[quote author=Attit post=96253433]@onyiiix9523 You met someone on my thread does not mean I am involved. I have given you a piece of advice. May God guide you as you make your choice. Again, don't let anyone put pressure on you. Avoid farmers' pressure, workers' pressure, land grabbers' pressure, partners' pressure, etc. Work according to your own pace. Your goodness will not flow pass you. Shine your eyes esp in Lagos. Not saying anyone is a fraud. It is your money, don't bow to insults also. You see that I don't care as long as their insults mean nothing. |

But no access to land but can partner with you since I'm a trained agricultural graduate ( B.Agric) The Op has a narrow mindset and is not open to broadening his views about life. I stay in Ojo Cantoment and I am open to partnering with you. It could come in several ways. We can work together on the same project or I can help you lease a piece of land to do your own farm. Let me know the option you prefer. |

Attit: Carrying hose about is not a good irrigation system. I can bet your worker spends more than half of his time splashing water on your leaves limiting him from covering more areas of land. Meanwhile his salary is a must for you to pay. This is a big mistake new farmers make. Maybe just 1 out of 500 farmers who start like this survives it and are able to grow their businesses. Like I wrote earlier, I do not have more resources I can afford to lose. From what I have been discussing in my thread, you should have an idea you need reasonable amount of money. If you dont have such, do a pilot how you can, then showcase it. One can know how to come in. If you can afford to upgrade yourself and buy quality seeds and agro materials, we can proceed. Drop your whatsapp. Goodluck! . |

Attit: Without irrigation you can do nothing. And it needs to be almost automatic these days since most dont have energy to do hard task, and employing labor in Lagos is suicidal. I have exhausted what I can afford to lose like I wrote. Though, the opportunity to make high profit is still available, but I dont have what it takes further. This is me being honest, and not forming like a rich man. I can always guide anyone who can arrange 1 plot for himself or herself. Goodluck! I have an irrigation system in place(a borehole, pumping machine and a hose) as well as a farm worker. Location is very close to my flat from which I can give good stewardship. Employing Labour is only suicidal when there is no supervision. Guide me then. |

Attit: I am a farmer and I got busy recently with some other activities. I want to still continue producing for my buyers. If you live in Ikorodu or other parts of the city, and you have a piece of land you can use, you may like this. You will make a bamboo or wooden stake for cultivating bitter melon. I will provide seeds, net, chemicals, and fertilizer for sowing. While you provide irrigation and the rest. I will also guide you. Drop your whatsapp and I will contact you. It seems I'm late to the party. I'm very much interested in this. I reside in Ojo, Lagos state and with access to several plots of land. Can you still avail me this opportunity? |

Agriculture › Re: Please i need a sponsor or an Investor In Water Leaf Farming by Xlyad(m): 12:08am On Nov 11, 2020 |
my2chains: Hello everyone here,
i have a business idea that i need serious partners or investors on, although i have no capital but I have a land I rented with borehole there!
so there is water available, the farmland is in lagos and is closer to the market.
please invest on farming today because it pays and its very profitable on the long run,
you can really plant pepper,okro,tomato,cucumber,ugu leaf.water leaf,plantain,cassava,etc
after planting you can carry them to sell at mile 12 market for faster sales, or maybe any large populated markets around
although in mile 12 market in lagos a bag of 25kg pepper is sold 8k a basket of tomato is 6k a custard paint of okro is 300 to 700 depending on the season, a bag of water leaf sells from 2,500 to 5000
please note the prizes of all this crops do changes with time,
and you wont expect the prize they are been sold today to be sold the same prize next week or so.
apart from mile 12 there are also other markets women nearby that needs steady supply of all this crops i have mentioned here.
to me all of them are profitable and good, but i prefer planting okro because of no too much stress and worry of diseases and pest,
expectially the dwarf okro seeds that matures in just 54 days with less stress,
even without applying manure or fertilizers to it,
anyone interested in partnering with me on this will gain a lot.
If you already have a land that is free then this is an advantage
this dwarf okro produces faster everyday,
just 1 plot of land can give you much more okro to sell and make money as you can ever imagine,
if you have an acre filled with okro then you will have enough to sell comercially,
just 1 acre of land filled with okro will make you harvest baskets of okro every single day for almost 3-4 months depending on the duration and life of the seeds,
a basket of okro can sell upwards from 5k-7k depending on the season
and 1 acre of land can give you more than 10 baskets everyday
as for marketing i have agents in mile 12 that sells for you and take only 10% of the total sales
we can even sell at iyano-iba market that is very closer to my side. Or do make supplies to restaurants that will be needing it
You can even startup with just 1 plot of land and be successfull in this and increase with time,
this is indeed a money spiner for anyone interested
invest on this and start counting real money
i am based in lagos we can get to meet one on one to discuss this
please and please i need people who can think outside the box on this,
i am geniun and i have no issue on trust all i want is the way forward to achieving a greater tomorrow
a good name is far more better than a bad name,
a budget of 60-75k can startup and maintain 1 plot of okro till we reach harvest from buying of machine to pump the water to buying of manures, hybrid okro seeds,pesticides/insecticides,watering them daily, transportation and fertilizers
all i want is just to be the farm manager thats all
do call me on 09032884494
thanks your idea is very viable. I also stay close to the place you described. I recommend his idea to anyone liquid enough to invest on it(Okra farming). |

That very day made me realize that food is the only necessity in life. Hungered for three whole days! Was literally shaking like a drunken master. All my legs felt numb. I began remembering the good old days I ate good food.
I nearly licked toothpaste.
I broke a vow to never beg that day.

= 22/7*14²*16 = 22*2*14*16 =9,856cm² 9,856-9789==67 And=67 that is wrong.what you calculated is the volume . The total surface area of a cylinder is a=2πr(r+h) i.e. the sum of the curved surface area and areas of the circular ends. |

[quote author=FarmTech post=94311769]. Hello. Pls, what is the dimension of the beds and how is the proper way to cut? pardon my belated reply.A bed is about 33squared metres. One can vary the length and breadth(e.g. 8m by 4m,6m by 5.5m).The proper way to cut ugu is to leave about 3 leaf nodes before cutting for first cut and for subsequent cuts, only cut offshoots that are about 1m long. Don't allow your ugu get too long, say 2m before cutting as that will weaken the roots ,making them to die early and don't cut it when it is too short, say 0.3m as it will take too long to get the next harvest. |
