Good day,

I've been masturbating at an average of twice a day for the past 8 years, I really can't explain how it got to that level but I was so addicted to it that I could self-service when I'm sick or even fasting.

So recently I decided to call it quit, it's been 1 month now and it seems I'm waking up to the reality of not being in a relationship all my life, I'm 26 BTW and I've never felt so much urge and desire to be in a relationship as I'm feeling right now. I'm always of the opinion that I don't need a girl now and would definitely get one when I'm ready to settle down but it seems very hard for me to approach a girl and the thought of being in a relationship scares me, I feel the relationship might not last, I might not be committed and the girl might get bored and leave.

Through out my stay in the university and my NYSC days I had no single female friend and presently I have no female friend. When I'm in the midst of people I don't give audience at all to any female and might not even speak to them but I have lots of male friends, I know I'm not gay but I just don't feel that need to talk to a girl or keep up with them, I don't even have a single female contact on my phone.

I'm working and fairly comfortable now but I'm beginning to worry that I might not be able to fall in love or even get to approach a lady for any meaningful relationship and the worst of it all is relapsing (start masturbating again). Please I need your advice.

But inspite of all these, the church has always come out strong.

However, the most deadly war, which the church is not taking seriously in Nigeria now, that may consume the church very soon, is the e-war, online sponsored lies and propagandas by the enemies of the church, 80% of which is coming from the camp of the other religion.

Ever since that particular religion was exposed for its lies and terror inclinations as a result of many deadly terror attacks being carried out on daily basis here in Nigeria and all over the world, their camp here in Nigeria has drawn up evil plans to destroy the church using online lies and propagandas through some machinations and paid agents, to dig out videos, so many other things to desecrate and discredit christian faith.

If you notice, our top men of God in Nigeria are being attacked and ridiculed daily all over the cyberspace in Nigeria.
Why ? Bcs that's the agenda! "since they call us terrorists let us call them thieves". and destroy them through our tongues!!!

But my biggest worries are these,
So many of the so called Nigerian christians are ignorant of this thereby falling for the scam, while many are even helping the enemies ignorantly to achieve their goal by dancing to their tunes,not knowing that the music is from the camp of the enemy.

Lastly, u said Islam is the predominant religion in Nigeria?
That's the biggest lie they tried to sell to us!!!

I repeat, it's the biggest lie of the millennium!!!

Just scrolling down the Religion section looking at the titles here on Nairaland, makes me sorrowfully pity Nigerians.
When I think I've seen it all, something new pops up beyond my imagination.
I agree with you though that the enemy and his minions have been waiting for the chance to fully blame the religion of Christianity...note that I said Christianity....for what's occurring.

I have to remind myself of the above quote when I come to Nairaland, because sometimes I actually envision little demons typing away invisibly and giggling with a high-pitched screeching voice saying,

I haven't experienced folks here in the U.S. blaming the church. Of course Nigeria would mock and blame the church because there is a blatant war specifically against Christianity there.
I read about it daily right here on Nairaland.
Which I find so interesting because, if "religion" is to blame and Islam is the predominate religion over there then....blame would have to go....um...hmmm.....oh nevermind before I get censored or threatened.
However, prophecy tells us that the whole world will persecute those who stand for Christ Jesus...so I'm sure there are little pockets here and there in the U.S. who also like Nairaland/some Nigerians want to blame the church.

I so love the Lord and His Word because He tells us what will happen.
We may not know the exact time and date, but we should always be sober and vigilante.

However, in a situation like this, we need to actually know what God is saying. The church is not responsible for this pandemic problem but the world itself.

And the world itself is not ready to ask for the help of the church, rather, it has chosen to mock and castigate the church and her children for what she knows nothing about. In fact, it's looking like the whole thing was plotted from the pit of hell to ridicule the church.

Before now, science and religion has been on each other's neck, with the formal being used as a manipulative tool against the religion and the existence of God by the power that be, even though the religion in some aspects is also scientific.

What a perfect time such as this for the world to make mockery of what they have always wanted to, even though they are dying.

Now, go round the nairaland and other social media platforms, u will be amazed at what people are vomiting against the church as if she is the one responsible for this scourge.

Corona virus is out and all I see among most Christians is fear, unbelief, doubt and confusion…
How come, the rapid spread of Corona Virus is waking some of us up to start taking our walk with God seriously?
As a church, are we not supposed to be proactive? Why are we mostly reactive to issues?
Then, of what use is the precious gift of the Holy Spirit given to us by God?
Of what use is the power of God at work in us? What use is the Rhema we claim to have?
Were we not born for a time as this? Why do we scamper for safety together with the world that ought to run to us to guide them on how to be safe?
Is this not the issue of identity crisis?

