Cyynthia: Idiotic police. Previously, Biafran remembrance day comes with prayer and other activities in some designated places Ipobs mapped out to celebrate the event.
But recently, they have decided to do the remembrance by staying at home since police and army are good at shooting them in the process (Though the army always meet their karma via boko haram) Now, tell me how the sit at home order affect these idiotic police men ? Would they be moving from house to house to drag people out of their homes ? What is in wrong in remembering someone's lovely ones ? Why is Nigeria struggling to cover the truth by trying to suppress anything Biafra/ Ipob(even though its impossible) ?. Are they feeling guilty ? If really the Aburi accord and 3 R's were implemented, do you think this agitations would have sprung up ?
Buhari is evil Buhari is a terrorist ! Take it easy and stop crying, lest you hurt yourself. Bullying of the igbos has to stop if we are still claiming one Nigeria. It's unfair to just continue to bully a person or a particular group because they are weak and have no support or powerful alliance. If you can't love them let them go. But their girls are the best, FFK, Davido and myself can testify to that. |

Romance › Re: Nairaland Men, Stop Wasting Your Time On Unattractive Girls. by Ximenez(m): 5:12pm On May 17, 2018 |
XML33: Majority, if not all of the ladies I have seen on this forum are usually very unattractive. I wonder why most guys here waste their time chatting with these girls in hopes of meeting them. Don't you guys have pretty women in your environments? Even if you don't, go on Instagram and see loads of attractive women that you can meet. Or better still, save up money and travel around the world. Your perception will change. It's shameful for a guy to waste more than a minute with a girl who isn't attractive when there are millions of attractive women of all races scattered around the world. I honestly haven't seen a single girl here that I'd confidently say is attractive, and I've come across lots of attractive black women in my lifetime.
The only reason why a guy would waste time talking to an unattractive girl is if he is very unattractive himself, and what makes a man unattractive isn't just limited to looks alone, money and status adds to it.
I honestly pity you guys. You are making unattractive girls feel like they are beautiful when they certainly aren't. What baffles me the most is that these same ugly girls, probably due to false flattery, will carry their ugly heads high and be giving these guys attitude. How despicable.
Guys, please leave these unattractive girls and go and make money and take care of yourself. When you do, you will understand the difference between a beautiful girl and an ugly girl and you'll distance yourself from the later. Is there a general standard for measuring attractiveness? A lady might not be attractive to me but might be to you. |

Please stop encouraging her to leave her current boyfriend for you like you left your girl for her. Imogenn: Straight to the point, I turned 24 two weeks ago and I’m beginning to feel old.
I’m beginning to feel less desirable, and feel the need to lie about my age when I meet new guys.
I don’t know how time passed so quick but in my mind I cannot accept the new age that I’m in.
I think I’m going through a mid life crisis at 24, it’s truly just a weird feeling and in other aspects of my life, i’m not where I want to be.
I want to know if anyone else has/is experiencing this and how to deal with it? It's something very common in Nigeria. Most of the ladies have been celebrating 25th birthday for the past ten years. |

I still do not get the relevant of that question. I have never been admitted into hospital all my life and I do not go to hospital except the day I contacted gonorhia from one girl like that. Even people told me to take harb, but I prefer injection, that was why I went to hospital. I still do not know the relevant of that question. They are even the ones that do it the most. Most Doctors and Nurses in Nigeria are not like that, they maltreat patients and transfer aggression to them |

Michael004: Explain how it is part of treatment. It's just like an icebreaker. You need to try and find a way to make the patient your friend, to trust you and be ready to open up to you. That will make the major treatment to be easier. That's what good Doctors do. You can even crack jokes and chat with the patient as you would a normal friend. It's even advisable to start with something like that if you want to clerk a patient. But it's the psychiatrists that need the skill the most, it's the major part of their job |

