It's not necessarily about demons in their personal lives.

Some people were introduced to hard drugs like cocaine by friends or curiosity to just have a taste. From that first taste, they got addicted and ruined their lives. Some of them were living a perfect life before becoming addicts.

Addiction can happen to any one regardless of how good or bad your life is.
