https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=af0bBnsXTCU The PSG superstar arrived at the Estádio da Luz carrying a large speaker and showcased some of his dance moves on his way into the dressing room. For those who have been watching PSG in the Champions League this season, Neymar carrying a speaker isn’t new. Against Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16, we saw the Brazil international with a much smaller speaker dancing in front of the Dortmund squad. https://psgtalk.com/2020/08/video-neymar-strolls-into-the-champions-league-final-with-his-own-speaker/

Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen who recently signed for Italian Serie A side Napoli, has taken to his twitter page to blast Punch Newspaper for fabricating a false story about him. Victor Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille last month for a record fee of €70 million which could potentially rise to €80 million. Following a false story by Punch Newspaper about him with the headline which read, "I want to emulate Maradona at Napoli", Victor Osimhen has now come out to debunk such news stating that he has not granted any interview since his father died in May 2020 and such stories were false. He warned Punch Newspaper against fabricating fake stories. Part of the post which was shared by Victor Osimhen on his twitter page read, "I never said such a thing, y’all copy paste journalist just like to fabricate lies, since the passing of my late father I haven’t grant any interview whatsoever, stop this nonsense else na thunder go fire una." https://twitter.com/victorosimhen9/status/1292465238059737088?s=20

The attack began Sunday when an ISIS militant drove a van filled with explosives up to the prison gates and detonated it, before gunmen opened fire. Attackers then streamed into the jail through the breach, shooting dead civilians, guards and rival militants including Al Qaeda prisoners as they opened the cells. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2020/08/03/14/31510272-8588171-image-a-69_1596462648806.jpg https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2020/08/03/14/31510270-8588171-image-a-70_1596462652538.jpg Around 1,350 of the jail's 1,800 inmates - including many ISIS fighters - are thought to have escaped, with more than 300 still missing. 400 stayed in the prison. Gunmen then bedded down in the prison and surrounding buildings, fighting running gun battles with security forces who tried to retake it. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2020/08/03/14/31509678-8588171-image-a-59_1596462180510.jpg https://static01-nyt-com.cdn.ampproject.org/i/s/static01.nyt.com/images/2020/08/03/world/03afghan-prison-1/merlin_175234137_b40b0e94-cced-4c94-a215-e28b9668c33f-mobileMasterAt3x.jpg Defense Ministry spokesman Fawad Aman said the prison was taken back in the afternoon on Monday. The fighting also left at least 50 wounded. At least eight militants were also killed during the fighting. Even as Afghan troops seized the prison in Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar province, some 70 miles east of Kabul, ISIS fighters continued to fire on them from a nearby neighborhood. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2020/08/03/14/31509682-8588171-image-a-62_1596462200900.jpg Sporadic gunfire rang out from nearby residential buildings in central Jalalabad, an area of high security near the provincial governor's office. As security forces swept through the prison, they found the bodies of two Taliban prisoners apparently killed by the Islamic State group. The ISIS affiliate in Afghanistan, known as IS in Khorasan province and headquartered in Nangarhar province, later claimed responsibility for the attack. The attack came a day after authorities said Afghan special forces killed a senior Islamic State commander near Jalalabad. Several hundred prisoners in Jalalabad are believed to be ISIS members. Following the collapse of its so-called Caliphate, ISIS has transitioned into a guerrilla fighting force waging wars in the Middle East and Africa. https://static01-nyt-com.cdn.ampproject.org/i/s/static01.nyt.com/images/2020/08/03/world/03afghan-prison-1sub/merlin_175255419_b3fc9a7c-92e3-4b25-aedd-ff6d9e2f6368-mobileMasterAt3x.jpg In Afghanistan, the terror group is at war with US, Afghan and Taliban forces - which are currently trying to strike a peace deal. The US struck a deal with the Taliban in February. A second, crucial round of negotiations between the Taliban and the leadership in Kabul has yet to start. The Taliban's political spokesman, Suhail Shaheen, told The Associated Press that his group was not involved in the Jalalabad attack. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2020/08/03/14/31510276-8588171-image-a-71_1596462657221.jpg https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2020/08/03/14/31510278-8588171-image-a-72_1596462660240.jpg The Taliban had declared a three-day cease-fire starting last Friday for the major Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha. The cease-fire expired at 12 a.m. Monday. "We have a cease-fire and are not involved in any of these attacks anywhere in the country," Shaheen said. The Taliban also had denied being involved in a suicide bombing in eastern Logar province late Thursday that killed at least nine people and wounded 40. Some detainees who fled the prison after the militant attack were captured later by security officials on Monday. https://static01-nyt-com.cdn.ampproject.org/i/s/static01.nyt.com/images/2020/08/03/world/03afghan-prison-3sub/merlin_175255440_c1ed741f-a892-4883-83f2-e2d9c06a403b-mobileMasterAt3x.jpg Afghanistan has seen a recent spike in violence, with most attacks claimed by the local IS affiliate. We often hear about the biggest animals that would easily tower over humans twice, thrice, and some even ten times. But how big, exactly, are they? Let’s take the blue whale, which is known as one of the largest animals ever to exist. Imagine: the largest ever measured 110 feet long. If that doesn’t ring a bell just yet, think of it as longer than 2 packed school buses that seat 40 people each. It’s also longer than 18 grown men of 6 feet laid head to toe with each other. If your head is spinning, right down below is a collection of animal photos that put their size into perspective and do the "just imagine" part for us. From very large Maine coons to gigantic Siberian tigers, these are the big boys and girls of the animal kingdom. https://www.boredpanda.com/animal-size-comparison/ 1. The English Premier League has just ended after the 20 teams completed their 38 matches of the season. Liverpool won the title after an outstanding season with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea ending the season in second, third and fourth place respectively. However, what is actually trending right now on social media isn't who won the title or the positions each team finished, but about a man who lost a whopping £670 (₦332,000) in a bet. According to reports, the man placed a £10 bet on Manchester United's English attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard not to score or assist a goal for the entirety of the 2019/2020 season. The man would have been jubilating by now as Lingard had gone the entire Premier League season without scoring a single goal nor rendering a single assist until the last game of the season. Manchester United had gone up against Leicester city in the 71st minutes through a penalty taken by Bruno Fernandes, Lingard was brought on in the 77th minutes as a 2nd half substitute and he scored with the last kick of the game in 97th minute of the encounter after a horrible mistake by Leicester goalkeeper. This however means that, the man who placed the bet lost ₦332,000 with just few seconds to the end of the match. https://www.givemesport.com/1583681-fan-has-bet-on-jesse-lingard-failing-to-score-or-assist-in-the-entire-premier-league-season Cc Lalasticlala Mynd44 Seun

