Interesting analysis and I like you take, but one thing is that this visit must have been in the works long before the Iran war started barely three weeks ago.
The British have been in on this war since the get, they had some of their airforce units in the area right after the US warships arrived. While the UK might have a much less military arsenal than the US, their Intelligence Unit is probably more robust than that of the US, anyways both countries work together including the US, and Israel as part of the 5 eyes intelligence sharing. This Iranian war started in June last year, these is all a follow up to the events that played out back then. Anyways you can check this visit was announced by the UK government, and you'll see that it all aligns with the timing.

Tough times ahead for Nigerians, whether you support the man or not, your support is purely transactional to Tinubu anyways. Like I said, tough times ahead for nigerians. God help us all.

for those who don't understand what is really happening, and why the UK royals and government are now frolicking with tinubu all of a sudden. The Answer is the war in Iran. Tinubu has been pleading for this type of visit since he became president and all he got was a finger before now. But the war in Iran has pushed nigeria high up the importance list. Obviously the brits are of a consensus that gulf countries and their ability to maintain their oil and gas supply will be in jeopardy for the long haul, so to cement their orders from nigeria, they quickly remembered tinubus long time request and here we are.

What this also means is that these people will not allow tinubu to lose the election next year, as they would prefer stability/continuity given the current circumstances. So any high hopes on fair election or euro intervention for fair election is down the drain. Other leaders of other world power nations will come knocking soon as well, to guarantee oil and gas supply, while they all work tirelessly in their countries to become fully independent from hydrocarbon energy sources.

What does this mean for the nigerian populace? More Suffering. Obviously Tinubu is very corrupt man, who's primary interest in governance is to steal as much resources as possible to build that eko atlantic city...nothing else. he has no desire or dreams to see this country succeed. He cannot genuinely fight the corruption that is crippling our military and paramilitary institutions because he himself is VERY VERY CORRUPT.

So expect the continued collapse of the nigerian state, and dehumanization of the nigerian people, and hopelessness in governance to remain. Kidnapping as an industry will keep booming, while religious fanatic terrorism will continue to progress and find in roads south of nigeria, poverty and desperation and abject hopelessness is what is driving the recruitment of young kids in the north, middle belt and now southwest, they honestly left with no option,

You can't help but feel sorry for every nigerian who " Nigeria is happening to", there is no hope in sight guys. God help us all!

how delusional do you have to be to keep coming up with this STUPIDITY of VAT conversation. These people are Really Good at Cherrypicking the information to suit their stupid narrative. If you want to talk about the Value Each Geopolitical zone contributes to the national coffers why are you not talking about Natural Resourceshuh Mumu people!!!

Last year Alone IMO State contributed over 140 Billion naira from Oil Sales to National Coffers and was given a Measly 13% percent of That, less than 16 Billion and these Ronu people have the effontry to call the SE parasites?? This is not Adding the oil money collected from Anambra, Abia oh. This also does not add the amount of Gas from from these states, As we are speaking there is a Tens of Billions of Dollars deal with Algeria, Niger, Nigeria And the EU to connect gas pipes directly to the south east to sell tens of billions of dollars worth of Gas to the EU and you dare call these same people who this country is stealing their resources and NOT giving them anything parasiteshuh.

Sorry but what is your GEO Zone contributing to Nigeria asides the fraudulent Vat from companies being forced to stay in Lagos because of the FG's tribalistic policies?
Irredeemable Bigots!...Time will come Oh! This enjoyment of stealing of people's natural resources, putting them down and kicking the same people while coming online to bragg and rub it in their face will not last forever. This never happened anywhere cool

This person that wrote this article is a tribal bigot.
This person is finding it difficult to mention igbo names, he was just calling few igbo names he could remember.

This MOD loves tribal war.
Seun try and scrutinize your modes before employing then.

Check the Igbo names he mentioned, non is correct
I actually looked up the link, the site appears too dodgy, and no pictures of arrest which is unlike indian police that loves taking pictures anytime they make such a large arrest of criminals. Also this particular news is not reported anywhere else on all the other crime reporting websites in india.

