StivoH2022:Nowadays I don’t even have the energy to mock our neighbors. When was the last time you so a major construction happening in Kenya? He has borrowed more money in his 21months reign than Uhuru did in his 10yrs reign yet we can’t see what the money is doing. During my time at the University of Nairobi I used to pay 16,000($123) yearly fee with another 6,000($46) accommodation fee. Today students are paying around 480,000($3,692) academy fee and 32,000($246) accommodation fee. Why hike the fee? |
GeneralDae:He hasn’t stabilized anything. When he came to power he found dollar trading at 120, he pushed it up then reduced it back to 130. Do you know how the shift happened? When he got power major foreign investors were afraid of him and withdrew their money from NSE, this lead to increase demand of dolllars hence an increase from 120 in August 2022 to 160 2024. When he saw that he could not get touch of the escaping exchange rate, he turned to IMF, World bank and other international loans to inject dollars into the economy. Through these loans and donations at least shillings have stabilized. On matters inflation. He is the guy who raised the prices of almost everything, when he got into power Super Petrol was retailing at 144, he pushed it to 213 per liter even though the global prices kept on reducing. This prompted Uganda to stop relying on petroleum imported by Kenya but instead started to import their own petroleum. |
Hello to all Nairalanders. I’m back but not to actively participate in defending my dear country, but to cry and whip for my bleeding country. As you can all remember I used to actively engage here because I was confident I had supporting evidences behind me. I could proudly brag about infrastructure projects going on in Kenya because in reality they were there and many more were still being constructed by the Uhuru regime. Industries were coming up in every corner, big hospitals were being constructed. Investors were running to come and set up their businesses in Kenya. I was really proud of my country and I had a great hope of Kenya moving forward. At one point most Kenyans had a dream of Kenya moving to higher moving to higher middle income status before expected time, we even dreamed of surpassing Morocco GDP wise but guess what? It’s Kenya that has been surpassed by Ethiopia and Sudan. In terms of GDP Kenya has been relegated to position 8 in Africa and with this Government I foresee Tanzania passing Kenya before 2028. During election time Kenyans in Nairaland were divided into two; Pro Ruto and Anti Ruto. I was against Ruto’s Presidency cause they guy had no any leadership truck record around his waist, he isn’t development oriented and he surrounded himself with clowns. Unlucky for the Anti-Ruto team, he anyhow managed to win with a small margin. His victory wasn’t celebrated as hard as previous victors celebrated their victory. The country was in somber mood except for few sycophants who didn’t fear for future. Even those who voted for him did so because of they gave him benefit of doubt, they weren’t fully convinced by the person they elected. Others elected him not because of his manifesto or philosophies but because they really hated the other better candidate. The first red flag of his reign was the kind of people he appointed to head several ministries and parastatals. The appointees were so incompetent to a point the opposition party decided to approve the entire cabinet claiming that if they start to pin down the appointees 60% of them will fail to pass the approval. Now that’s the caliber of person we are calling the President. For me I usually know that when you become victor in a hotly contested election with another half of the country not voting, first thing to do is to earn trust of the 2/3 voting population that didn’t believe in you. How do you do this? Is by doing what’s right, appoint competent government (ministers, security organs etc). To be continued… |

2024 Wealth data is out and it's just the usual culprit are the ones making top 5. Top 10 at least there are some changes compared last year's report.

Just30:I don't have time to argue with you. |
Just30:So this is not a render?
|
Just30:When other people are posting actual buildings you on the other hand you are busy posting renders. Does those middle class stay in renders? |
Westlands is currently active with construction activities. On the left is Misty Springs, it will go upto 28 floors and on the right is Shangri-la Residency it will go for 25 floors.
|
Altura Tower Upperhill. To be topped at 30 floors.
|
1870 Twin Towers are now at 21st floors, 9 more floors to top out.
|
vaxx:You don't need to be an architect to see the difference between the render and the actual project. It could have been noble of you to just accept that you used a different render the way Vankelvin said. We are not in a competition here. |
vaxx:Render is completely different with what's coming up, why so? |

It's very funny that those who make noise here have never travelled anywhere outside Nigeria and Ghana. Third parties foreigners are saying Nairobi is better than any city in West Africa but guess who disagree with those statements, the untravelled villagers. |
