Naira Marley is the biggest Nigerian artiste” – rapper Ycee points out Nigerian rapper, Ycee has drawn wandering attention of certain music folks to the fact that the biggest Nigerian artiste at the moment is not Wizkid or Davido or even Burna Boy and others. He gave the crown to Naira Marley. Ycee made this declaration while pointing to yet another fact that this glaring truth is something many industry folks will want to acknowledge, as it is not a likable truth. I mean, who would want to put it out there that the infamous Naira Marley is more of a raving act than the likes of Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy who are considered top three. In Ycee’s opinion, Burna Boy’s globally received “African Giant” album and Davido’s highly celebrated “A Good Time” album haven’t done enough to stay ahead of Naira Marley in regards to trending on the airspace and enjoying a cult following. Marley has trended more than any other artiste this year; though for the wrong reasons. From Ycee’s point of view, that counts for everything in terms of keeping him at the forefront of the industry. His words; “hope say una know say Naira Marley na the biggest Naija artiste? But based on ‘industry,’ una go wan deny”.

Burna Boy’s “African Giant” vs. Davido’s “A Good Time” album: which one is doper Nigerian music followers decided to compare the two most trending Nigerian albums, “African Giant” by Burna Boy and “A Good Time” by Davido. As it turns out, Burna Boy’s “African Giant” beat Davido’s “A Good time” flawlessly. The height to which Burna Boy’s “African Giant” has gone is simply outstanding. But Davido sought to share that glory with Burna Boy by dishing out his highly hyped “A Good Time” which is actually a vibe. But in comparison with Burna Boy’s “African Giant,” it went nowhere, as 90% of Nigerian music followers rooted for Oluwa Burna’s album. Even Davido’s fans did what many have referred to as “calling a spade a spade.” In a particular poll that was conducted for rate both albums, “African Giant” got 3018 votes while “A Good Time” got only 218 votes. Indeed, the spotlight is really on Burna Boy at the moment and it appears Davido is only riding on past glory. However, we will be conducting our own polls here to see if those of us here are in agreement with voters on Twitter and other platforms who voted for “African Giant.” So, between Burna Boy and Davido’s album, which one is doper ![]()

Too late by Mr. P”: the real story behind P’Square breakup There have been many back and forth in the course of unraveling the real story behind the breakup of internationally known and talented twin brothers, Peter and Paul Okoye who together formed a music group known as ‘P’ Square. With their elder brother, Jude Okoye as their manager, the group became more like a family business, it’s affairs were so well conducted such that P’Square remained an ever-shining musical body in the industry. But their personal lives somehow came in-between and tore them asunder. This outcome has been mostly blamed on Mr. P. and his wife, Lola. But in his new video, “Too Late,” Mr. P portrays what could just be the real story behind their split. In the video, he tried to capture moments where his brothers, Jude and Paul would visit and Jude would outrightly disrespect Lola; however, without his (Mr. P) knowledge. Jude would further push him (Mr. P) into getting violent with his wife, Lola. However, during a visit to Jude’s house one of those days, Mr. P realized that Jude, who makes him fallout with Lola, is usually as his wife’s beck and call like a little bingo. That revelation triggered a revolt on Mr. P’s path, hence the split.