This makes me to believe that this could be the Tinubu/Apc machine doing their runnings again, so stir up as much tribal hate and inter-tribal finger pointing, especially knowing that a famous igbo man intends to contend. We saw a huge load of these kinds of fake news to the run up of the 2023 election. These people have no qualms destroying the country for their selfish political reasons.

Whenever you see any of these type of news try to click on the link to ascertain the authenticity of the news before bothering yourself to read it.

PoliticsWe Have Never Had It This Bad As Country, I Warned You All!! by Xbobtage(op): 11:48am On Sep 05, 2024
As someone who usually only comes to read and barely comment, I decided to participate heavily in the last election here, Pleading to your conscience, I was one of many posters, Begging you all to think about your Children Unborn and the dreams of your fathers and their fathers, and if tribal hatred was a reason to vote wrongly then remember your childhood friends from that the tribe that you think you hate, remember the doctors and nurses from that tribe who would give their all at any calling, the traffic police officers, soldiers, teachers and everyone who sacrifices for us to be able to go about our daily lives. The way the nigerian constitution is written, no tribe is greater than the other, no president is able to empower his tribe to greatness whilst other wallow, but a bad president can bring us all down.Look at us now, and its only but a year and 3 months in.

You were warned, a very dangerous man was about to corner the country and ascertain power that he has been plotting for over 30 years. A man whose greed knows no bounds. But the heart of some of us Black people, the heart of some of us Africans, and Nigerians is so twisted it needs to studied separately for answers. It couldnt have been clearer who to NOT vote for. Even though he manipulated the election results, it would have impossible for him to pull off that manipulation if he was massively embarrassed and rejected by all.

Look at us now, so hopeless, we are like the defenseless citizens in Narco States in Latin America, you can tell that we are dealing with a Cult like cartel. A Lion was finally given horns and a bazooka. We cant even demonstrate anymore partly for fear and partly for bigotry, so much wrong never before heard in the history of this country is happening, and we accept that we are losers and we deserve to die in silence and pride. This one single man amd his goons has cooked up tribal bigotry never before seen, he has nationalized every major part of Nigeria to literally himself, From PH Refinery, The entire AGIP Nigerian Operations, Lagos Ports, major Parts of NNPC Operations, Paying Subsidy to himself, The entire lagos economy, 13 Billion dollars for a road that serves no purpose (atleast 10 times overvalued and was awarded without the National Assembly's oversight) etc. He makes Abacha look like a saint.

Our collective patrimony, our self worth, The value of our humanity - all completely gone! Hundreds of thousands of Nigerians hold up at the shores of North africa, trying to get to europe, alot of these young men and women are literally enslaved in chains in Libya and this is only 1 year in. There is a video I saw of a woman from the SW who was enslaved in Libya, very well spoken and educated, imagine her life if she came from a place where the basics of life were guaranteed. The Irony of a never forseen future is now here, Nigerians now go to Niger, Chad to seek for fortunes. I am speaking to politicians who are in government that are completely shocked and shaken up by the brazenness of the Evil that is being done to Nigerians. The politicians who are stealing from us, take the money and relocate their families abroad.

The days of brave and selfless men in Nigeria are gone, once they know that you are brave and powerful they will buy your conscience with so much money and gold, your pride is forced to retire itself.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? WHO WILL FIGHT FOR THE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DEFENCELESS NIGERIANS? WHO WILL SPEAK FOR US?
I wish everything I was writing was all exaggeration, and things were slightly better off. I dont care what anyone says, you CANNOT remove Tinubu and his cartel gang from power, When he is done in eight years a hand picked successor like him will continue. The cycle of doom remains. We are all totally fxcked!

Okoroawusa:
Bro, how market? I am glad I didn't read your epistle then in February and I didn't read it now in April.

