the intelligence and skill to bring others into play; Nigeria at this moment just have to give this guy a try to fight for at least the subs bench if not lead the line. Born in Port Harcourt Nigeria, Imoh Fred Friday currently plays in Netherlands Eredivisie for AZ Alkmaar. Friday started his career in the Nigerian league playing for clubs like Gabros and Unicem Rovers before leaving the shores of Nigeria in 2013 to play for Lillestrom in Norway. Friday struggled a bit to get going in Norway but soared in the 2015/6 season where he scored 17 goals in 29 games. He followed that up with 8 in 12 games before AZ Alkmaar went in for him and brought him to the Netherlands. Fred Friday is currently averaging an overall goal ratio of 1goal in 3 games and that’s not a bad statistics for a striker learning his trade. Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr will do well to take a look at Imoh Fred Friday. As a big powerful striker he reminds me a lot of Emenike and may just be the threat up front that super eagles need. See below video for some of his goals.

most focused senate President since 1999 |
http://wizz-poll.com/news/the-herald-senate-to-commence-review-of-2017-budget-in-october-saraki/ Senate to commence review of 2017 Budget implementation by October - Saraki The President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, has said that the Senate would commence review of the 2017 Budget implementation by first week of October. He made this known in his speech at the resumption of plenary from the 2017 annual recess of the National Assembly on Tuesday. Saraki said the move was necessary to know how the budget had affected the lives of Nigerians in terms of infrastructure development and other areas of life. According to him, the senate will expect the Ministers of Finance and Budget Planning to brief it on the level of implementation of the budget. “Nigerians want to see a more significant improvement in the level of implementation of the budget this financial year, ‘’he said. He called on standing committees of the Senate to begin the process of putting together their oversight plans for a close and proper review of the performance of the 2017 Budget. “ In the same token, we must remind ourselves of the initiative we started and for which we have significant stride, that is, the Made-in-Nigeria initiative. “Distinguished colleagues, it is time to enter the next stage of this initiative; the oversight of implementation, to ensure that the policy yields expected gains. “I will like, therefore, to see the committees demonstrate readiness to engage government to ensure that at least, a significant portion of our annual budget is fully dedicated to local procurement. “All committees of the Senate must be involved in this and find better channels to engage our people and enable feed backs.’’ The president of the senate said for such efforts to be successful, there was a need for peace and political stability. He urged his colleagues and all Nigerians to continue to fight to keep Nigeria united and prosperous. Saraki said as a firm believer that economic security was one of best securities to offer Nigerians; its inadequacy often caused disaffection of the people toward government. According to him, with less hunger and with more gainfully engaged people, insecurity will be significantly reduced and the economy revamped. “Distinguished colleagues, a house divided against itself will not stand. More than ever before, we need to stand for the unity and indivisibility of our country. “We must condemn in the strongest possible terms, all forms of violence as a form of engagement. “The Constitution and laws have laid down tools and procedures for us to push through our interest as all democratic nations do. “Our nation is blessed with exceptionally talented and beautiful people, we are collectively strong and indomitable and it is time for all of us to stand up for our nation. “Our dream of a virile nation must keep us motivated and this dream is already at the horizon. “As leaders closest to our people, we must rededicate ourselves to the values we have institutionalised in this chamber. “In this chamber, we are first and foremost, Nigerians. Yes, we are Igbos, Yorubas, Hausas, Fulanis. Yes, we are Muslims, Christians and traditional worshipers.’’ Saraki further urged his colleagues to continue to ensure the unity of the country in their conversations and dealings. He also advised them to be their brother’s keepers, irrespective of region, stressing that many youths and families from the South and North needed lifting. On Constitution review, Saraki said as a continuous process, the National Assembly would meet with speakers of the various state Houses of Assembly with a view to moving forward with the process. He said the National Assembly would revisit and consider areas of the Constitution it believed would further strengthen the federation and ensure a more prosperous Nigeria. On efforts to pass legislations that will impact positively on the lives of Nigerians, Saraki said “in the last two sessions of our term, we devoted enormous time, working hard on critical legislations.” The Senate president expressed delight that ‘’some of these bills which have since become law have started yielding expected gains. “This is especially so with the Secure Transactions in Movable Assets Act with increased lending to private sector. We expect more to come. “Our ultimate aim is inclusive growth, full employment for our people and frameworks that enable our young people to run viable startups. “In this period, I expect us to conclude work on the National Transport Commission Bill, the National Road Funds Bill, the Petroleum Industry Fiscal Bill and Host Community Bill which are pending. “ It is my hope that we conclude work quickly on the Bank Lending Rate Reduction Initiative and the National Payment Systems Bill.’’ On fight against corruption, he said aside from bills that had been passed, it was important for lawmakers to sharpen their oversight tools to ensure that government remained accountable. He called on them to be above board in the discharge of their duties. According to him, the senate has successfully exposed numerous cases of corruption in various agencies and as a result saved government enormous amount of public resources. He said it was such contributions that Nigerians expected of the lawmakers and urged them to continue in that stride. “We must not make the mistake of resting on our oars. I say this to encourage you to keep up with the good works of exposing corruption as you have been doing so far. “For instance, Sen. Isah Misau has the courage to expose deep rooted institutional corruption. “You will be attacked, blackmailed and insulted, but unlike any former Senate before this, we will not bow or be intimidated. “Our focus on interventions critical to our national development will continue in this session. “We will be interacting with stakeholders with the aim of repositioning our education sector and the health sector, especially with the health insurance subsector as key primers of the economy. “The major direction will be to expand access to basic education and health, incentivise investment in these critical sectors and find lasting solutions to issues of strikes and interruption in these sectors.’’ Saraki said the revolutionary growth of innovative works and remarkable fits by Nigerians, both in the entertainment industry and software development cross the globe, was commendable. He called for reformation of the intellectual property regime, to enable Nigerians utilise their ability to fully harness and reap the fruits of their effort. According to Saraki, the move will ensure that people’s intellectual property meet present day digital realities and opportunities. He assured that the National Assembly would continue to contribute its quota to better the lot of the people by initiating and paying close attention to the country’s Intellectual Property (IP) rights frameworks. Saraki commiserated with Nigerians affected by the recent floods in some states of the country. He congratulated the D’Tigress for winning the African Basket Ball Championship, as well as the Super Eagles, on their journey to the world cup qualifiers. The president of the Senate, who acknowledged the return of President Muhammadu Buhari from his medical vacation in London, prayed God to continue to grant him full recovery. |
gives one Hypocritical speech at the UN and need four days to recover? and some fools are asking him to run in 2019? |
IPOB simply need to challenge their proscription all the way to the supreme court I am sure the supreme court will stand up for justice |
most people agree that Nigerians need to move on together but I guess the dispute is the terms and condition of that unity |
As Dr Bukola Saraki's patriotism comes into question because he did not bury his head in the sand while Igbos are slaughtered and tortured in their own homeland. I ask, what does it mean to be a patriotic Nigerian? share your views below but please keep your responses clean! http://wizz-poll.com/2017/09/19/did-saraki-avert-another-genocide-in-south-east/ |
