Why are all court cases suddenly against LP and PDP. I'd it that in addition to the reckless corruption that characterises the judiciary, they have now added shamelessness to it.

Posterity will be the judge. The Nigerian judiciary is nothing but a waged-slave of the highest bidder. Nigeria has finally become the corruption headquarters of the entire world.

So tasteless that immediately after the presidential tribunal hearing, the entire court hearing follow the posture of the winner at the top must be the beneficiary of all electoral court cases

dasparrow:
No place in this world is 'rosy' anymore especially since the global economic recession begun. You should know this since nothing goes on in any part of the world nowadays that does not get reported by news agencies and posted on the internet. Thanks to technology, news now travels at lightening speed and if you have access to the internet, news articles are out there for you to access.

Many diaspora Nigerians may not tell you the truth about life abroad because they want to foam big boy/big girl each time they land Nigeria. You know many of our people are too proud for their own good sometimes. The truth is, times are hard now. I recall back in the day when I will open the newspaper here in america and job vacancies were on several pages. You could start your job hunt like monday and by friday you already landed a job. The wages being offered by potential employers were competitive and there was job stability.

But then came 9-11 and the american economy began to take a nose dive. America went to war with Iraq and misled the world into believing Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. American companies became greedy and realized that they could make more money if they have their products manufactured in china and other Asian countries rather than in their home country of USA. So american jobs were shipped abroad en masse. Other employers began to lay off people in unprecedented measures while others slashed wages.

Many small businesses atleast in my city on the west coast began to fold up and the locals (citizens)over the years have become bitter and hostile towards each other and towards foreigners living in their country. The other day a friend of mine from New York called because she is looking to go back to work after taking a year off to have her baby. She lamented that the wages alot of employers are now offering is too little and I told her yes, that is the way it is now. You see many people here in america are now working 2 or more jobs just to make ends meet and I read online that more american college/University graduates postpone starting a family because they are buried in student loan debts. See the link to that world street journal news article here: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702304818404577350030559887086.html

Anyways, to cut a long story short, we abroad cope by God's Grace. Those in the medical field are still making a decent wage because their profession is in demand. However, with a competitive salary also comes alot of taxes to pay. Often times, you make the money but you don't see it. Uncle sam (nickname for the internal revenue service) still takes a huge chunk.

I still think that at the end of the day, with hard work and sheer determination and God on your side, you may still make it in life faster in Nigeria if you understand the system and how things work back home. However if mortgage debt, credit card debt, possible car loan debt, living paycheck to paycheck, enduring condescending and rascist remarks from westerners, working your fingers to the bone year round with only 2 weeks vacation for the whole year and not being able to take time off from work easily when the need arises is for you, then you are most welcome to join us here.
Nice one

Then why do we have government? Why do we elect leaders with trillions of naira allocation? Would everyone venture into business or freelance? Would everyone venture into IT or whataview? What are the responsibility of government to the masses according to our constitution

Security of lives and properties
Enabling environment
Jobs opportunity
Quality education
Good healthcare
Infrastructures
Power supply
Accountability et al

Are you blaming Nigerians for being poor and JOBLESS now? You mean our leaders are doing the right thing but na Nigerians lazy or refuse to work or learn? I don't understand some of you guys seriously. Some of you will come online be claiming business man, millionaires, investors bla bla bla. Please does that erase the fact that we top the ladder of poverty and unemployment in Nigeria? Does that erase the fact that your neighbour probably do not have food to eat? Does that erase the fact that there are unemployed graduates in at least 2 of every 3 households? Does that erase the fact that an average Nigerians cannot afford a bag of rice now? Does that erase the fact that an average Nigerians cannot afford those exorbitant tuition fees now? Does that erase the fact that an average Nigerians are angry?

Seriously i don't understand. Or you're just after yourself. Provided i am rich or comfortable then i careless about others. Just like what your politicians are doing. Or you think your leaders care for the masses?
Yes. It's the responsibility of.government to put things in lace, but when we have Satanists in power, won't we learn to hunt ourselves ?

why do we top the ladder of poverty and unemployment in the world? Is it lack of game plan according to you or what? Your corrupt leaders top the highest paid political office holders in the world while the masses are poor. Are the masses responsible for their poverty or corruption and bad government policy? Why would an average Nigerian be poor to the extent that they cannot afford 3 square meal daily? Isn't that weird to you? Why would our minimum wage be 30k while some states government are yet to even implement it sef? What can that paltry sum do to a single person not to talk of a. Family? How can a graduate be earning such miserable amount of money? We have leaders who could hardly string two or more words together to make a sentence. We have them in the red and green chambers. What policies would those kinda people made for an average Nigerians? It is not about ear say. We have lots of poverty in this country. I live in the western part of the country. I wonder how the northern region will look like. Poverty is now a norms in Nigeria

I laugh at you guys comparing Nigeria to America or any other developed countries. It's like comparing first-class graduate to third class. Shoe get size sir
My father prepared me never to look for work unless it's high governmental research opportunities which ofcourse must be freelance.

Nigeria top the ladder of unemployment and even poverty in the world. Na only person wey spend decades for obodoyinbo without making it na him una dey see. Have you not seen those who make furtunes abroad? At least an average Americans are miles ahead and far better than an average Nigerians that cannot even afford 3 square meal.

If you think a poor man child in today Nigeria can make it without involving in crime or fraudulent acts then you're decieving yourself sir. That was in the past. Where son of nobody can become somebody in Nigeria. Not anymore. Millions of graduate are unemployed roaming the streets daily. Many households can't afford 4 square meal daily that i know not ear say. Most average Nigerians cannot afford those 200k and above tuition fee with 30k as minimum wage and high unemployment rate. Even those that are working are still suffering. Their take home hardly take them home due to hyperinflation.

No sane Nigeria will have the opportunity to US and will not make it. It is never possible. With any legit job. I mean any legit jobs you go make am. Only those who involved in crime to make fast money are foolish. Leaving Nigeria to US is a goodbye to poverty to an average Nigerians
I've had opportunity to travel abroad did t take it. All my mates in my generation I know of are all abroad. But I work legitimately here and building. You can succeed anywhere. You only need a game plan