Ifele megbuo gi there!
You are a known tribal troll here on this website, its belittling for anyone for to respond to you, so this has to be one of my lowest moments. But I am responding as always with the intent to educate the general public.

First of all the exchange rate as I write is 1240, at the parrallel and 1300 at the Official. Anyone who is happy with these rates from 430 per dollar last june or 125 per dollar in 2014 has to have their heads checked.

Here is the reality of the situation. The dollar shot up after it crossed 1300 because the general public panicked. And in a couple of weeks it was at 1990. That was extreme fear, and anyone who has been a trader of stocks or any other public financial asset knows that - that kind of spike is unsustainable and would instantly correct. Because those who were smart enough to buy early and also sold the top started the correction, and that initial correction caused those who bought at the top to also panic and sell and this will send the naira tumbling down slightly below where the spike started from. So you are somewhere around the bottom or maybe at 1150 or there about. The same fear is also the reason why the parallel rate is lower than the official rate. Traders are trying to take advantage of panic sellers.

There is no change in policy by the government so this is just a healthy correction from that spike, has nothing to do with binance or whatever other lies you are being told. Traders are waiting for the panic sellers to stop selling so they can start buying. Corrupt politicians with stolen billions from the top to bottom are also going to be buying again once the indicators start pointing towards a movement upwards in the dollar price. If I were to guess I would say we would be back to 1500 around say august/september and and 1850 by christmas.

Once again the primary drive for this naira dollar crisis is unchecked extreme corruption, which is causing a loss of hope in market sentiments, loss of hope amongst the citizenry. which is why we have mass emigration crises, even rich nigerians are running away. Part of what drives this corruption is the unbalanced tribal equity we have as a nation. What we are practicing now as a nation is winner takes all, dog eat dog, survival of the fittest, so every elected or appointed politician understands that they cannot change anything they can only simply take their share and we all continue the sidon look we are currently doing.

Have a nice day!

I have been a Nairalander since the very beginning .I used to sell exotic cars on nairalist which had the craigslist feel and was disappointed when seun said he wanted to close the site down for a better portal that covers several aspects of the Nigerian society. So many years had come and gone since then, I only come to read the news on nairaland and usually never read the comments until 2019 after the second coming of Buhari. I couldnt believe a man who was grossly incapable of leadership was voted back with many people here on nairaland supporting him because of tribe and religion.

After the election I started leaving comments and dropping my two cents and correcting non factual statements of matters that I had a good knowledge of. Before the naira got to 700naira I had started leaving warnings here that 780 or there about was our final support and we would not stop capitulating if the right person and from the rightful region was not elected as a president.

For the first time since I've been on nairaland I started campaigning and getting actively involved in politics, because I was very sure that this time if we were to elect the wrong person we were doomed. Of all the candidates who presented themselves for election, the person with the most stellar resume was Peter obi primarily because he was a financially prudent Guy, and that is exactly what the country needed at the moment. Someone who's personality embodied prudency and right off the bat that would curtail the corruption and the stealing that was endemic in the Nigerian society. Once everybody noticed that we had a president who would dare not tolerate such behaviors, that alone cuts the stealing into 50% for a fact. Another important Factor was that the Igbo people of Nigeria were eagerly waiting for this presidential election to come to them, it was a make or break for most igbo people.

Here's the truth my people, we are a country of multi tribes we have three big tribes and many small tribes. if we were to start to take this country seriously building nationalism should be first, our model should be that no tribe would be taken for granted and definitely not with the Big Three tribes. The rotational precedency per zone is the first way to instill that belief that this is a country for all of us and no one, no zone is looked as a servant or another as a master that should be law at this point. If we as a people decided that we want to start messing with a tribe of over 50 million people who holds so much sway economically in this country and internationally, then that lies our biggest problem.

