While most were gloomy over Wiz-kid's and other top Nigerian artistes' absence from the grammy nominees list, another Nigerian, Kah-lo was nominated for Best Dance Recording for her single "Rinse & Repeat" (which is very mannequin-challengish cool). I dare you to listen to the entire piece without moving any part of your body lol

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Kpmg Business Awareness Test by Xcely: 12:41pm On Jan 28, 2016
MY advice;

1. Read the company's core values to get an overall feel of what values they emphasize.
2. Take several Situational judgement tests to familiarize yourself with what kind of questions you might be having.
3. Think about the nature of the job. This will help you understand the priority the firm places on such things as ethics and integrity, excellent quality of work over quantity e.t.c. The responses you have to this self-assessment would guide your answers.

If your school accepted it, then yes.
Just make sure your school writes the name on the CAS
Wow, music to my ears cheesy(or is it eyes now undecided). The University accepted it alongside my official transcript.

I understand that all documents submitted to the UK uni would be resubmitted to the embassy. About my transcript, for economical reasons, I used a transcript used for an American uni to apply to this particular Uk uni tho, so it bore the name of the American Uni on it. The Uk Uni accepted it nonetheless. Hope the Uk embassy will overlook the American Uni name on the transcript just like the Uk Uni.

Good day guys, word on the street is that CU isn't accepting you unless you choose CU in jamb. Please I would like this information to be clarified for some of my friends who Re panicking
That would be irrational on their part. If they were willing to let those candidates sit the CUSAS, then they should be able to offer them places on their chosen courses if they meet the requirements.

feran14:
dunno.
Errrh...Engineering courses are highly cost-intensive. For e.g, CU's mech dept has equipment worth appx N1b. Then there's the cost of paying peeps to operate these equipment as well. Asides these, the premium on CU's engineering courses also warrants corresponding hike in tuition. As an analogy, what Law is to Harvard & Medicine is to John Hopkins, is what Engineering courses (& Accounting) are to CU - these courses have good value for money in the labour market smiley.

Which one specifically? As was stated earlier, these are habits/ideals which graduates who were successful at landing jobs have been found to demonstrate. It's up to you to decide if you'd adopt them or not. Thanks for the compliment btw smiley
For example with respect to the 2:2 GPA thing you mentioned, there are only a few instances where such networking through LinkedIn pays. Most times, these HR people on LinkedIn cannot be contacted directly unless you are on the LinkedIn Premium plan and have InMail credits. Now, where do you expect an unemployed graduate to find N6000 for premium plan subscription on LinkedIn? undecided

Frankly, your odds depend on how many other "Sopranocoders" applied to your course.

Hey so like do you know the cutoff for eng. Like what do you have to get to be considered, cuz my Waec is good, and my Cusas, i got a 234 in jamb.
Hey, I won't worry if I were you. Feran14 has said it all. There are no absolute cut-offs, It depends on the average scores of other persons applying to the courses you've chosen and the amount of space available. Frankly your score should get your foot in the door of any of your courses. wink

Hey Feran, is Civil Eng competitive ?!
From your previous posts, I understand you're applying to Civil, Chem, Building tech nd Mech. Whilst I can say your chances are very high - IMO 75%, just know that those are the most upbeat courses in CU. For my graduating set (Elite Set 2014) Chem produced the best grad student in engineering {a 20 year old female with 4.85 CGPA} ; Mech produced Africa's first "highly commended candidate for the Engineering category of the "2014 Undergraduate Awards Ireland" {btw only two African students were nominated & shortlisted to attend the 2014 UA Global Summit in Dublin, Ireland, amongst the top 10% of the 4792 submissions globally) ; a Civil Guy was the only one to be selected by McKinsey (the world's most prestigious, elitist strategy consulting firm with the toughest recruitment in the world, even a tougher recruitment than Google). The guy was selected last year from an initial pool of 100+ (4.0+ Cgpa only) candidates, after passing the notorious PST (google "mckinsey's problem solving test"wink and scaling those 5 daunting interviews. ; Then there is the first-class girl from Pet. Eng who's currently at Imperial College London, after representing Cu at an international conference in Qatar and coming first during a competition at the Conference. So get ready for some fierce competition in any course you get into. "Engine" peeps are hot oh!. All the same Success with your application!!! *grins again*. {typed from my nokia c1, oops! fingers hurt)