Chelsea's new signing Timo Werner suffers from an ear condition that could impact his spell in the Premier League. It was confirmed on Thursday that Frank Lampard's side have completed a deal to sign Werner from RB Leipzig for a fee of £47.5 million, a transfer that has been widely approved by fans and pundits alike - and for good reason. The German striker has been in terrific form this season, scoring 25 goals in 29 Bundesliga games, as well as four times in eight Champions League outings. Werner will no doubt strengthen Chelsea's current line-up but the noise of Premier League crowds may disrupt his matchday experience. In the past, Werner has struggled with hostile atmospheres. Back in 2017, when RB Leipzig took on Besiktas in the Champions League, the German striker was substituted because of the intense noise created by home fans inside the Vodafone Park stadium. Despite asking for ear plugs shortly after kick-off to try and stop the effects, Werner suffered from 'circulatory problems and dizziness' and was replaced after just 31 minutes. As you can see in the clip below, Werner can be seen holding his hands to his ears as he struggles with the conditions. After the match, Ralph Hasenhuttl, who was manager of RB Leipzig at the time, said Werner struggled during his short time on the pitch. "He asked to come off so I took him off," he said. "It is impossible to prepare your team for an atmosphere like this. There was a deafening noise [and] at the start of the game we were a bit affected. "For me, as coach, it is important to see who I can rely on in moments like these, who is prepared to defend himself against what is going on on the pitch. To encounter such an atmosphere was too much for some." Werner himself confirmed the situation to Turkish reporters after the full-time whistle. "I have never seen such an atmosphere in my life," he said. "I could not focus on the match. I asked for a headset, and it did not help either. I still do not feel well." Whether he will be able cope with the noise of Premier League crowds is obviously unclear, but Werner is certainly going to experience some intense atmospheres in the coming months. https://www.sportbible.com/football/reactions-news-timo-werners-ear-condition-could-cause-him-problems-in-premier-league-20200618 Timo Werner Substituted Against Besiktas Due To Crowd Noise

Mainz 05 have released an official statement to express their pleasure after a fan cancelled his membership with the club, after he made racist statements. In a notice shared with the Bundesliga side, the aforementioned individual accused his club for using an excessive number of black players. Read the former member's notice published on the club's official website. "For several months now I have been unable to identify myself with this club (professional football)," "I've since gotten the impression that I'm at the Africa Cup, instead of the German Bundesliga. "I know what's coming, but no - I'm not racist in any way. I resent that. But, too much is enough. "But when the starting line-up for the past weeks has featured nine (!!!) Black players and German talents are being given fewer and fewer chances of their own, then this is no longer the club that has been near and dear to my heart over all these years." Mainz 05 savagely replies fan: " Not every cancelled membership is a cause for concern, sometimes we're relieved." The club described the argument as unacceptable and noted that, although they normally try to convince members against cancelling their memberships, in the current case they will not mourn his decision. "All that matters to us, is that someone is human and that they share in our values," Mainz declared. "Those are the kinds of people we welcome in our community. "In light of this, we welcome your cancellation as the reasons you've given clearly prove that you do not share those values that our club is based on." https://www.goal.com/en/news/mainz-hit-back-at-racist-fan-who-cancelled-membership-because-of-/d970ragd1boc1w67vzsimdcad