I said this here in the past once there is a loss of confidence in the direction of the country that reflects on the value of our currency because people start pulling out, and then it does not matter whether you supported the president or you campaigned for the current president or you're from his tribe or you hated the other tribe . Once a large percentage of Nigerians that pulling cash out of the country and our currency starts dropping. And at a point regardless of how optimistic you were about the country or how or who you supported for the election you will also panic and pull out and that is what brings down the value of the naira. It has nothing to do with what we were producing or what we were NOT producing. It has nothing to do with any of that otherwise we wouldn't have had better value in the past. The value of our currency was held on the hope that the country would be great, once that is taken away from the belief of the people in the country to the point where they stop investing and only start looking for how to leave, the country cannot survive that starting with the value of the currency. That is the biggest Factor in our currency devaluation at the moment.

The second Factor like I did state here earlier on other posts is there an external factor. During my travels across West and Central Africa over the last 15 years, I have come to realize that we were a threat to the French government on their dream to take over the sub-saharan continent. Every single country that I went to and spoke to their politicians in French speaking Africa they kept repeating the same thing that if we as Nigerians get our act together their people had no business bowing down to the French people as much as they did because Nigeria was equally a big enough partner and right here in Africa who they could trust and deal with. When I put two and two together I started to realize that the French people would like to have us out of the way. For example. the issue of the eco currency for West Africa was brought up the French quickly took over it, sidelined our country's and wanted to be the deciding factor in it. You can also all see the hands of the French government play out in this current administration. Tinubu is literally doing exactly what they say as a policy, what is recommended by World bank/IMF aka Kristin lagard and macron are the policies that the president is following and these are his closest confidence internationally. These were the first people to recognize him as a president and when they say devalue the currency he does, when they say remove the subsidy he does, they're giving him tips of what to do and then they come back and they mock the same decision that they asked him to take when it backfires.

The final thing that is putting a strain on our currency is corruption and corruption becomes endemic when the people, the citizenry have a loss of Hope in the direction of the country. When nobody believes that we're going anywhere it is best to take what you can right now because the future is no longer clear. So even if this were to supposed to be for example (Going back to my initial Point of rotational presidency and nationalism) only the corrupt politicians within the South East who now see for very clear fact that this country is not to be taking serious because their people are being sidelined, and stealing is all that they can do. And then they're stealing and then putting the money into dollars that conversion process puts a lot of strain in our currency. Just imagine if the a lot of politicians in the south South and the southeast were just stealing with impunity because they don't believe where the country was going to (We know for a fact that corruption is endemic in all parts of nigeria) and because they see that the value of the naira is plummeting, they are compelled take this stolen money and try to convert it into US dollars, the strain of that process rinse and repeat will continue to drive our currency down a bottomless spiral.

It started with the election of a wrong candidates from the wrong region. The worst couldn't have happened if we have elected a person from the southwest or anywhere else who truly was an upright person who everybody knows is coming truly to work for the people, it would not be as bad as it is because then the citizenry would say well hey at least this guy is corruption for free, educated, and truly truly out to fight for the interest of everyone regardless, But when you skip a big tribe like the igbo people when it's rightfully their turn and then you put practically the worst person who could ever come up for president in this country ( just look at his resume) then it is done! we were cooked at that point.

The lesson here is as we move forward in this country we have to accept to ourselves this country and our constitution is written in such a way that regardless of who the president is, his people cannot benefit more than the others he's tribe only matters before he becomes the president. As the President he cannot unfortunately be able to overfavor his tribe enough to change their fortunes, because of the way the country is designed. So taking this issue of tribe, rotation of precedency, Political power seriously, to put in that sanctity that no Nigerian is a servant and no one is a master is the first principle that we need to build nationalism. When there is nationalism the people will make sacrifices because they believe they know where the country is going and they believe that their sacrifice is for their future generation. That is how growth is built. No country on the surface of this planet survived when tribalism, ethnicism, nepotism and all of that is the cornerstone of their policy and politics

To those saying Peter Obis presidency would have been the same are lying to themselves. First his presidency for the fact that we got the region right would have brought hope, that alone would have moved our currency up. Has someone ever given you hope to the point that you start glowing for weeks or months? Secondly Peter Obi being elected by the people would have had fear of the electorates and would not be willing to do anything to threaten his mandate, (unlike your I am a God and its my turn president.) So every decision would have been properly thought through. Corruption would have massively reduced.

