I think you can try it. A lot of people switched from Lagos to Abuja without paying another mrv fee, Now I don't know if being denied a visa in the past is a factor. But if you can still see the reschedule button on your portal, then I suggest that you give it a try. You can try to find out the current available dates in Abuja. it might be around December/January as well so you may not have anything to lose..

Okay like my own case my initial appointment was December at Lagos consulate before I applied for ER twice this month and was denied when I tried to cancel the appointment the earliest date is July 2022..are you saying i should go ahead and cancel it and I wouldn't have to pay for another MRV fee??Then I should fill another ds160 and re-apply to abuja?? then request for another ER because my resumption date is 25th of August!

Defer the admission to spring session and go for your interview in september.

I did re-apply for ER again yesterday at lagos consulate I received an email from them today that they have reviewed it and denied again.....anyway I don write school to defer to spring na dem sabi

You can't use the same receipt I think you need to go to Gtbank and make complain if they can help you rectify it and change it BUT if not ... you will have to buy another visa fee for F1category

You can only use $ mastercard/visa of any bank to make payment.. you cannot use normal naira debit card to make payment for foreign transaction

I apply for ER on July 9 at Lagos consulate i attached with the email my i20 and sevis fee payment receipt ..I’m going for masters and receive an email from them on July 24th that my ER is been reviewed and I will get a reply soon. But today I received an email that my ER is denied ..This is my first attempt ... so what could be the reason for this? I will be writing the school to deferred my admission to spring 2022! Because my initial appointment was December 2021.

With regards to the Emergency Appointment in Lagos, you're not alone. Lagos seems to be taking a long time to respond to those right now. I'll personally suggest you use your Dad as the sponsor, at least that way, the VO can be convinced you won't be stranded if your funds run out. I don't think there are rules to it tho. Your age isn't an issue at all. I wish you good luck as you wait for a date.

I study psychology in my underG and I applied for masters in Public Administration at a private university in PA ..I have my i20 already and I have paid the Sevis Fee as well but class resumes by 25th of August i try to schedule appointment at Lagos consulate but the available is Dec 11 which picked but I request for emergency appointment 3 days ago and I haven't read back from them what can I do? Also as an adult in late 30's I work as a tour manager is it ideal for me to put self sponsor or i should use my father as sponsor while filling ds160 form? The estimated average cost for 9months is $25K personal funds! No funds from the school, No on campus employment as stated on the i20.. Please I need advise and more enlightenment ..do I stand chance? Thanks
