First you are asked to sit in a waiting room from where you will be called out for accreditation whereby your credentials will be checked. Much emphasis will be given to your date of birth (whether you have the original birth certificate and if the date is the same on all documents ).After the accreditation, each candidate is led to the interview room where he/she will first be asked questions based on knowledge about WAEC before a an interviewer will ask you questions based on the course you studied in school. sodiksan: I don't actually know why people refused to talk about the interview, because the panel did not tell me anything of such (probably they already know they will be recruited that's why they told them not to inform others about the interview)
As regards what the interview entails, its just the normal interview proper;
1 - Introduce yourself
2 - Questions as regards WAEC, which I think they ask at random, no actual question, any question can be asked as regard WAEC.
3 - Question as regard your field of study or the position you are applying for. (Meaning one must be a bit vast in the field you are applying for)
I hope this help someone going for interview tomorrow and please let's share information with each other, what is meant for one won't pass him or her. thanks for the update:that is the spirit! |

ABDamola: Asin dm no wan divulge information... Some are saying it will be detrimental.. Lolzzz Giving a clue of how interview was has been tagged unprofessional my brother, this is quite strange to the spirit of forum discussion whereby information are shared for the benefits of members .If the OP had refused to share information about this recruitment because it would make more people aware and thus become detrimental to his chances of being employed, a whole lot of persons may have missed this recruitment. |

Chukwurah003: You clearly know nothing about the Army. Police special forces is no match for even regular soldiers. It’s like you don’t know what it’s like to fight terrorists who don’t care about death.
Is it the number of magazines or decisiveness that wins a battle. You’re extremely naive. you know nothing about the forces. some well trained policemen can only be compared to special forces in the army. Some regular soldiers in Nigeria have so lost military bearing that they barely know how to shoot the gun. |

Education › Re: Phd Requirement by Xlyad(m): 3:27pm On Jul 27, 2019 |
asuustrike1: Thanks. Why I raised this issue is the fact that a friend of mine had scored above 60% (Weighed Average Score) but he was told to do M.Phil at University of Lagos where he applied for Phd. He had his M.sc at Uniben but thought of changing environment hence he opted for University of Lagos. Unfortunately as alleged by him,he was asked to do M.Phil. My question is, is 3.5CGPA equivalent to 60% Weighed Average Score ? If yes why do some Universities insist on 4.0 CGPA or 60% any difference between the two?. PHd requirements vary across schools. For UNILAG it is 4.0 , for UNN it is 3.5 with the exception of about 3 departments including Economics where 4.0 is required. Moreover, UNILAG doesnot discriminate based on which school one finished from. If your CGPA lies between 3.5 and 3.99 one is mandated to take the MPhil route for which you will finish same time as the regular PHd students. MPhil is just like a one year probation after which you become a PHd student |

fratermathy: There's no masters anywhere without research. However, you can use Google to check the difference between course based or research based masters. Thanks. I beg to differ . There are masters without research .difference between a Masters by Coursework and a Masters by Research? A Masters by Coursework is a professional qualification involving the study of a specified set of core units and a selection of eligible elective units. Undertaking a coursework program will mean that you will attend classes, complete assignments and sit exams where applicable. Some Masters by Coursework also require the completion of a minor thesis as part of the course. Dependent on the course, part-time and online study options are available. For more information, please see our Postgraduate Study at ECU web page. A Masters by Research involves the submission of a completed thesis based on an independent research project. Students studying a Masters by Research work independently with the support of a supervisor and the School. Students may be required to attend units to help expand skills in the area of research.IN UNILAG, outside your coursework, you do rigorous research the big difference is SPEED! They are super fast and well organized |

fratermathy: Over where? UNN or UNILAG?
UNILAG runs a course-based Masters which is generally faster than thesis or research based Masters, which many Nigerian varsities run. This statement is false. UNILAG combine both coursework and research ,and by your logic should take longer. The difference in the duration is just about choice and UNILAG superior organization. |
A prospective Lagos based palm oil processing company,is in need of a guarantee of regular supply of oil palm fruits.
Preference:The source and farm should not be farther than the southwest.
Please send your proposals to contact@albasitco.comI don't know the motive behind you citing it in Lagos but being that raw material (palm fruit) is heavy I feel it is better you process it close to the farm before moving the processed product to Lagos. It will surely reduce cost. That notwithstanding, the best way I know of for guaranteed supply is to rent palm plantations and pay annually or in the alternative pay upfront to plantation owners who harvest to sell to you |