Hopefully we will learn this time and say never again when next an absolute Loser is presented as a presidential candidate. I worry that the dollar might end up around 7500. in the coming year, and pain of the ripple effect of that is extremely gigantic. There is nothing being done to counter the loss of hope amongst the citizenry.

How is this supposed to happen??

=First of all you stole the turn of the SE to be president by buying INEC,
= After stealing the Presidency in a multiethnic country like nigeria, you are hiring only people from your tribe into top positions.
= You have refused to go after criminals who were responsible for the massive thievery in the Oil sector and political sector in the last goverment.
= You are enacting backyard policies without proper foundations to protect the citizenry from supposed whiplash of these policies.

How can any sane person be positive under this curse? Only those with whom you are robbing the country with are the ones clapping for you.

This is truly a time of National reflection. Time to look in the mirror and ask the hard truth and give ourselves the painful honest answers. How did we get here this quickly. What lessons have we learnt?

Obviously, If I still come here on nairaland to read and comment on articles, its fair to say that there are smart people here and even people in corridors of power, hopefully some of you are taking notes. I had written several comments from the beginning of January last year warning that the naira would capitulate if we elected the wrong person because we were at a crossroads and pulling our last trick out the hat. Those who followed the call and moved their assest to USD, can thank their stars they listened. Apparently guys it appears even my very pessimistic comments back then were quite optimistic with the naira at currently 1290 to the dollar we came here much quicker than i had envisaged. I am really saddened by this. The thing is when the naira capitulates this hard, alot of other asset classes are about to follow. I will be stating these as you read on , but first a reminder of why we are here.

My people, there is NO WAY we can build a successful nation buy sidelining a major nigerian tribe, because FUD (Fear Uncertainty and Doubt) is truly the nemesis of any institution or nation, once the cold hands of fear grips any asset class, what you see happening to the naira happens to it. The screams of marginalization from the victimized, the vitriol, negative publicity and the lack of trust will sink us all. Anyone else blaming anything else is lying to themselves. For progress to persists in any nation, a true sense of nationalism has to be the building blocks of that nation otherwise its going nowhere. Because even when the people from your own region see the way maladministration is being carried out of selfish tribalism, they themselves will never take the government serious, they will believe its business as usual and the looting and sabotage continues. This is the reason everyone one is participating in the robbing and sabotage of the country because they can see through the BS of the governance.

Imagine it this way, as a nation we are all chained and shackled to the feet together and are expected to either move in unison or remain stagnant. Imagine nigeria being in a sort of animal race and we are three big elephants chained together with some other smaller animals, lets say lambs, and we are racing against other groups of animals chained together as well. But then for nigerias case one of the big elephants is stabbed in the leg by the other elephants, its demoralized and is refusing to move forward, How can this entity fare in what is a perpetual race, and if you were a race gambler (aka foreign investor), would you bet on us? Answer is a clear NO. For this country to move forward, equity should be the key word, NO tribe should be taken for granted definitely not a major tribe and when policies are being instituted. when appointment of leadership rotation of leadership is being made, everyone should treated the same. This should be in the constitution with the military backing these laws. We can joke around tribal issues but never play with these issues mentioned If not we are not serious at nation building.

Now in regards to the capitulation of the nigerian naira, lets remember that the nigerian banks are capitalized in Naira, What i am saying is the nigerian banks are not liquid enough to handle the collapse of the naira at the scale that it is collapsing. So if you have your funds sitting in naira or dollars in a Nigerian bank, you might be in harms way. Standard Chartered, Citi Bank, etc are safer options. You heard it from me first, Yup, you are welcome.

