mamaafrik: Southerners in the North please let us contribute objectively to this as we can really fishout what is going on. Many people are relying on Nairaland for actions, politicians are listening than before,if You are a Southerner living in the North please ,please share the situation of things,i can categorically tell you that seme in SW is under serious water tight locks. since you asked for the real situation of things, the truth is that smuggling is still very active in the northern borders. A bag of foreign rice ,for example, went for 9000 naira at Maiduguri as of last week. |

Godson214: Fellow nairalanders I greet you all, I need help in running my masters in Mass communication in Unilag. I graduated with a second class lower (International Relations) and done with my nysc since two years. How do I go about it?
PS- I intend staying off campus. As I also work for a media team. Thanks you can run a masters program in UNILAG by obtaining the master's form which is advertised around June every year which qualifies one for an entrance exam for which the successful ones are given admission. The form costs #22500 and the exam has already been written for this year. To be thoroughly guided, Google the thread for UNILAG PG admission for the previous years on Nairaland. |

MedicH: No coach ever can vote messi. There's no other player in the world that can be scoring against Spain in the world cup canceling all their 3 goals. That alone is incredible and out of this world. Let me not even talk about Liverpool UCL blunder. Of course everyone knows u can't have Ronaldo in a team that needs just a goal to advance and he won't do it. I can bet 1m. How many goals did Juventus need against Ajax? |

Eco101: Nawaoo, one person per Subject and they shortlisted thousands for aptitude test and hundreds for interview. You need one person per subject and 25 persons in the whole Federation and you made people to travel from different parts of the country for a test. I am not saying that organizing an open recruitment is bad, but considering Nigerian factor, it is obvious that the Ogas and top Politicians will certainly bring their candidates. Since it is not up to one person per State, tell me how an ordinary Nigerian will get a slot. Before you tell me about integrity in WAEC recruitment, remember we have heard such in organizations like DPR in their last recruitment and we all saw what happened. Where people that neither applied nor participated in the test let alone interview were given appointment letters. Success! success!! success!!! brother in case you don't know, the AR2 position is an international position not a national one. Although the current registrar is Nigerian, the chairman and other members of the interview panel were from other African countries. From what I saw, the chances of politicians influencing the process is slim.invitation is based on test score. In fact, for garment making only one candidate had an acceptable test score so only she was invited. From the language used after her interview, she is sure of getting the job. |

Furthermore we were 9 invited for AR2 Economics of which one who was not present was called but was asking for reschedule to which they said was not possible. Moreover, the candidates are arranged to enter the interview room in order of their performance in the test. So we have first candidate, second candidate ,....Also on the issue of how many persons will be taken in each position ,we were told it will be only one per post. On pay,I gathered that the pay is up to 400k. |
