Access it is for me. Call by 1am and someone's ready to resolve your problem. If the line trips or the internet goes off. They'll call back instantly. They're fast becoming a Barclays in Nigeria lol |
Did anyone here apply to the program? |
sassiemyk:Hmm, your ignorance is alarming |
Guys check this link here. It has great info about Chevening https://gradchecker./2015/12/21/the-british-chevening-scholarships-5-great-tips-for-the-waiting-phase/ |
While most were gloomy over Wiz-kid's and other top Nigerian artistes' absence from the grammy nominees list, another Nigerian, Kah-lo was nominated for Best Dance Recording for her single "Rinse & Repeat" (which is very mannequin-challengish ). I dare you to listen to the entire piece without moving any part of your body lolhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4oWpvJ0f8Q cc lalasticlala, ishilove

Welldone Miss, wonderful feat! I guess this provides a good starting point for any argument about the quality of CU graduates. ![]() |
Anyone else got an invite for the cognitive test? |
MY advice; 1. Read the company's core values to get an overall feel of what values they emphasize. 2. Take several Situational judgement tests to familiarize yourself with what kind of questions you might be having. 3. Think about the nature of the job. This will help you understand the priority the firm places on such things as ethics and integrity, excellent quality of work over quantity e.t.c. The responses you have to this self-assessment would guide your answers. |
Chiscomax:They resort to invectives when they don't have a more rational response. |
Chiscomax:What is this one saying? Since when did you become student council president at Salem to know who is a student and who isnt? ![]() |
berildan:Wow, thanks for the link bro. Just when it was becoming impossible to see any info from previous or current Nigerian Chevening Scholars ![]() |
Thanks for the share mate! ![]() berildan: |

spikesC:Wow, music to my ears (or is it eyes now ). The University accepted it alongside my official transcript.I understand that all documents submitted to the UK uni would be resubmitted to the embassy. About my transcript, for economical reasons, I used a transcript used for an American uni to apply to this particular Uk uni tho, so it bore the name of the American Uni on it. The Uk Uni accepted it nonetheless. Hope the Uk embassy will overlook the American Uni name on the transcript just like the Uk Uni. |
I was wondering if University Statement of Result can be used in place of degree certificate for Visa application. Any ideas? |
Busconductor:That would be irrational on their part. If they were willing to let those candidates sit the CUSAS, then they should be able to offer them places on their chosen courses if they meet the requirements. |
Daniel1111:In everything you do, don't forget your carton(s) of noodles. Thank me later ![]() |
feran14:Errrh...Engineering courses are highly cost-intensive. For e.g, CU's mech dept has equipment worth appx N1b. Then there's the cost of paying peeps to operate these equipment as well. Asides these, the premium on CU's engineering courses also warrants corresponding hike in tuition. As an analogy, what Law is to Harvard & Medicine is to John Hopkins, is what Engineering courses (& Accounting) are to CU - these courses have good value for money in the labour market . |
feran14:You're welcome bro. Guess we should focus on those with unanswered questions. You've already answered a great deal of enquiries here, so most peeps would only have to sift through. I admire your tenacity on this thread tho, kudos! |
DatguyTim:Oh nice. Congrats! |
feran14:Haha..okay I'll assist as much as I can ![]() |
lol..the house is full . so who got in and who didn't? @datguytim what's up? |
Garykasparov:academic bro. ![]() |
kosb: ...Guess they just eased the decision-making process for us. Success to everyone with an offer. #GodWin |
Oops! Regret mail. Nonetheless I was smarter. Reverting to Plan A.... |
club340:For example with respect to the 2:2 GPA thing you mentioned, there are only a few instances where such networking through LinkedIn pays. Most times, these HR people on LinkedIn cannot be contacted directly unless you are on the LinkedIn Premium plan and have InMail credits. Now, where do you expect an unemployed graduate to find N6000 for premium plan subscription on LinkedIn? ![]() |
Well-crafted piece, but there are exceptions where some of these principles don't apply sha |
Thought this was hilarious sha..especially when 潴昣昸 replied 昸攣散 with 散戻捡.. Rotfl |
Daniel1111:Frankly, your odds depend on how many other "Sopranocoders" applied to your course. |
Gbola5:Hey, I won't worry if I were you. Feran14 has said it all. There are no absolute cut-offs, It depends on the average scores of other persons applying to the courses you've chosen and the amount of space available. Frankly your score should get your foot in the door of any of your courses. ![]() |
Gbola5:From your previous posts, I understand you're applying to Civil, Chem, Building tech nd Mech. Whilst I can say your chances are very high - IMO 75%, just know that those are the most upbeat courses in CU. For my graduating set (Elite Set 2014) Chem produced the best grad student in engineering {a 20 year old female with 4.85 CGPA} ; Mech produced Africa's first "highly commended candidate for the Engineering category of the "2014 Undergraduate Awards Ireland" {btw only two African students were nominated & shortlisted to attend the 2014 UA Global Summit in Dublin, Ireland, amongst the top 10% of the 4792 submissions globally) ; a Civil Guy was the only one to be selected by McKinsey (the world's most prestigious, elitist strategy consulting firm with the toughest recruitment in the world, even a tougher recruitment than Google). The guy was selected last year from an initial pool of 100+ (4.0+ Cgpa only) candidates, after passing the notorious PST (google "mckinsey's problem solving test" and scaling those 5 daunting interviews. ; Then there is the first-class girl from Pet. Eng who's currently at Imperial College London, after representing Cu at an international conference in Qatar and coming first during a competition at the Conference. So get ready for some fierce competition in any course you get into. "Engine" peeps are hot oh!. All the same Success with your application!!! *grins again*. {typed from my nokia c1, oops! fingers hurt) |
). I dare you to listen to the entire piece without moving any part of your body lol

). The University accepted it alongside my official transcript.