Anyone else blaming anything else is lying to themselves. For progress to persists in any nation, a true sense of nationalism has to be the building blocks of that nation otherwise its going nowhere. Because even when the people from your own region see the way maladministration being carried out of selfish tribalism, they themselves will never take the government serious, they will believe its business as usual and the looting and sabotage continues. This is the everyone one is participating in the robbing and sabotage of the country because they can see through the BS of the governance.

Imagine it this way, as a nation we are all chained and shackled to the feet together and are expected to either move in unison or remain stagnant. Imagine nigeria being a sort of animal race and we are three big elephants chained together with some other smaller animals, lets say lambs, and we are racing against other groups of animals chained together as well. But then for nigerias case one the big elephant is stabbed in the leg by the other elephants, its demoralized and is refusing to move forward, How can this entity fare in what is a perpetual race, and if you were a race gambler (aka foreign investor), would you bet on us?

You heard it from me first, Yup, you are welcome.

well.well Since my last post, you have all gotten poorer by more than half. Regardless of what industry you are domiciled in within the nigerian economy. POSTED SO MANY WARNINGS HERE PRIOR TO THE ELECTION, BUT HOW DO YOU REDEEM A NATION ON A CLEAR SUICIDAL PATH ? Read to the end, I will proffer my perceived worse case scenarios and perceived solutions to this quagmire we find ourselves in.

Mr, Wales theory of only 6.8 Billion dollars needed to clear up Fx backlogs is purely subjective. Even if that money is put in the foreign exchange market now, a new deficit will be created in a mere couple of months and we will be right back in the same position.

I have been tracking tracking economies, foreign exchange rate, global policies and Gdp growth for over 20 years now, ONE key thing needed in stability of foreign exchange rate is Perception. Perception itself has even surpassed ;local production in in terms of factors that determine foreign exchange rate since the advent of smart phones and information on the go.

We are a nation of Big Tribes and many smalls ones, Decades ago those in power figured out we have to balance the egos of these three big tribes to have a balanced political, economical and even social environment, The APC regime came in and completely threw us into this satanic tribalistic territory where igbo hating and marginalization is a policy and is barefaced, and we are all going to suffer for it. Here is why

The igbo/igboid people are a majority in nigeria, and might be even more than the yorubas, we can not say for sure without a proper census. (I noticed on wiki the yorubas have gone on to increase their population percent to 20 percent and left the igbo one at 18 percent. although both tribes were listed at 17 percent just three years ago). What we now know for a fact is that the igbos and their sympathizers do have the largest online presence in nigeria, we can tell from the Peter Obi online polls and how he always won with over 80 percent regardless of how it was framed.

If you have these group of aggrieved nigerians on every social platform bashing and dissing nigeria, there is no way our economy or currency can survive that.

My people we have now dived into this electric pond, these is no easy way out. The easiest path would have been allowing an igbo person become president this time when it was rightfully their turn, so that we as can country can heal and build the sense of nationalism that every nationhood needs to survive and build anything on in the long run.

Northerners were ok with the rotation of power to the south, But NO some south westerners refused, they hijacked the election and took the country into this highspeed train off a cliff and that is where we are now. Besides the guy who was elected is someone who has a, should I say God complex or dictatorial complex and that really compounds the situation, a man who felt too big to attend a debate, give an interview and was nominating people to answer a question that was asked to him is a person who believes he is above all and sundry and does not care about the feelings of the masses, and that is the kind of person who would go on to devalue the extremely sensitive naira and remove subsidy at the same time, without meticulously looking at this issue from all corners first, tighten up corrupt lose ends on both sectors before making a policy change. Those of you who voted for the man knew exactly what he was, how are your lives now? It doesnt matter how rich you are as nigerian, you are definitely getting fxcked over and bleeding money if you have nigeria as your main source of income. Not unless you are a corrupt looting politician.

