Nollywood actress and producer, Lota Chukwu has taken to Twitter to throw massive shade at short kings.

The actress, who gained popularity after playing the role of 'Kiki' in Funke Akindele's Jenifa's Diary, went online to state that she could never date a short man.

According to her, any man below 5'11 was short and she loved forehead kisses too much to date someone that made her bend to get them.

The Word of Life Bible Church’s founder and the former wife of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Mrs. Helen Oritsejafor, have refuted rumours that they are divorced.

Online rumours that the couple’s 25-year marriage had ended have not been verified.

In a statement released this afternoon, Mrs. Oritsejafor stated that they are not divorced, adding that she has never been unfaithful to her husband.

Nigerian lady slaps her boyfriend for proposing in public after one month of dating (video)


A video that captures the dramatic moment a young Nigerian lady turned down her boyfriend's marriage proposal is currently making rounds online.

The incident took place at Festac Mall on Sunday, December 12.

The lover boy, who proposed with a car decorated with balloons, rose petals, and a 'will you marry me?' sign, had gone down on one knee to propose to his girlfriend outside the mall, in the presence of other shoppers.

However, the lady wasn't having it at all as she slapped him, and told him to stand up immediately because he was embarrassing her.

She was also heard saying they've only dated for one month so she doesn't understand why he would propose to her in public after such a short time.


All the while, other shoppers who had gathered round the couple, were encouraging her to say "YES" to her boyfriend's proposal but the lady maintained her stance and walked out on him.

A popular socio-political activist, Deji Adeyanju, has mocked the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, for attending the Living Faith Church’s annual programme.

The Congress of University Academics has expressed her disappointment with the Federal Government, especially the Ministry of Labour and Employment, over the non-payment of her members’ withheld salaries “even when it was properly established that they did not call for the 8-month strike nor take part in it.

CONUA, in a statement on Tuesday, signed by its National President, Secretary and Publicity Secretary, Dr Niyi Sunmonu, Dr Henry Oripeloye and Dr Ernest Nwoke, respectively, said it was wrong for the FG to lump CONUA with members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities who went on eight months strike between February and October, 2022.

The new union of lecturers thereby viewed to sue FG for withholding its members’ salaries.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha, has stirred emotions after sharing a video of his recent visit to daughter's school.

The actor who doesn't joke with his first daughter, Mercy, explained how he terribly missed her after being away for several weeks.

According to a job posting for a rodent exterminator, New York City appears to be less of a rat race and more of a rat sanctuary these days.

In 2014, it was estimated that there were two rats for every human in New York, implying that the vermin population today stands at almost 18 million.

Applicants will need a bachelor’s degree and a “general aura of badassery”, according to the amusing listing seen by NewYork post.

A “virulent vehemence for vermin” and the “drive, determination, and killer instinct needed to fight the real enemy – New York City’s relentless rat population” are also desirable qualities that anybody interested in the vacancy should possess.

The ad continued: “Cunning, voracious, and prolific, New York City’s rats are legendary for their survival skills, but they don’t run this city – we do.” At last month’s bill signing, Mayor Eric Adams delivered a purposeful message when he said: “I’ve made it clear I hate rats, and we’re gonna kill some rats. Commotion as a newlywed couple creates a scene on their way home after the husband ended the marriage with his wife.

A video making rounds on social media captured the moment a newlywed husband calls for a break barely hours after tying the knot.

The reason for the decision, however, remains unknown as the wife struggled to get help while pleading profusely.

Efforts from onlookers also proved abortive as the middle-aged man insisted that he was done with the marriage on the spot.

Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa has exonerated himself from those President Muhammadu Buhari accused of stealing local government allocations.

Buhari had earlier blamed governors for the under-development of communities at the council areas, claiming that governors were tampering with the monthly allocations to the local councils.

The president revealed this on Thursday at a parley with members of the Senior Executive Course No. 44 (2022) of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, held at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja.

Former chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomole has explained why Nigerians shouldn’t vote for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
