Have we forgotten that Biafra was a collective guilt and that those who created the Nigerian Federation did so to satisfy their own agenda They designed a local a local agenda for the same purpose? Have we forgotten the cause of Biafra and the war? Have we ever come together to examine why Biafra? Obasanjo’s Truth Commission and the Justice Oputa Commission were arrogantly dismissed and nothing happened. Who was the aggressor in that war? Aborted Efforts to Solve the Nigerian Problem What about several efforts to sit down and dispassionately examine the fate of the Federation and how to heal the wounds of the past. Several aborted historical opportunities for peace and stability, or a genuine democratic system include - Ibadan Conference of Sept/Oct 1966 Aburi Accord. Abiola’s election that wuld have set a precedent. 1994-5 Constitutional Conference and the 1995 Draft Constitution, the best Constitutional Draft in the history of Nigeria. Conferences organised by Obasanjos regime. President Jonathan’s 2014 Conference. Current Ferocious opposition to restructuring. Laying the Foundations for Genuine Reconciliation – The Biafra Initiative The Birth of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) – A child of the post-war East Central State Youth Volunteer Services Corps (ECSYVSC) whose memo to General Gowon led to the establishment of the NYSC by the Federal Government. I led the delegation, as Chairman of the ECSYVSC, that delivered the Memoradum to the Federal Government on the eve of the first post-war independence anniversary, precisely on30th September, 1970. In response General Gowon had given Dr Ukpabi Asika’s Government £75,000 (Seventy-five thousand pounds) in appreciation of that historical initiative of the youth of Alaigbo. The great objective of that historical initiative as conceived by us, the youth of Alaigbo, was to forge a genuine instrument of national reconciliation and national integration. What has happened to the NYSC? Any credit to the initiators? Several attempts have been made by the chaps in the NYSC Foundation in Abuja to interview me in order to draw inspiration from the original mind that conceived the NYSC; each time they were discouraged from a follow-up. It was the same way that a former Governor had advised the Federal Government to create an institution to house the Biafra scientist. The answer was no!, because doing so would give credit to the Biafrans. The Road to Reconciliation. Not Restructuring but Renegotiation of the basis of the Nigerian Federation. Nigeria is a multi-national Federation. The task is to agree on the terms for a form of political union among these nations and mini-nations. Unless this is done, there would never be any stable Federation uniting all these peoples who are culturally, religiously and philosophically separate nations and mini-nations. Prof. Uzodinma Nwala President Alaigbo Development Foundation (ADF)Time to heal our wounds is now. Read below and ask yourself some pertinent questions. |

Founder and pastor of a local church in Uyo Kairos Rhema Embassy has been humiliated by his wife in front of his church members. It was reported that the woman, Idongesit Ese, stormed into the church while a service was going on and accused her husband of allegedly impregnating a member if the church. Mrs Ese allegedly accused a church member identified as, Evelyn Etim, of having an affair with the pastor. NAIJ.com gathered that the sad incident occurred on Wednesday, May 24, around 12:00pm, in the church premises at Bassey, Esau street in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.According to Premium Times, the pastor who was identified as, Nsikanabasi Ese, may have known what his wife was up to due to the fact that some hired thugs tried to stop her from going into the church immediately she showed up. An eyewitness at the church claimed that one of the thugs slapped the woman across her face as he prevented her from entering the auditorium. It was gathered that the police came to the scene after the disturbance was reported. Mrs Ese also revealed that she was pregnant for her husband three years ago but the baby had died mysteriously two days after delivery. During the incident, the pastor was reported to have sneaked out through a backdoor in the church to an unknown location. Attempts to speak to the pastor have proved futile, however, according to those who spoke to him, the pastor denied all allegations made by his wife. He has also filed for a divorce after he claimed she lied to him about her age and education. Read what the woman said when she arrived at the church below: “I want every man and woman who has conscience in this church to ask my husband why he is doing this to me, why would he be sleeping with a young girl who came to seek counseling and prayers from him." “I caught my husband in a hotel having sex with Evelyn Etim, a member of our church. As I speak to you, Evelyn has given birth to a baby boy and she is living in Eket with my husband.” “That’s when my husband, so called man of God, beat me and hit me with his car and ran away with Evelyn Etim when I caught them in the hotel." “I want members of the church to know why I haven’t been attending programmes in the church." “Many people have been calling my telephone line to inform me that my husband lied to the congregation that I traveled out of the country. “This is the moment of truth. Let the people know what has been going on in my marriage and in the church." "I believed and trusted this man with my whole life. I am still asking myself one question, is this the same man who once woke me up late in the night, stood stark naked before me, poured anointing all on his head and swore that God should destroy him and his ministry the day he sleeps with any woman other than his wife!”

Jack, Jill and Jane met at a cafeteria on a cool evening. Jack started up “Jane, you were not present at the party, it was superb and a lot of dignitaries were present. It started very early quite unlike… Jill cut in “The CEO was present, the richest man in town was surprisingly present…” Jack raised his voice in order to complete up his part on how the party commenced while Jill had to raise his also to list the attendees. Have you been in a conversation where someone is trying to recount an event to someone, an event in which you were a witness to? Or someone tries to explain a subject matter to another of which you are an expert in? What is your first thought and feeling? Well, unknowingly, it is usual to feel that the speaker might not give a great description as you would do. This makes us, just like the story above, to immediately form our own part of the story and blurt it out not minding interrupting the speaker. This is a scenario of indirect conversation. Have you been in a situation in which someone tries to recount a story or explain a subject matter directly to you and you have a good knowledge of such? What is your first reaction (mentally/vocally/physically) to it? Do you form a mental version of your own story? Do you speak out thus interrupting the speaker? One natural thing I noticed, having listened to a lot of speakers, is that any form of interruption cause them to raise their voices even though it might be one-on-one conversation. From the moment we suppress that urge to voice out our own version, hold back from interrupting the speaker, let our own mental version of the story fade away and concentrate on the speaker, we will start to become better listeners. We can now talk after the speaker has finished! https://shimonkepha./2016/06/08/an-effective-way-of-becoming-a-great-listener/comment-page-1/#comment-85 |

Anyone calling for the break up of Nigeria deserves the bokoharam treatment. Bokoharam has flags, IPOB has flags. Their common objective is to establish a sovereign state out of Nigeria which will never happen. Lord luggard saw the strength in our diversity before handing over power to the north. This is why the easterners are angry and will not subject themselves to northern oligarchs but unfortunately ojukwu later realized igbos progress is in Nigeria and can only be attained by co-operation with the west and north. If the igbos are ready to denounce biafra we will gladly vote in an igbo president. Biafra will never come in Jesus name. Amen
