It was on a Christmas day in 1995, My dad just passed away in April and my Uncle (who is a mechanic/driver) was bent on giving us the most memorable xmas we ever had and he sure did. He came to our house with his car (a very old and patched-up car with parts of different car model parts) which he had since in the early 80’s. He packed us, I and my siblings (6 of us) in the car and we headed for Nicon Hilton Hotel (Now Transcorp Hilton) for sight seeing and kids stuff. On arriving at the gate, the gateman after taking a look at the car, told him to carefully turn back and leave cos they are fully booked whereas we saw other cars being allowed to enter.

[s]We were turned back at hilton gate cos of the look of our car and the way we were packed in the car like sardine[/s]
It was so embarassing and nobody talked about it for a long time.

Reason? Is it something to be proud of?  There is no advantage whatsover so dont even start.
