Both disciplines are good, but are also affected by d Nigeria problem "unemployment". Mind u, a food scientist can't do d job of a dietitian in a hospital. Besides, I am a Nutritionist.

As a food science and technology student, we still study nutrition and we can also do the work of the nutritionist,we also work in hospitals and other places that nutritionist do work,but nutritionist can not be a food technologist or Engineer,the job opportunity in Nutrition is limited as compared to food technology,because there are a lot of openings for food technologist than the nutritionist.

while nutrition and dietitics is quite broad,you cant talk about dietetics without nutrition,nutrition is simply the science of food, it answers the question 'what' .what actually happens when this particular food is consumed.while dietetics is simply the use of therapeutic diets in managing a disease condition or treatment of an illness which depends on age,sex and other factors