UDIOK: Please do you know what? kindly go back to your dictionary this time check line by line the meaning of engineering and their job descriptions....Nigerian engineers don't do anything but they design hospitals resolve the forces acting on member frames that make up the building, built the premises which you use, bros most of the equipment's you use here are done by Nigerians engineers, if you have no idea consult your employer, well am so busy to engage you with arguments but if you insist just find your way to Fabrication yard your eyes will deceive you on what Nigerians engineers can do........In Medicine what you learn is what you do till thy kingdom come but in Engineering Technology fades and new ones emerges ok we study a lot here..u can glance through the pix to see what we do to raised money for your country through oil facilities, we are talking about value added chain, the money doctors produce is for their pocket but we produce for the economy of the country.....mind you all what you saw here was carried out by Local content......No expatriate......wink You are very wrong for saying what you learn in Medicine today, is what you will do forever. Go and bring a Radiologist that qualified in 1982 that has not updated his knowledge, to a modern day Radiology department. I can assure you, he won't be able to do a thing. |

OSUigbo: I believe we have more half-baked so-called doctors than engineers.
Engineering is not all about what they teach you in school, it about critical thinking and inventions.
Medical students only learn from what is written in the book by someone (a researcher). Engineering is INFINITY.
Modern medicine of today is made possible by engineers.
The most notable people that have impacted and shaped life are engineers. Do you even know how many things we import in Nigeria? And you think we really have Engineers in this country. Generally at the undergraduate level, the education system is messed up. But medical students still have hope, because from part 4 you start going for clinical postings, to go and learn from Consultants, Specialists etc how things are done in the teaching hospital. They Nigeria Engineering schools are not set up in a way to make the students innovative. They just give you handout, set tougher questions for you and fail you. |

Purehuman: If you are an engineer in the telecom industry, you will work thrice the time because all base station must be up 24hours not minding if there is a mudslide happening in the area. As you work, you solve new problems everyday from your head.
But in medicine, if there is no cure for a particular ailment, no doctor can improvise. They will leave the person to die. That's exactly the point, how much do those Engineers in the telecom earn? It's different from studying Engineering and teaching chemistry in a comprehensive high school. That means you are no longer an Engineer. |

Michael004: Don't mind them, they will be asking old people about her husband, the number of children she has. If the husband is dead, will be asking you the year he died as if na Wetin won treat the woman be that. They will carry stethoscope on their neck without knowing anything. The thing dey always make me laugh. It's part of the work, you have to get close to your patient and be sympathetic, make him or her feel comfortable with you. It's part of the first thing a Medical student will be taught in part 4, which is the first Clinical year under Clinical Methods. |

OSUigbo: I said it earlier that the system is in a mess. The reason why you see all those foreign expatriates is because of corruption to steal more money. Nigerian doctors on the other hand are no better. An average Nigerian medical doctor graduate is useless abroad. They don't know anything. They have to go through series of training before they are allowed to practice. It's not the same for a foreign trained medical doctor.
All you people just do is to cram books written by someone to just pass. No critical thinking.
Only poor and average Nigerian with no choice make do of Nigerian doctors. Our politicians knows how ignorant u people can be. You are right, Medicine is an Art, Medical students are like Apprentices, they learn from various teachers both dead and alive till they too advance in knowledge do more research and write their own books. It continues like that, that's why diseases such like malaria, measles, polio are no longer life threatening as they once were. Nigeria Engineering school is nothing to write home about, you people are not being taught much, and the little you are being taught you can't even apply it to anything. I was never an Engineering student but i have experience with them from both BUK and OAU. Your lecturers just give you handouts, set some tough questions for you, fail you and brag about failing you. How many times do you go to the Laboratory in a week, what equipment do you have there? Are they useful and up to date? Finally, do you know how many half baked Engineering graduates are being churn out on a yearly basis by a single school? You only get paid from where you work. Only few of them can be absorbed in the few industries we have in Nigeria, while majority will be posted to schools to teach science subjects. |
