Cadets use NDA?

No, same Air Force base kaduna. Only regular cadets, army ssc cadets, efcc cadets use nda, and I think some ndlea, not sure about those ones.

Its BMTC and they are reporting for training by month's end for about 6 months in Kaduna. With this, we can't say when dssc is going to be released. I think they are using the same facility.

Not the same facility. Trainees can’t use cadet facility. Same location, different facilities

Hello house please I need ur help on this.
I really want to apply for this but I'm older by 2years can I swore affidavit to do correction of age bearing in mind that my WAEC and NYSC certificates has my original age. Thanks guys as I await ur prompt response.

No one will recon with 2 months old age declaration especially when your waec says something else. Try your best though but army DSSC enlists your age.

Officers,

Is there any way one can get his certificate from his former institution of learning during this period because schools are yet to open or is notification of result allowed during screening?

Your response will be highly appreciated.

That suffices

haha, no man, to be honest I wasn't doing rigorous exercises before going for the training, so the stress on the muscles caused this issue, as I have said before start training from this very moment, if you have Weight try to reduce your weight drastically before going there ,work on your legs, you'll need that stamina, let me not say too much

You probably weren’t taking enough water too. Has similar experience during course 25 training so far that kidneys shut down and weren’t producing urine for a couple of days.

Training is not play oo. Be sure before you apply

Good evening house. Please, must someone get a guarantor from a high rank military officer before he can be invited for the test and training?
I have applied twice now( 2 years) and I have not been contacted for a test even for once.

You’re either not filling the form well or your course of study wasn’t advertised or relevant at the time or some other things. Could be one of many issues

Hey guys good morning! Please I’m in a dilemma here o! As I was filling my details online, I got to where I would put my NIN(I didn’t know we would be needing this). Now, the issue is that there’s an error in my date of birth on my NIN. I was born in 1993 buh NIN shows 1990. Tried several times to correct but unable to yet. However my international passport, WAEC and date of birth certificate shows my correct age. Would this affect me? I think I wouldn’t be shortlisted and this kinda painful!

Just fill in the number and hope for the best. Your date of birth is usually confirmed with WAEC not NI

Yes! But if you don’t know how to it’s not a criteria to get in, you’d be taught at onne. My advice, learn before you go.

Training is 30weeks by standard, even in the Royal Navy; 7 months and 2 weeks.

If Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Ojoo would be used for the selection board then screening would hold during the holiday of the students so that their facilities can be vacant for use by the candidates. So it happens during the Christmas break. Although DSSC24 happened during Easter, but with the new schedule of the Navy so that cadets pass out by October, the screening happens in December. The list should be out anytime from now. Pray, God can cause a shift for you in this last minute. But if you’re not shortlisted, it’s not the end. You can either reapply or chase after big opportunities. All the best

Are we to come along with the photocopy of our NYSC certificate or the original please?

To be honest, all you need is a print out of your application forms to show at the gate that you registered and you’re there for exam. Mainly for security reasons. If your name isn’t on the list and you don’t have a text message from the NN then you can’t have an OMR sheet. So what you really need is to have an OMR sheet with them. However if you were shortlisted and your OMR was omitted, a blank one will be provided and it won’t be an issue when result is being compiled.

Good morning everyone, pls i have a question for those with experience on the aptitude test. My name was shortlisted but I don’t have my Nysc discharge certificate yet, due to some issues which have already been resolved and i will be given on the 2nd of December. I have proof of my final clearance with me showing the date of collection of the certificate and my call up later showing i am through with the service year. Will i be allowed to sit for the exams? Thank you

You will, no one has time to screen that for thousands of people who want to write 1 hour exam. Just have it ready for selection board should you be shortlisted for that.

Please people,
I am a 1.63m female applicant and the height requirement is 1.65m. How strict is the Nigerian Navy on this?
As for having a member certificate from your professional body, I'm an Architect and it's almost impossible to procure this before age 28. What do I do?
The Acknowledgement Form and Parent/Guardian Form, how do I secure/do these?
I just went through a list of the successful candidates, and it would seem that females are scarcely consisered. Please apart from the obvious reason of strength, why does it appear so?

These answers may have been given already but forgive me if I haven't been able to go through a thread of 245 pages.

Don’t trouble too much about the height. 2 inches won’t get you disqualified.

If you have your GNIA certificate, that can suffice plus it’s just an added advantage.

There’s a percentage of female candidates enlist-ableism I think it’s less than 20% of the total enlist number. Same for the NDA. Has to do with the general nature of the gender in service all over the world. Just do your best to be one of the ones considered and keep praying.

My oga, my question goes thus,

I have B.tech computer Engineering which is specified under information and communication technology even though I have knowledge on Web design, programming but not 100% with no certification in these courses. But I'm registered with NSE ( Nigerian Society of Engineers) but my course isn't listed under engineering. Though I'm defending my M. Eng in Elect/elect soon but might not meet up with the closing date.

So should I apply under the info tech or engineering taking into consideration points stated above?

The first consideration for you enlistment is your qualification at bachelors level, not experience or masters degree, your M. Eng might just determine that they’d ask you advance questions at your vocational test. Apply under Info Tech where your course is listed.

Hello everyone. I want to ask a question. It might seem not relevant now but I guess it is very important coz it will keep everyone notified.

1. Biko who knows how much they pay during the training ?(if there will be no payment, make I carry my own money go if accepted)
2. Are there any extra payment/allowances or benefits when going home after the training ?
3. Who knows the actual allowances a navy officer receives during their service ?

Thanks . I hope someone could explain and give me answers

The challenge is that, there's a presumption that my course is quite irrelevant in Navy, and I now want to ascertain it's veracity before applying.

I was told that they rarely accept those with b.ed English.
You know, some courses like: engineering, medical, sciences are at advantage.

Please bro, tell me what you know exactly about it.

The competition is not your qualifications it’s how good you are and how well you can beat your village people. No course is at advantage if they can’t show for it. The only thing is department, they’d select particular number as per department and that’s Education as a department not English as a course.

NN NA NAF enlist officers based on qualification and not experience that’s why you’d never see work experience be part of the requirements. Apply based on qualifications. Like I said earlier, if you don’t see your course under any department, go with Seaman.

Morning Sirs,

please I have a question.

I applied for DSSC under Information Department (Television Production) but my degrees are in B.A Linguistics and PGD Computer Science.

I applied for Television Production because I currently work in a Television Station as an Editor. (note that the navy instruction was B.A in Television Production which I don't have but I have experience and In depth knowledge of Television Production because I currently work there).

Now my question is what are my chances, I was planning to reapply under ICT department ( because the requirement states Degree in Computer Science which I have). or I should place a call to the numbers on the registration information.

NOTE: I applied last year under Television Production too and I was shortlisted and wrote the exam but I didnt make it to the Board Interview stage so I don't really know if I will be considered based on my experience and not the qualifications (though both qualifications are still somehow related)

So, should i leave it or i Should reapply under ICT department.

Over to you my Ogas.

Good evening sir
My elder brother registered me under the wrong department biochemistry education and I don’t have a pgd cert

Can I reapply under a new email without it being void?

But why’s your brother registering for you naw? To be offsa no be moi moi oo and it starts now, not when you get to NNC. Do your things yourself and be sharp about it, that’s the standard.

1. If you register twice with same info, you could be disqualified, although it might be skipped if you’re lucky. There are times one candidate is shortlisted twice or more times for apt test on the list.

2. If you keep it and go with it, you will be disqualified for falsified credentials should you advance to selection board.

3. I’d advice you register again and hope to God it is skipped. Perhaps choose a different exam center so you don’t collect the OMR for the wrong application number