I bless God for the continuous spiritual investments of prayers and intercessions by genuine believers, evangelists, prophets, apostles, pastors and our fathers of faith….
In the situations before us….What would Jesus have done in times like this?
What would the apostles do in moments like this?
What would have happened if it were during the times of God’s generals like the Azusa street revival?
Is the God of those times different from the God of today?
Where have we lost or missed it?

I know many well to do individuals that masturbate, and their lives are going real well, infact masturbation completely removed the chances of promiscuity in many people's lives hence they escaped so many heart aches n diseases, i know of a mopol driver that bought a vibrator for his wife, she was sex starved as hubby was mostly at special duty, and naturally she began hunting but the issue was quickly solved. masturbating cures or somewhat solves the problem of premature ejaculation, it elongates the joystick too. one can masturbate to relive sexual tension instead of raping or patronising oloshos untill ur babe comes around. iii. Invitation of Spiritual Husbands and Wives in your Life: Masturbation gives invitation to spiritual husbands and wives to hold you down in perpetual bondage. This will make you not to enjoy your relationship or marriage.

iv. Negatively affects your Consecration to God: Consistent masturbation affects your commitment to God. For more than a decade now, I have researched, interviewed, observed and heard one-on-one life experiences of people (males and females) engaged in the act of masturbation. The following methods of masturbation are the basic ways through which people masturbate. I can bet you, if you’ve ever masturbated or you know of one who does, it must be through one or more of the following methods of masturbation.

The honest truth is, I didn’t intend to include this sub-topic in this book due to its ‘implications’. However, I realize that, it will help many to be aware and be wary whenever they notice any of the following methods of masturbation anywhere:

FOR MALES:

iii. Frictional Method: This method involves scrubbing to and fro, faced on a flat or soft surface so as to create friction between your genitals and the surface. It produces pleasurable sensations that eventually lead to ejaculation. This was the method I was accustomed to.

iv. Helping-Hand method: This is a situation when another person (male or female) manipulates your genitals through any means for you to ejaculate.

v. Compression Method: This is a situation where you twist your legs to compress and scrub your genitals till you ejaculate. This method is used mostly in public places where one is attracted to a lady he is seeing.


FOR FEMALES:

Just like their male counterparts, the following methods of masturbation are used by females with a sexual fantasy in their imaginations:

i. Insertion Method: This is the use of fruits and materials like cucumber, candle, banana, plantain to insert or thrust in and out of the vagina to attain sexual pleasure or orgasm.

ii. Compression Method: This is a situation where you twist your legs to compress and scrub your genitals till you reach orgasm. This method is used mostly in public places where one is attracted to the opposite sex she is seeing.

iii. Fingering Method: This is the act of using your fingers to massage, manipulate and finger your genitals to achieve sexual pleasure.

iv. Sex-Toy Method: This involves the use of vibrators and other artificial tools to achieve orgasm and sexual pleasure.

v. Helping-Hand method: This is a situation when another person (male or female) manipulates your genitals through any means for you to orgasm.

At the mere mention of names like Evans, Wadume etc, it gives one the shivers because, these names are epitomes of kidnapping in Nigeria. Kidnapping refers to the crime of seizing, confining, abducting, or carrying away a person by force or fraud, often to subject him or her to involuntary servitude in an attempt to demand a ransom. Ransom in this sense may not necessarily be in monetary terms. It may be in exchange for something else.

Kidnapping is no longer a new form of crime in Nigeria but it has risen to be a well-organized and very lucrative crime perpetuated by dare-devils. Kidnapping is a trade that is difficult for the operators to quit. This trade is like child trafficking. It is a multimillion criminal industry in the world especially in Nigeria. This criminal business is the fourth most lucrative commerce in Nigeria after oil bunkering, prostitution and child trafficking (NAPTIP, 2019). The kidnappers go as far as even killing their victims sometimes even if the ransom has been paid!

WHY KIDNAPPERS KIDNAP
1. Unemployment/Joblessness: An idle man they say, is the devil’s workshop. Moreover, without any source of income, kidnapping amongst other crime comes to mind.
2. Greed: The insatiable desire to be wealthy at all cost motivates the kidnapper to venture into this act.
3. Poor Security Network: A kidnapper only kidnaps when his strategy supersedes that of the security network in that environment.
4. Personal Vendetta/Avenger: Most kidnappers are on a revenge mission or to avenge for friend or relative so as to settle a score.
5. Political/Spiritual Protection: Most of the kidnappers that were eventually ‘kidnapped’ by the police often speak of their sponsors, godfathers or spiritual protection which aids them to ‘flourish’ in their business and evade the law (at least temporarily!)

I will conclude by saying that, kidnappers see it as a business that can never be abolished by any government in Nigeria. This is because, the government of Nigeria is yet to take a bold step to find a lasting panacea to this barbaric act. Once the government comes with a stiff action against the kidnappers and if the issues highlighted above can be dealt with decisively from its roots, the issue of kidnapping will be an issue of the past in Nigeria.
