Be like all is working for the good of obedients |
What's your opinion? The federal might factor to manipulate many things has gone, what are Tinubu's chances now? |
Googledotcom:Supreme Court doesn't have the Jurisdiction to stop monetary policies. It's in the constitution but you an average African. An average African cannot read, if you want him not to see anything, put it inside a book. |
I am fully and 100% with Buhari on this |
The Naira Redesign and Daily Cash Withdrawal Limit policies, are policies of the Central Bank of Nigeria. Only the Federal High Court has jurisdiction in disputes arising from or related to Central Bank policies, and anything having to do with the Naira as the Legal Tender in Nigeria. Section 251(1)(d) Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 provides: “Notwithstanding anything to the contained in this Constitution and in addition to such other jurisdiction as may be conferred upon it by an Act of the National Assembly, the Federal High Court shall have and exercise jurisdiction to the exclusion of any other court in civil causes and matters — connected with or pertaining to banking, banks, other financial institutions, including any action between one bank and another, any action by or against the Central Bank of Nigeria arising from banking, foreign exchange, coinage, Legal Tender , bills of exchange, letters of credit, promissory notes and other fiscal measures…”. Thus, it is submitted that the proper court to have filed the case is the Federal High Court, and not the Supreme Court. Besides, it is submitted that, the proper party to sue is the CBN. |
I hate APC so much eh. What kind of campaign is this? |
Flier:this is a flimsy excuse |
vicdom:things have changed a lot. Particularly for me, I am voting across party lines. LP for president, APC for governor, PDP for senate |
3 things usually influence voting in the northern part of Nigeria. 1. Religion. 2. Ethnicity. 3. Competence. I am going to divided northern states into 4 categories for the purpose of this illustration: Category 1 This category includes states like Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Kebii, Jigawa, zamfara, Borno, Niger, Yobe and Bauchi. This category vote for Muslim candidates, historical data proves that. This category is usual anti-igbo candidate. Almost always often, someone from the north usually wins most of the states in this category as well. This category is not interested in the competence of candidates, their first and second reason to vote before anything is religion and tribe. Category 2 Adamawa, Plateau,Taraba, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Benue and kogi. This category tends to vote in opposite direction to category 1 whenever the election is very contentious. The have a considerable amount of Christian population who always deliver massive votes to a top Christian contender. This category to a certain extent considers the competence of a candidate than category 1. This category has a lot of anti-Fulani factor, hence the reason why they do not have the same voting pattern as category 1. Category 3 Gombe This category is somewhere in between category 1 and 2. However, it takes more attributes from category 1 but it's not totally category 1. This state give Christians votes historically. I don't know where those votes comes from but a part of Gombe is Anti-category 1. Data suggests so. Category 4 Kwara Whatever happens in southwest will influence this state. |
wegevv:leave Kano. Kano is a waste of time. It will be a waste of resources invest scarce resources in northwest except Kaduna. Those guys are to tribalistic and religious to convince. |
vicdom:it's because they rig the election and do overvoting which BVAS will detect now. Candidate popularity is the best bet for anyone now. No one is Going to conjure any figure for you, not even Wike can. APC cannot get 25% in edo and rivers. They will had this election been conducted in 2015 |
Southwest--Peter Obi |
Lol, delirium |
All APC states 🤣🤣 |
garfield1:lol, he didn't do the predictions. It's a poll conducted by southwest and that's the result. You are just finding it difficult to accept because it's not what you expect |
ORIAYO70:he locked for monetary policies? Illiterate |

The development adds another wrinkle to the country's lingering naira crisis. There was drama on Monday at the High Courts in Lagos State as lawyers and litigants could not file their court processes using the old naira notes for payment because the court officials rejected the notes, saying the banks no longer accept them as legal tender. The development adds another wrinkle to the country's lingering naira crisis. It was gathered that the account officers at the Lagos Island and Ikeja High Court registries insisted that new naira notes should be paid by lawyers and litigants, explaining that their attempts to deliver old naira notes collected from court users into the government account were denied by banks. According to an anonymous staff member, they were directed by their boss to stop collecting old notes because when they took old notes collected from court users to four different banks, namely FCMB, Polaris, UBA, and Fidelity, the old money was rejected. Henceforth, the court official noted that lawyers and litigants must come with only the new naira notes. One of the affected lawyers, who spoke to PUNCH over the phone but did not want his name printed, said the registry at the Osborne Division of the Lagos High Court rejected the old notes and prevented him from proceeding with his processes. He bemoaned the fact that the Supreme Court's order to keep the old naira notes in circulation was being disregarded. “Non-acceptance of old notes would be a catastrophe to the nation. The highest court in the land, Supreme Court, order is being flouted with impunity. It is obvious that the CBN, especially the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, is ready to impose a state of anarchy on Nigeria by directing banks against the order of the apex court.” The Supreme Court had on February 8, 2023, made an interim order, restraining the CBN from going ahead with the enforcement of its February 10, deadline for the use of the old naira note. A seven-member panel of the court, led by John Okoro, gave the order of interim injunction amid an acute scarcity of the newly redesigned N200, N500, and N1,000 currency notes. Last December, the CBN introduced the new notes amid efforts to fight corruption, terrorism, counterfeiting and related crimes. However, Nigerians have had difficulty getting the new notes amid scarcity and rising tension across the country. https://saharareporters.com/2023/02/14/courts-lagos-disobey-supreme-court-ruling-reject-old-naira-notes-processing-fees |
Lipscomb:the issue is not who will stake. How do you want to stake?. Most of you are just noisemakers with no money |
maasoap:We can exercise patience with CBN for a while and get the election right instead of allowing those crooks called governors ruin it. I support the policy because I know that everything is been done for our good and it will be over after election. It's you who needs to use his brain |
famouscargo4u:That's tax, it is legal. You cannot shut a bank down that is obeying CBN directive. Go and deal with CBN. Those governors are crooks who are trying to rig election with their stacked old notes. I support the policy |
famouscargo4u:they cannot. Banks operate on federal directives and not state |
maasoap:keep quiet, they are doing their best to secure their stacked cash to rig election |
XerXerz:onitsha? Lol |
He's wasting his time there. Even the Supreme Court governor will be sent parking next year |
I always laugh at those who think Obi don't have a chance in the north. Most of them think that north starts and ends in Kano and Sokoto. They are clowns. Obi will get a lot of votes in northeasr and might win northcentral. Northcentral usually do not agree with northwest. Adamawa and Taraba usually vote like northcentral. If Obi doesn't have the chance of getting northern votes, I would have not been rooting for him. I know what I am seeing. |
Looks more realistic to me, except that Peter Obi will snatch 25% in all SW states to get the required 2/3. TINUBU cannot get 25% in Crossriver and Bayelsa state. He will Manage to get 25% in just 20 states |
Hmm |
He's looking to get you tesla, so you can be happy forever. Stupid girl, I no known why naija babes no get single value again. Na only to collect. Na why we dey Bleep them like dogs |
DeepSight:do you want to create another one that will suit your own opinion? Since you cannot provide evidence
