Wow! I wonder why the Sendo company could not maintain their competitiveness, their phones would have have been one of the best in this smart phone era. Anyway, I'm not too surprised about their extinction because even the almighty Nokia company is still struggling to catch up in this smart phone era.

It's good to know that you still have your Nokia 3310 phone. Why don't you get a new battery for it or is it presently scarce to get?. Nokia 3310 was a very durable phone. I will never forget how I lost that phone that was so dear to me because it was my first phone and it got bad in a very funny circumstance.

Seems we have a few things in common, hope the Nokia 3310 and Sendo phone were not your first and second phones respectively just like in my case?.

I think Sendo X was the catch then, other phones been manufactured by them was a flop hence their pack up.

Actually I've search for the 3310 battery but couldn't lay my hands on one. I'm sure been it I was in Lagos I would have gotten. Though I still have plans to connect with someone there to get it for me.

No after the 3310 I still used one other phone before the Sendo X which was Sagem my X2-2. grin

Wow!. This was my second phone after my first ever phone (Nokia 3310).I really cherished my Sendo phone then because it was a special gift from my Dad in the year 2004

till date I still love the phone, browsing on Sendo X was superb. I just wish the company can revive again. I still have my 3310 here with me though the battery isn't good again, reason I'm still keeping it is cos it was the first phone my dad got for me.

The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, has announced the suspension of six undergraduates at the university for being members of a cult.

The university announced the suspension in a circular on Wednesday by the Registrar of the university, Mrs Margaret Omosule, which was made available to our correspondent in Osogbo by the Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr Abiodun Olanrewaju.

The registrar said the university suspended the students following their alleged confession to the police that they were members of some proscribed groups.

She said they were suspended because the students violated the oath they made during their matriculation, as well as to make the university uninhabitable for cult members.

The registrar said the university received information in July 2018, that two students of the institution were forcefully initiated into a cult outside the university campus.

She said the security unit of the university investigated the information, adding that at the end, 12 students were apprehended and handed over to the Osun State Police Command.

The circular read in part, “After the investigation of the suspected students by the Nigeria Police Force, the university on August 20, 2018, received a detailed report of the police findings where it was confirmed that six students of the university had admitted their membership of proscribed groups, thus breaching their matriculation oaths, code of conduct and other university regulations.

“Accordingly and in accordance with the relevant statutes, the following students have been suspended pending the outcome of investigations by the appropriate Students’ Disciplinary Committee. They are Onyekwusi Chinemerem, Ojo Olamide, Ude John, Oladoye Olakunmi, Ayeyi Ayomide and Davis Olakunle.

“The management hereby uses this medium to assure the university community and all other stakeholders, most especially the students, that adequate measures have been put in place to secure lives and property and ensure a peaceful environment for all residents on the university estate.”