Anyways, our next stop in devaluation is 1500, but honestly there appears to be no end to where we are going because thing with this type of devaluation comes fear and with every deeper devaluation comes an even deeper fear and uncertainty with fuels the next devaluation. And where we are heading to venezuelan and zimbabwean levels of devaluation which brings absolute chaos and crime at extreme levels never before seen, nobody driving a nice car or living in a nice house would feel safe. Well dressed people will be out on the streets begging for food, Mothers will prostitute themselves and their daughters to knowledge of their family. Those who thought they were now big boys on 300k salary will only be able to spend their salary on food and transport. No more tokunbo cars. Those who will survived are those who planned for multiple survivable guaranteed sources of income, minimal monthly cost and rents. I was in zimbabwe at the height of their crisis, this is what was obtainable. Look up videos of venezuela on youtube to get the point.

Here are some of my perceived solutions.
As much as we all know they would hate to, the APC government should be trying to pacify the igbo people by balancing their appointments, an igbo guy should have been Senate president, massage the egos of these people we need them to believe we are in this together. Disown and fire any member of government who makes any perceived hate speech against igbos or pretty much any other tribe, and possible people who make this their means of staying relevant, I mean tribal jingoist like FFK and Omokri. I honestly doubt that this would ease the tribal tension we have now in the country but its not a bad start. Because I see the igbos are being haunted by all these extreme tribalist statements from government officials, for example you can see how the judges at the PEPT sounded, you can clearly hear the words from apc online trolls right from their mouth, Absolutely shocking. Honestly i think pacifying the igbo people at this point may not work, Too much harm has been done, maybe in 4 years tinubu should step aside and let and igbo person take over, but at that point this country would be far too gone in the wilderness.

Option 2 is bend over ass cheeks open and let the french have their way, sign the agreement for ECO to be used as the single currency for ecowas backed by the french and the Euro, they have always wanted to have us under their belt and are partly to be blamed for the political and currency crisis we find ourselves in, You can see the hand of lagarde in these devastating IMF and world bank backed policies that tinubu is foolishly following.. But we are here now in desperate moments and desperate measures are needed.

Option 3 is dollarize the economy. Dollar should be accepted as a means for payment in all sectors and all forms of trading. That is itself is another decision that comes with its own upper cuts.

Shalom!

Anything to distract from the real issues. Naira is now trading at over 1005 to the naira.

Ikwerre is not igbo, Igbo is Ikwerre, Prawn is not crayfish, crayfish is Prawn...Its easier to say they are the same people.

If i go to buy pigeon and all they have is dove, I will collect the dove and go my way.

And for those non rivers indigene wondering, I have stated clearly many times here, the loudest of these we are not igbo people ikwerre stock are in the minority like 20 percent or less and they are being misled by bad politicized leadership from within Ikwerreland, Ohanezendigbo has done a very bad job in uniting igbo people all these years, coming over to simply do igbo day and disappear for 4 years is wrong. Community engagements, organizing sports for all igbo communities and making sure all participants, winners or losers walk away with huge sums. Offer scholarships to best students in igbo communities. Those who are bent on making sure your people are not going to come under one umbrella are actually paying these charlatans to come out and do these things and have been paying them and their traditional rulers for decades, even those people no longer need to be paid to say these things at this point.

There is no true rivers clan, that does not know that the ikwerre people are igbo people. Actually they are the foremost igbo people hence the name iwhuruoha and if they are not called igbo people, no other igbo clan can call themselves that.

PS - Rivers Indigene.

Labour Party Under Obi, Datti, Aisha Yesufu. Dr. Pat should supercharge the movement, Na una wey we trust oh.

Labour Party should NOT be the type of Party where any career criminal/loser/opportunist can just come and contest. Only very Viable candidates, the best of the best should be allowed to contest using the Labour Party name so Nigerians can see the difference clearly. All the people contesting for now, Obidients are supporting for now to make a Political statememt. But henceforth only the best should be acceptable to the LP.

Here is how i suggest this should be done, Labour Party should build a Powerful APP and start encouraging Nigerians within and in Diaspora to join politics. Those who have excelled in their given careers and would like to participate in Elective Government Positions to apply to contest. After initial selection process of picking the best done within LP by their moderators. The Top 5 for each elective position should be promoted within the App with all their Credentials for the General Public/Obidients to Scrutinize and pick the best to represent LP for that Elective post for that State/LGA/Ward in the General Election.

