Like Sea trade said, she is nobody in real life. No well to do person will dedicate the kind of time she is dedicating to snoop on people's old comments just to use it against them when they are not being paid for it. She saw nothing in my previous comments to use against me then she used i'm the type that live in China in the name of living abroad when i dont even live in China. Thats how petty she can be. My children must not be citizens of my country of origin, I would have explained more but i will resist the urge to shalaye. SamReinvented: Hollup... you are a citizen and you’re applying for a visa as a citizen? None of that makes sense. Sorry. This story don get comma. |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by XiaoLi: 11:05am On Dec 09, 2020 |
Yes you get it right,a citizen is not supposed to show proof of subsistence of any sort to take his children home. Some things just need to changed there! I don't have time to take such matter up, to stop the embarrasement i did Nigerian residence for my wife and minor visa for my kids through my wife's residence..matter closed! NL1960: Quite funny. How can a citizen be asked to show proof of subsistence just because he is going to his country with his family?. Maybe you can take up this issue with the Nigerian in Diaspora Commission. Some of these laws need to be changed.
Let me put this issue in my class whatsapp forum for insights from those abroad. |

Both parents own the children biologically but not legally if you are not legally married to the mother of the children. emmanuelewumi: Both parents own the children, their a limit to the so called ownership because they are not commodities |

What most countries will need is a marriage certificate, the children's birth certificate to prove that you are their father and a means of identification to show that you are a citizen of the country you are travelling to. NL1960: Were you applying as a non Nigerian citizen?. |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by XiaoLi: 9:48am On Dec 09, 2020 |
I applied as a Nigerian, that is the reason i said in my earlier post that there is no common sense in asking me to bring a statement of account. I dont know if they mean that i cannot take my children to Nigeria if im broke. NL1960: Were you applying as a non Nigerian citizen?. |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by XiaoLi: 7:44am On Dec 09, 2020 |
Yes, if you are legally married to a woman in the country of my residence you own any child/children of such marriage legally, if you are not married to a woman and she gives birth, the woman owns the child legally and you have no right or whatsoever to claim such child. In other words you can be a parent without owing the child legally here. ositadiima1: Do parents own their children? |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by XiaoLi: 5:40am On Dec 09, 2020 |
I think you are wrong here, inviting your spouse and children to your country of origin is different from inviting your immediate family to your country of residence. Do you think an American living in Nigeria will need a statement of account to get an american visa for his legally owned children born in Nigeria by a Nigerian woman? You can enlighten me. jedisco: Most countries will use your statement of account as supporting evidence for proof of funds when applying for an individual visa or family visa. It's nothing new. No country wants to admit people that'd put more burden on their system. |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by XiaoLi: 4:15am On Dec 09, 2020 |
This is exactly how Nigeria works, laws are made withouth using common sense, the first time i tried to bring my wife and kids to Nigeria the people at Nigeria embassy in my country of residence asked me to bring my statement of account to make sure i can take proper care of my family while in Nigeria, i asked them if it means i cannot take my family to Nigeria even if i'm broke..they couldn't answer this question but insisted that providing my statement of account is one of the requirements. There's no common sense on that. RealityShot: SEC should make e-dividend automatic By sending customers bank details along with names to the registrars
Why is that so hard?
Why can I not open a stock broking account, buy shares and start getting dividend to the bank account I registered with my broker? No need for extra steps before I access dividend. Most people don't even know about the extra steps self, Why outstanding dividends no go climb?
Most of the market woman banks sold shares to inside markets in owerri in 2008 don't know how to get those shares now.
Dangote flour Mills delisted from the exchange while owing me 900 units, How do I get that back?
That happened because EDC registrars kept asking me to sign papers and send via FedEx at N3000 a pop to Lagos, and I got tired when I realised I had spent the entire worth of the shares on posting papers!
SEC is the problem, they need to rearrange the dividend process as I said above. |

Before I reveal too much about myself It's not necessary To close this subject matter....
1) Never have I claimed to be an expert I only come here to share my thoughts on certain subject matters That's about it
2) Never have I claimed to be a multi billionaire investor Yea, my portfolio is VERY DECENT for a man my age (less than 35) But then There is still room to do better
3) That claim that I dig across the internet to copy and paste here is also another ludicrous allegation What gain does one have in doing that? Btw, since most of the discussions here over lap with my field(s) Why do I have to "Google"
4) My stance has always been the same.... I'd love to move out of Nigeria one day Nothing wrong with that And wanting to move out does not make me a riff raff
5) Betting was a phase of my life I would not go back to..... Even though I am lucky that it did not destroy me financially I wont recommend that for anybody
6) Yes, I may be less than 10 years into this, but that does not take anything away from me. We learn and get better everyday
7) Never did I claim that I am as knowledgeable as Sir Emmanuelewumi Or did I say I want to be like him That's your allegation and its false and baseless I admire him and have a lot of respect for him And I wish to be like him, or even better, when I grow up

On point, this is a better version of you, keep it up! Lazyyouth4u: It is not greed that is making locally produced goods more expensive sir. The cost of production in Nigeria is too high. Manufacturers have to buy generators and diesel, they have to move goods and raw materials in bad roads where these goods are sometimes stolen by highway robbers, trucks break down and have to be fixed all the time, workers are stealing from the company, interest rates are high, raw materials, machinery/plants and spare parts are imported with a devalued Naira, lots of clueless managers running companies because they are related to Oga, etc. Most importantly, economies of scale keeps foreign goods super cheap. Those countries produce so much of these commodities that the costs per unit naturally go down as they are spread over larger quantities. Naija businesses can not compete.
Overcapacity and oversupply in China (and even India) has led to a situation where some commodities can be shipped and dumped in Nigeria and other African countries (at costs that are still lower than Nigeria’s even with inclusion of shipping and duties) just for these Asian companies to break even.
For Naija made goods to compete, costs of production have to go down. Fix the power situation, road networks, crime, fx situation, lower interest rates and employ better staff and managers and the difference will be felt. I doubt that will happen in the next 5 to 10 years. |

You are right, when you are too good in our society people will see it as weakness and will definately want to take advantage of you, none of my RM mess with me, infact they use their own money to run petty expenses for me (like printing a passport photo i sent via whatsapp..e.t.c)hoping i will pay them back when i return to the country. I still stand on business must be business and there must be consequence for any mess up, well maybe i am used to the system of the country of my residence, here there is big consequence for default of any type. ojesymsym: Bros, this is sounding like music to you because you can afford it. Don't handle this kind of issue with emotions, do what you are supposed to do immediately to recover your money, the guy in question has already messed up by tampering with your money so i don't think it's bad if you take actions that will get him sacked. Nobody dare try what he did in countries that understand the meaning of consequence, this action can even land him in jail in some countries. tracyorez: I said after 12noon and I don't get alert that I will visit their head office and write a mail if not satisfied with their response but the ops mgr really pleaded on his behalf to give her till 2moro to call him. I will still them 2moro if I don't hear from them, then I will use the opportunity to request for the loan documents To be honest,I am being hesitant to write the mail because I know it might lead to his firing and I don't want any one to loose his or her means of livelihood on my account.
