⚡US B-52 Stratofortress crews from the 23rd Expeditionary Bomb Squadron and 49th Test and Evaluation Squadron participated in hypersonic weapon familiarization training at Anderson Air Base, Guam, Feb. 27. The participating crews received expert academics and training on hypersonic fundamentals and participated in tactical discussion on hypersonic operations to increase operational readiness and prepare multiple Air Force aircraft communities for hypersonics including the Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile, Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon, and other programs under development. The crews focused on the fundamentals of hypersonics, operational and logistics considerations, and in-depth tactical discussions. The Department of Defense is developing hypersonic science and technology to ensure the U.S. can rapidly field operational hypersonic systems. 1 Like

⚡The Russian army is advancing towards Chasov Yar in the direction of Bakhmut, according to Ilya Yevlash, spokesman for the Vostok Group of Forces. Fighting is already underway in the villages of Ivanovskoye and Bogdanovka. The Russian Federation is calling in reserves, using aircraft, drones and artillery. ⚡Meet Russia's new amphibious vehicle: The Triton. Testing of the Triton, Russia's newest amphibious vehicle designed to overcome water obstacles and gain a foothold in special operations zones, is scheduled from May to July 2024, according to Konstantin Bagdasarov, the general director of Argo LLC, the company responsible for developing the vehicle. Explaining the vehicle's capabilities, Bagdasarov stated: ▪️The Triton is designed to function even after "jumping" into the water from a cliff due to its compact size and unique engine design. ▪️The vehicle can carry 1.5 tons on water and one ton on land. ▪️In an actual river crossing scenario, 50 Triton vehicles with five soldiers each could be transported, supported by artillery and aviation. ▪️Bagdasarov emphasized the Triton's efficiency, noting that its top price of 2.9 million rubles (about $31,800) allows for the purchase of at least 10 Tritons for the cost of a single armored personnel carrier. 6 Likes 1 Share

⚡ Iran announced on Thursday the launch of a remote sensing and imaging satellite into orbit from Russia, according to state media. The launch of “Pars-I” with the Russian Soyuz-2.1b launcher was broadcast live by state television in Iran. The satellite was launched “from Russia’s Vostochny launch base”, some 8,000 kilometres (5,000 miles) east of Moscow, according to the official IRNA news agency.
