brabus,those pipes coming out of the brick,are they for electricals?

Oga sypder and all learned forumites,I have a question and will appreciate If you can help me.I got a land sometimes ago which I wanted to use for 2 x 3 bedroom bungalow joined together but due to the problem of omo onile,we had to start something on the land.

We started with the foundation of one 3 bedroom flat, did the german floor and raised it till window level, but now I am just wondering if it is still possible to start the other 3 bedroom flat beside the first one, will there be any problem? The german floor will be casted separately, but the walls will join with the first house, and they will have only one roof, will the house still chain together?

The land is dry and flat, my supervisor said it is okay, he even said I can complete the first 3 bedroom and do the other 3 bedroom anytime I have money for it, but I don’t want to take chances. Kindly let me know your take on this.

pleep: I know the basics of forex and stock trading but i'm a little hesitant to just jump right into it. What are ur experiences with Forex, is it hard to start up? is it worth trying? Im mainly wondering if you need to read books or go to classes to be successful at this. I want to open an E-trade account and any info would be invaluable. thanks.

Forex is very risky,do a lot of homework before using real cash.I lost a lot to forex and will never touch it again even with a long pole,not my thing.

TokyoBulls: I've got t tel you the truth. Don't give your car to someone whose investment is zero naira. My next hire purchase (if any) will be such that the hirer pays a significant percentage upfront and stands the risk of losing same in case issues happen. The reason these drivers behave this way is because they don;t have any commitments and can afford to walk away if it goes bad.

This is actually a very good idea.definately there will be more commitment on the part of the driver since he has something to lose as well.I believe the reason they have nonchalant attitude is because they can afford to walk away at any time with absolutely nothing to lose.

empron: Here in port hartcourt.they paid weekly 10k to 15k.the most preferanble car here is jetta,golf 2 or 3 and nissan cars on hire purchase.if you buy the car 500k he will pay 1m.it is not an easy biz.it worth takin the risk.i just started my own not quite long.

Thanks empron.10k to 15k per week is about 40 to 60k per month.Those cars you mentioned are European cars so i should be able to get good ones here in Europe.How do you manage your drivers?as that seems to be the most important factor in the business.

obamat: The biz is very good cos am into it for sometime now but get this that you can not manage the biz from outside the environment that its been run
dont even think you have someone that can monitor it for you it will not work out.
If you are doing hire purchase its also easier but you need to be around to be able to monitor how they return your cash if not they will finish your car, make their money and dump it for you.

But all in all the biz is very interesting.

TokyoBulls: It's very difficult but possible. You can monitor your drivers. I thought I could do it, but later found out that I don't have the time and patience. You need to talk to them often and understand the business very well. You need to study all their possible gimmicks and militate against them. Payments must be weekly and any slight doubt must be dealt with as criminal. If he misses by an hour, you clamp him down immediately.

TokyoBulls: For you, it's even more difficult that you're outside the country. You can't remotely monitor drivers. Never! I'm here with them almost every day and they still mess up. I doubt if there's anyone who can monitor your drivers for you. Who collects the money? Who manages repairs? Are they going on hire-purchase?

Hello my good people of Nairaland.I am planning of going into taxi (cab) business. I am presently based outside the country,I want to ship few cars (about 5 cars) to Nigeria,employ people to drive the cabs in either Akure (Ondo state) or Ado Ekiti (Ekiti State).I have someone who will monitor the drivers for me.
These are the things I will to know:
1) Which cars are the best for this type of business
2) How much can I realistically get in a month as profit.
3) What are the pros and cons of the business.

No,each time you apply for a visa,your application will be re-evaluated to determine if you merit the visa except if the applicant's name is on shengen information black list, that is the only situation whereby the applicant can be denied by the visa officer without considering the submitted documents.

From what you wrote above,you merit the visa this time around,your circumstances have changed,you have a job to return to and you also have adequate funding for the duration of your stay.Appealing the decision is a step in the right direction.By the way,are you married?though not very important but if you are married,that will further strengthen your ties to your country of origin.

I am just venturing into the business. And you are very right, these Chinkos are fucking scammers, and definitely I will need to go there to verify things myself. I have been able to find someone realiable in China who can help me with the initial stage, when it comes to the final stage, I will definitely have to go there myself to see things.

Just try and google alibaba + fraud, you will be surprised at what you will see, I contacted lots of the so called verified and gold members and they were all giving me mouth watering  deals, but once you tell them you have a contact in China who is actually your legal representative, and  will be visiting their company, story go end, they wont pick your calls again nor reply your mails. Take your time and read alibaba forums you will realize that only a very tiny percentage of the whole business in that site is real, verified members and gold members only mean members that has paid to alibaba.