By doing this whenever an LP Candidate is presented for an Elective Post in the General Election, Nigerians go done already understand say na Carry Go!

The stupid article is only speaking to their usual dense illiterates that usually take them serious. No one else is being fooled.

For the record, this election even though very flawed has exposed the right parameters we have to use and start identifying ourselves in Nigeria. All the fraudulent lines of North or South or East etc is no longer tenable. These are the lines that the Europeans came and started drawing in Africa as part of their divide and conquer strategy.

Their was a call for a new nigeria, built on equity, mutual respect, integrity and competence. The difference between the candidates couldnt be more clearer, one was a Godless, extremely corrupt, former drug lord sick with Alzheimers and the other is a God Fearing, and practically The most Prudent Elected Officer in the History of Sub Saharan Africa, The candidate to choose was clear to blind and audible to the deaf.

The drive for a New Nigeria is one that will pull this country and continent out of the shackles of Poverty. The face of the movement was Obi. and for lack of a Better name, the name of the movement is Obidients. From the results Nigeria is Now Divided into three types of territory, The fully Obidient States. The Partially Obidient States and Non Obidients States.

So Mr. Thunder if you are not sure how to make your decision before you strike, please use the new parameters and target the right people. Because Obidients are nigerians who wanted a total U turn from the direction we are going. Evil and wickedness should stay away from us. We are not part of the Problem.

Nigeria has missed an opportunity to prevent what was coming. You were warned

You are mocking Igbo and people from the SS, mocking Nigerians who were fighting for a better future just so you can come online and brag about your tribe. Were Igbo people the only ones exchanging dollar for 750naira? Good Luck to the Nigeria you voted for.

Regardless I continue to urge Obidients to not fall for Violence and destruction of Public Property as a way to vent anger, this will only come back to haunt the already suffering masses. The Election was Obviously massively rigged, but let Obi fight through courts.

I truly do feel sorry for those who have nothing, got woke and walked outside the tribal lines to Identify with candidates that would truly make this country better. May God see you all through these difficult times and those coming ahead.

To those quoting me, I ve been a Billionaire in Naira Since Jonathan was President. I was going to share over 20million naira to Nairalanders if Obi had won, check my previous messages. I started slowing moving out of Nigeria in the Early 2000s and when I saw how quickly the naira devalued during covid I sold over 80% of all my assets in the country keeping only real estates of sentimental value. I am not religious neither have I made money through Political Theft or Criminality unlike the Tinubu that you worship. Even though I am giving a lot to family and friends back home in Nigeria, I am employing foreigners and creating wealth in my new environment, Big loss to Nigeria, not what my father would have thought when he was fighting to put me through school as a child. I would love to come back and be as productive as I am abroad in Nigeria but the outlook of the country looks completely hopeless, why should anyone who has all these amazing international options choose to bother themself with the trouble of dealing with Nigeria? Obviously all that is left is an emotional attachment when we see what the country has become. All I have to do is stop reading Nairaland/Nigerian News and all my nigerian problems disappears. Again I really feel sorry for the Nigerian Masses, including those who let tribal and religious sentiments to vote Business as usual.

The reports I am getting from Akwa Ibom is this current declaration is wrong. There was a power play by the governor and Akpabio to what is shown there. these are not the actual votes. The governor didnt get in the way of Akpabios men collation thats why APC has such a huge number, Governor too chuk in own numbers for Atiku...All subtracted from votes casted for LP.

Massive Rigging! Totally unfair to the Nigerian people who went out to vote.

I think the results being declared now should not be called the confirmed total results. Until the all these unasked questions are properly answered and cleared. There is enough time for whoever the winner is to assume the position of the incoming and familiarize themselves with all the necessities required to run, but in order to carry the nigerian public along and avert public anger, they current totals should be announced as pending or presumptive.
