DR. Sid reveals how he almost died of a mild stroke due to frustration – gets motivational Mavin Records artiste, Dr. Sid has revealed an aspect of his life that so many never imagined could be a reality in the singer’s life. The singer revealed how his career got sunk to a point where he got so frustrated to a sickening dimension. He confessed that a mild stroke followed that frustration when it got out of hand, which almost cost him his life. He then dropped the submission that “the race is not for the swift, neither is the battle for the strong, or bread to men of understanding.” He also added that if Nigerian must get better, the change must start with the individual. In his words; “I have had a period of real difficulty. I have had a period of financial difficulty. I was making music, nothing was working. I wasn’t getting booked at shows. Of my own doing, I didn’t have passive income. I didn’t have anything outside of music. I had health issues; I had high blood pressure and a mild stroke last year. I almost died.” “At that point, you think to yourself ‘What’s going on?’ I’ve struggled. In struggling you understand that the only person responsible for the change is you. Same thing with Naija as a whole. The issue with this country starts with individuals.”

I once wished I wasn’t the daughter of Femi Otedola – DJ Cuppy reveals The female Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Cuppy who is blessed with a father like Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola, has however revealed that there was a point in her life when she wished she wasn’t the daughter of the famed billionaire. According to her, her status as a billionaire’s daughter made artistes hold her in contempt during her early days in the industry. She clarified that it was so because they thought she had an advantage over them. Taking online, she wrote; “I once wished I wasn’t the daughter of my father. But that was then. I’m now very comfortable in my own skin. When I first entered the industry, I felt like a lot of artistes wouldn’t accept me because I’m Femi Otedola’s daughter. I felt they wouldn’t feel comfortable with me, thinking I have an unfair advantage to enter their space and dominate it all.” “But now, I feel like I have paid my dues over the last few years and I have built some great relationships in the industry and people are starting to really respect me because I have built a good reputation for myself. So now I’m happy to say who my dad is. I can’t really change who my dad is and I’m embracing it and seeing it as a blessing now.”

The audience goes gaga over 2Face Idibia’s freestyle on sex (18+) Nigerian music legend, 2Face Idibia has unsettled the air with a video of him freestyling to a happy audience on s*x, a subject which caught the excitement of the audience. But then again, who wouldn’t, given the content of the freestyle? Be that as it may, listener discretion is advised, as the music legend did not take into consideration the multiple audiences that his song will get to. He gave free rein to vulgarity, speaking freely of sex in a language that not quite a lot of people will fancy. However, 2Baba is an entertainer and is bound to do those things at one point or the other. But as regards the audience he was originally freestyling to, they were very happy with all he uttered, as they laughed it out each time he uttered the “F” word. Freestyling on his early days hit, “You No Holy Pass,” he flowed thus; “Some people be acting like they know it all, when everybody know say prick dey rise and fall, some rise up again just to stand up tall, and harder and stronger, but no matter how hard you f*ck, you cannot f*ckdem all, you go only f*ck your test because you no go fit f*ck all, so if you want to f*ckmek you use condom, cuz you no f*ck pass my brother.”

Iyanya set to come out of oblivion with a new album after the EP release Sensational Nigerian entertainer, Iyanya, who had been relegated to the musical bench, is set to bounce back on the wings of a new album that is on the verge of hitting the airwaves soon after the release of his coming EP, “Rebirth.” Iyanya couldn’t have given the EP a better name. Indeed, what the singer needs at this point in his career is a “Rebirth.” Being fully aware of this, he decided to tow the path of Burna Boy by being prophetic in the naming of his EP. In case you hadn’t noticed, Burna Boy named his album “African Giant” and ended being an African Giant for real. Last week, Banky-W revealed how he prophetically named Wizkid’s first album “Superstar.” According to him, he named the album “Superstar” because that was the height he foresaw Wizkid mounting eventually in his music career. You will agree with me that Wizkid is nothing but a superstar in the order of no other African artiste, except Burna Boy. Iyanya is set to be the next beneficiary of such prophetic unction, as he’s done what Burna Boy and Banky-W did. His “Rebirth” Ep is hitting the airwaves soon, followed by an album. Do you think the prophetic will also work for him ![]()
