I thought Yorubas are very educated and enlightened. What's all these rubbish? |
ImpregnaTor:Labour party will win Enugu and Abia. I don't know about Ebonyi. Labour party will also win plateau and crossrivers state. And maybe, Delta and Lagos |
Nonsense, so how come they can mate to bear non-sterile offsprings? Do you know what the definition of a "species" is? |
udemzyudex:exactly, he's juys being paranoid |
We are building structure for LP, sorry obaseki |
EPIJOE:who's stopping Yoruba people from migrating in numbers to Anambra, establish themselves there to an extent that they become poltically relevant? If they can, yes, a yoruba man can become governor of Anambra state. |
FreedomArmy:Nope, don't see it as a takeover. It's not a takeover. An Igbo man has ruled Lagos in the past, why didn't igbos takeover? |
FreedomArmy:So what's wrong with that? Is this not one Nigeria? Is Lagos not a cosmopolitan city? Are Yorubas not taking poltical positions in western countries? Whadafuck is wrong with you guys? I use to think that Yorubas are enlightened people but many of you reason like garbage |
Please note that this post is not generalizing because we have sane Yorubas who don't reason this way. The problems with many Yorubas is that they have this unfounded suspicion and psychologically paranoia that igbos will someday Takeover Lagos from them. The cause of this psychological issue is not far fetched: 1. Mainly because Igbos in Lagos aren't doing badly business and monetary wise. 2. Many Yorubas expect igbos to be subservient to them and always be within their whims and caprices. But igbos really don't care, we cannot sever you. We can only do our business, mind it, pay federal and state taxes, that's the only thing we owe Lagos state. 3. Again, we cannot worship Yorubas, Yorubas should not expect us to because you are not doing us any Favour. Igbos like every other tribes in Nigeria are playinf significant economic role in the development of Lagos and Lagos state is receiving huge revenue in tax with respect to that. Let's just give each other mura respect for peace to reign. 4. We are not taking Lagos, we are only doing business there. It's your land. Stop the inferiority complex. We can decide to vote for whoever we like, don't see it as a threat to your lives. We are not your servants. 5. We are minding our business, we are here to do business and make a living for ourselves and in turn pay tax to Lagos state government. We are not here to worship the Yorubas. We will never do that. The earlier you accept that igbos are never going to worship you, the better. The relationship between Lagos state and igbos is not parasitic but mutaulistic. We are contributing our quota to the development of Lagos state and we don't intend taking it away from you. Yorubas should stop beating the drum of war for myopic political reasons. Since you have been gaining politically, is the life of an average Yoruba man better than an Igbo man financially? No, it's because we igbos know how to go about getting money irrespective of the poltical challenge against us. We are tick people, we don't runaway from challenges, we face it head-on and we cannot runway from tribal bigoted Yorubas. Do let's come together and vote right instead of voting tribalistically. Thanks for reading. |
Nefort:I am from Abia state sir |
porthouse7:Shut up |
Nefort:So how come I understand? |
chrisxxx:lol, another theory |
Munamoqel:Ask your miserable father |
See how he's speaking pure Igbo |
What a man. Compassionate leader. We need a government that understands the pain of the common people and will be compassionate towards them. I cannot miss Peter Obi.

Alphonsus Eba, the Party Chairman disclosed the party’s decision on Monday in Calabar during an interactive session with the media. Mr Eba explained that the adoption of the LP candidate followed the Supreme Court judgment nullifying the candidacy of Regina Anyogo, who was hitherto the candidate of the APC. He said that endorsing Mrs Anyogo was in line with the political calculation and sportsmanship to support the LP in the state. He further explained that the alliance was to ensure that Labour Party supporters would reciprocate the gesture and vote for Bassey Otu, governorship candidate of the APC in the state on March 11. “As a party, we are adopting the candidate of the Labour Party, Brian Odey in the Yala 1 State Constituency election. “We are in this alliance because we want supporters of the Labour Party to also support the candidate of the APC in the governorship election,” he said. The APC chairman also called on the police to prosecute the more than 16 suspects arrested for allegedly causing violence during the Presidential/National Assembly election in Cross River North. He urged the police to go further by arresting their sponsors and prosecuting them accordingly. Mr Eba, however, alleged that the Presidential/National Assembly election held in the state was militarised, especially in Cross River North. He, therefore, called on the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Farouk Yahaya, to ensure soldiers from 82 Division, Enugu, were not deployed to militarise election in the state again. Responding, Mr Odey thanked the APC leadership in the state for endorsing him ahead of the polls. He assured that he would lead his supporters to vote for the APC governorship candidate. https://gazettengr.com/apc-adopts-labour-party-candidate-for-cross-river-assembly-election/ |
This same igbos voted massively for Obasanjo, Yaradua and Goodluck Jonathan. Throughout this period, Ojukwu, Orji Uzor Kalu and many prominent Igbo people were on the ballot. Yorubas have never voted massively for any Igbo person, so who is responsible for tribal poltics. I think it's thr Yorubas. Yorubas are not as enlightened as they are selling themselves. There's thus inherent hate for igbos in them. The evidence that Igbos have voted massively for other tribes many times, if they are voting for Peter Obi now then it means he's the most competent. Ltd tlak about competence and not the silly tirbla shit that many illiterate self-acclaimed tribal Yoruba sell. After, this election, I have concluded that majority of yorubas are pure fools because a tribalist is an foool by default. Let's talk about the issues and set tribe aside, but many Yorubas are too stupid to leave it. Vert bigoted people |
bryning899:you cannot know that for sure until to collate the real result |
