Hello Everyone,
My husband has been in Vancouver for 14 months and unable to find a skilled job. He is a chartered accountant (CPA/CGA). He just completed his MBA last year December. Any help will be very useful. He is also a Project Manager and business analyst- certified

Also, I want to apply for a resident visa as the one we came in with has expired. Do we need to go for another medical examination?
If yes, where?

Thank you.

[quote author=madammamus post=43875552]I am due in July as well and traveling with my 2 year old daughter too...I haven't decided on hospital/state yet though...it definitely aint easy being preggy and travelling alone with a toddler but then if no other option, with resilience there is no mountain that is unsurmountable. I dont want to commit myself cos my delivery plans are still vague but if we were going to similar state/hospital, it would have been good to first connect in Naija so a bit of trust is established so we help each other over there in the US. But then my plans are still vague...oh well...

am due in july too travelling with my 2years old son. am yet to decided on the hospital... we can rub mind jor.

please call this no 410-427-2090. On their website, go to patients, then procedure estimate, accept the terms and click on Women/newborn/childbirth. you will find the estimates there. you can then proceed to find a doctor.
they have a Nigerian doctor by name Tolani Abdullahi, her office no is there you can contact her. Goodluck!
aye88:

@wumicipm. Do you have an idea of the cost. I've Googled the hospital and called the numbers I saw on their site but no response. Pls if you have an idea on the cost and a doctor to use, pls share

Intend birthing in Maryland (that's what hubby wants). Gotten intouch with an hospital there. Virginal birth for both doctor and hospital bill amount to 9k dollars. Pls anyone with info on any hospital in Maryland that is abit lesser than this. Yes I've been reading this thread sinceee. I think the only hospital that someone talked about in Maryland is PG hospital with an estimate of 6k. I remember @phema referring someone to some pages. Googled those hospitals and called and one was even giving me a quote of 25k dollars. Pls anyone with any info would be appreciated. Trying to explore more options b4 makin up my mind. Cheers

I got this hospital in Arizona and called them , dignity health, chandler regional medical center, Arizona.
you can goggle them too.
I just booked appointment with them: doctor fee, 1800, hospital, 3500, epidural 750. the lady told me she does not know the cost of pediatrician and circumcision. don't want to put any number here so they don't think i'm a marketer.
Phema: For those going to Phoenix; I tried calling other Hospitals in Phoenix and non has an all-inclusive maternity package like MIHS. They could only tell the hospital fees which is about $3k for almost all of them. You will have to get your own Dr, pay him/her, also pay for epidural, Paediatrician, Aneasthesiologist, laboratory test etc.

However, I got one hospital (Northwest Medical Centre) in Tucson, AZ which offers a maternity package plan (again, just hospital fees) for $1800 and $350 for epidural. Excludes Dr's fees, Paediatrician fees, lab tests etc

This is me, signing out on the searching game. Will just have to wait till I get MIHS new price to make a decision between MIHS and Doctores Para Ti.

Chei! I speak English tire today. From Naija accent to fake American one to even middle eastern one sef, sotey my credit finish. I load another one again, them finish am. I don try! angry

Good day wonderful mamas,

I have been a silent follower on this thread and I have benefitted a lot from it. I had my interview in Abuja with my hubby last week Wednesday and the interview went thus;

VO; G.mrng
WE; g.mrng
vo; can I take ur thumbprint
we; yes, we did our thumb print
vo; what are you travelling to do in the Us?
me; to have our baby and vacation
vo; do you have any doctor appointment?
me; yes, brought out doctors para tis appointment letter
vo; looked at it critically, and at this point, my hubby was busy bring out all the documents we had with us
vo; what is that?
hubby; email correspondence from doctores para ti
vo; may I see it please?
we; gave it to him
vo; do you have your bank statement with you?
we; yes, gave him 2 statements, current and savings
vo; used a magnifying/microscope to check the statement grin
vo; your visa has been approved, pick up your passport on Friday.
we; thank you
vo; congratulations!

NB; before going to the embassy, I used anointed oil, communion, blessed water and mantle cos my hubby was the principal applicant and he cant even pronounce el paso correctly not to talk of doctorespa rati. I just prayed to God to send angels that will blind the vo officers eyes from my hubby and not to ask any unnecessarily questions and he answered my prayes.

I have appointment for 25th of this month in Elpso, I also have appointment for 2nd of October in mhis but intend to go to mhis because of their package. my question is, can I go to phoenix even though I told them at the embassy that im going to elpaso? where is the best poe to phoenix and who is leaving for phoenix in 2 weeks? lets hook up abeg..

He his a man with VISION. sitting at home and feeding on his parents with a big jug of tea and bread everyday will take him no where.

my hubby is the group head of account and finance in his organization but the day he told me what he went through and what he did to get to where he his I was humbled and privileged to have married a man like him. I met a man recently writing ICAN exam, he his a lecturer and he told us that when he couldn't get a job after graduating, he had to learn mechanic and in the process met his helper. I am currently learning how to sow after bn laid off my banking job cos I cant just sit at home and eat my husband food and not contribute to the house

Encourage him!