http://wizz-poll.com/2017/09/17/nigeria-vs-biafra-the-battle-of-the-flags-and-its-sillyness/ Nigeria vs Biafra: The battle of the flags and its sillyness The latest statement by the Commissioner of Police in Abia State Mr Anthony Ogbizi that anyone caught with the Biafra flag or emblem will be arrested and charged to court reflects more than anything the short sightedness with which the Nigerian authorities are confronting the Biafra question. The truth is that it is possible for a lot of Igbos to be both Biafrans and Nigerians at the same time. Go to countries like United Kingdom, a lot of people are both British and English, some are British and Scottish, and some others are both Welsh or Irish and yet British. Go to advanced countries like United States, the flag of confederacy still fly over State Government buildings. In Spain people identify as both Spanish and Catalonians or Basque separatist. In fact the Catalonians even have football teams where the likes of Carles Puyol have been seen playing for both Catalonians and Spanish at various times. The truth is most countries recognise the balancing act involved in recognising the right of its citizens to self determination as guaranteed by United Nations charter while also upholding the right of the Nation to maintain its territorial integrity and sovereignty. This balancing act requires negotiation and nurturing peace. In great and stable countries like United States of America, politicians advocate the need to perfect their union. They recognise that their union is not perfect and needs to be perfected. They recognise that you can not impose peace on any populace, you work through it. They never use terms like the Unity of our country is non-negotiable. In fact Britain for all of its history recently conducted a referendum for the people of Scotland and guess what? The Scottish chose to remain British!. Yes Biafra resonates with a lot of Igbos but it is nonetheless not clear if majority of Igbos will rather choose to secede from Nigeria if it ever comes to a referendum. But before even a referendum, Nigeria should explore restructuring in real terms and give the 20year olds flying the flag of Biafra the opportunity to be both proud Biafrans and proud Nigerians. These two identities do not have to be mutually exclusive, the options available to us do not have to be binary. The lovers of true peace should work for an arrangement where people can be both Biafrans and Nigerians; Oduduwa and Nigerians, Arewa and Nigerians. Flying the flag of Biafra should not be criminalised for the sake of it. This moment calls for strategic engagement of all Nigerians and not short sighted belligerence! http://wizz-poll.com/2017/09/17/nigeria-vs-biafra-the-battle-of-the-flags-and-its-sillyness/

That's a quick decision by the Supreme Court! Nigeria needs to get serious. See how quckly Kenyan Supreme court got to a decision! |

right to protest if guaranteed in the constitution http://wizz-poll.com/2017/08/17/nigerian-police-and-the-selective-application-of-the-law/ |
Nigerian Police and the selective application of the law on Protest In his article on February 10, 2017; Senior Advocate of Nigeria Femi Falana explained the rights of Nigerians to protest against Government and to do so without needing prior permission and that the only involvement of the police in such protest should be restricted to providing security to the protesters. What appears to have happened within the last 2 months is a selective application of the Nigerian constitution by the Nigerian Police. As widely reported, when Resume and Resign started the protest of the continued absence of President Buhari. They were met with a high handed clampdown, however later when Arewa youths also gathered in Abuja to protest against Nnamdi Kanu the same Police led the Arewa youths in an orderly fashion through Shehu Shagari way as they made their views known. Later when Resume or Resign came back to carry on with their protest, there seemed to be a change of tactics; a bunch of hoodlums were deployed to attack the “Resume or Resign group” while the police stood by and watched. Going away from Abuja to Anambra; there are reports that police allegedly used guns on IPOB protesters in Ekwulobia, there is no known State of Emergency in Anambra and the rights of IPOB members to protest are also guaranteed under the law. Looking at the 4 scenarios above, it appears the police are choosing to apply different rules depending on the political persuasion of the protesters. Section 39, 40 and 41 guarantees the right of all Nigerians to assemble freely and express their political views through protest and civil disobedience under the protection of the Nigerian Police. In fact there are even details of High Court and Appeal courts precedence which Mr Falana referred to that supports the rights of Nigerians under the aforementioned sections of the constitution. The Inspection General of Police must appreciate that while it is true that he reports to the President, he and his force also have a duty under law to protect the rights of all Nigerians regardless of their political leanings. See below link for full details of Femi Falana’s take on the right of Nigerians to protest against Government http://wizz-poll.com/2017/08/17/nigerian-police-and-the-selective-application-of-the-law/ |

Fred Friday is certainly a player on my radar too... We certainly got some fine options going forward. The Super Eagles Attack can certainly be better than it is now.... Good job. *applause*
