Christianity Etc › I Was A Chief Sinner by xtivin(op): 11:07pm On Dec 26, 2017 |
Its been a year plus I became a follower of Christ, prior to knowing Christ I was a king in sin.I stole, fornicated, lied, served idols and so on.But at all my life had no meaning.Brethren within this short time I know Christ this have changed for the better and I have a bank for testimonies.sometimes I relate my life to that of apostle Saul, I don't merit salvation but Christ counted me worthy. Am using this medium to broadcast the goodnews in Christ, that he is the only way to eternal life and peace with God, only the blood of Christ can reconcile mankind with God.there is no hardwork to meet Christ than just believing in him.Now there is no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus. |
Christianity Etc › Re: What Is The Difference Between A Pastor And A Prophet? by xtivin(m): 11:41am On Dec 24, 2017 |
Its a calling, they differ in their way of operation. A pastor is like a spiritual shepherd that leads the church with his qualities.a prophet is a person with a spiritual gift of prophecy, they have ability to make words manifest according to their election of grace.a prophet does really care how you feel after his prophecy but a pastor who has a spiritual gift of prophecy will try to modify his prophecy in order to keep his sheep.pastors could also be a prophet depending on grace |

Christianity Etc › Re: Restitution by xtivin(op): 6:47pm On Dec 17, 2017 |
asuustrike2009: We should return whatever we took from people. The Bible made it clear that you sow what you reap.if many persons slept with different people, they will reap. Jesus said to that prostitute at the temple "go and sin no more". When we believe in Christ it means our old man that committed sin is dead and we are risen in Christ.Thats what it means to be born again, you need not account for your old self because you are hidden in Christ. I repeat, follow sound doctrine. Sometimes restitution will cause so many sin and can even stand as a stumbling block to a believer if not done with wisdom. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Restitution by xtivin(op): 3:12pm On Dec 17, 2017 |
asuustrike2009: Restitution is important as a Christian same with tithe payment. The man at the cross were Jesus was hinged only had that privilege then. It is not an excuse for a Christian to commit sin and wait till is at the point of dying to repent. A good example of restitution is found in Luke 19 Jesus visiting Zacchaeus’s home, and the people who know the chief publican to be a wicked and oppressive man are beginning to murmur about His associating with a sinner (verse 7). “But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, ‘Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost’” (verses 8-10). From Zacchaeus’s words, we gather that 1) he had been guilty of defrauding people, 2) he was remorseful over his past actions, and 3) he was committed to making restitution. From Jesus’ words, we understand that 1) Zacchaeus was saved that day and his sin was forgiven, and 2) the evidence of his salvation was both his public confession (see Romans 10:10) and his relinquishing of all ill-gotten gains. Zacchaeus repented, and his sincerity was evident in his immediate desire to make restitution. Here was a man who was penitent and contrite, and the proof of his conversion to Christ was his resolve to atone, as much as possible, for past sins. The same holds true for anyone who truly knows Christ today. Genuine repentance leads to a desire to redress wrongs. When someone becomes a Christian, he will have a desire born of deep conviction to do good, and that includes making restoration whenever possible. The idea of “whenever possible” is crucially important to remember. How many restitution can you do sir? 1. The illegal mango we stole from peoples tree 2. Peoples daughter we slept with How many can you undo? Restitution defiles the work of grace, then we are depending on works. Restitution can only be lead by your spirit and wisdom.Zacceus restitution was a necessity in the Jewish law that's why he did that |
Christianity Etc › Restitution by xtivin(op): 12:43pm On Dec 17, 2017 |
You can only restitute what is in your ability to restitute and by the leading of the spirit with wisdom.when you start making serious effort on restitution it means you were not saved by grace. The thief at Jesus right hand never restituted but he was qualified because he just believed in Christ. Many Christian Shepherds are the ones laying unnecessary yoke on the church. Also on tithes, its not compulsory its another form of yoke. But as Christians we must spend to move the ministry but the leaders should not make it as if its a sin not to tithe. |

Tithing is not for carnal minds. And it sounds stupid but spiritually wise. There is a covenant in where you put your money for spiritual purpose. Pay to satan and loose the rest, give to God (the church) and have plenty.this is a spiritual wisdom. But the truth is pastors should not emphasize on 10 percent but the more you give the plenty you have. |

Samsimple: We claim to be christians but we tend to exhibit characters that contradicts the teachings of jesus...why do we despise our non existing enemies so much, when we know we are the cause our problems, even if they do exist why do christians still say "holy ghost fire pursue and destroy my enemies" ... Love your enemies and just maybe he/she might be ur best friend.... PEACE When we pray and say die by fire, what we actually mean is for power of darkness to stop operation. Moreover Jesus was talking of physical enemy |
