Have you applied for study visa this year?
you wanna add some points??
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by yacha77: 2:06pm On Aug 17, 2019

The study visa application is straight forward process . Get all the documents written on your admission letter ,download the application form, book flight reservation ( no payment needed) . Go and submit .
OK thanks, just a little clarification about medicals, I saw as part of the requirement on the vfs site. But school say medical issuance is what I need.

Unfortunately it seems this refusal came same with others. I fear gcms might also be generic. The usual # vague and poorly documented #

i think my mistake was not realising the level of desperation of people here to leave nigeria.
I know many succesful nigerians who left abroad and came back to nigeria and made it.
1. Roban stores ceo
2. Davido
3. Bank w
4 dangote
5 adenuga
6. Tboss
And a million more nigerian celebs and biz men.
My intention is to put something together in nigeria and come back asap. If u are doing well in nigeria, u can travel the world as u please.
I repeat my advice to that person...nobody knows u and canada better than ur sis...listen to her
Like seriously, is this guy for real or straight down ********. Maybe u need to learn to listen or understand before u speak and realise that there are different strokes for different folks. This ur so called abroad sef and the way u sound ehhhhh I pity ur family back home. I kindly apologise if I have offended anybody with this post sha but I've had enough of this thing....

Hello house greeting everyone
A BVL correspondence just dropped
Reapplication and no upfront medical
Applied June 7

My question ; can I still receive medical Request ??
This question has been answered and argued over and over again. I'm sorry but a decision has already been made on your application.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by yacha77: 10:48am On Aug 08, 2019
Let's wait for all the gurus. But think deep of what could have happened.
Chosenone31:
No, the funds were intact. They requested I send a Bank statement Ticket from his mobile App which we responded within the due deadline.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by yacha77: 10:39am On Aug 08, 2019
I'm telling you bro...... Because he said funds were intact and this a rare case of refusal after medical request. First time I'm hearing this and its scary..
ralfudoh:
Dont get me wrong, I didnt say his statement was fake. My point was that any time someone is sent a procedural fairness letter, it has always resulted in a ban. This is the first time am seeing one that wasn't a ban. Sometimes the applicant isn't even guilty but they don't care. It so unfortunate that most are not financially buoyant to take Legal action.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by yacha77: 9:07am On Aug 08, 2019
ralfudoh:
At least we have one person whom wasn't banned after SOA validation request. Trust me, re-packahmge your application and you will get it. The little I can discern is that the V.O feels you are not currently or upon your return be gainfully employed in Nigeria. So u need to buttress this by attaching a leave letter stating you will resume employment upon completion of your studies or a family company you will come back to manage. This will help. Then work on you SOP to properly explain the relation between your previous level of study, current employment (if any) and your intended course of study.
Personal assets, I dont know how long you have been working but you should be able to show you are established and have a reason to come back to Nigeria (in form of landed property be it self purchased or inherited, shares, e.t.c)
Bro I stand to be corrected but if this statement was fake there is no way he won't be banned, based on the reasons for refusal I want to believe the balance of the account change and it drag all those reasons out.......

I was asked to verify my SOA after my medical Request mail was received that they were fraudulent which I did. I just got this correspondence now after BVL mail yesterday. Please, I'll appreciate your advice.
Sorry about the delay, if you verified your SOA as you mentioned and not banned then it wasn't fake. So the question is this-------- DID YOUR SOA BALANCE HAVE ANY SIGNIFICANT CHANGEhuhhuhhuh?

I still think it’s a coincidence because afterall
June applicants have just gradually started getting response... and that you mentioned your case here doesn’t mean it has not been happening
Because I know lately people have been getting approved but trust me... there are people who probably have been getting Unfortunate responses but did not post out of shame and what have you.
Everything happens for a reason and what will be will be
Very true, out of experience I know when people get refused only few come here to post and all.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by yacha77: 9:19am On Aug 06, 2019

You should have thought it through before applying
You application is just about a week old
As you can see many June applicants and even some may applicants are yet to get a response/ medical request talk more of July applicants July 29 is even as good as August 1st
This is just August 6th for crying out loud. So relax
Don’t be faster than your shadow
Just to clarify some things. Firstly , I know July applicant that has gotten medical request. Secondly, visa application is not first come first serve and we have seen here that people got ppr in 1 year and some 2 weeks. Lastly , the correct answer is that the visa processing time is against the applicant and he shouldn't have applied when he did at least without upfront. I stand to be corrected please.......... Osheeeeeeeee

Yes......
Deane:
So i just got a notification on my CIC portal. Logged in and saw that the final decision column which had just "your application has been approved" now has yesterday's date added to it, and there's a new column "document status" wich has the following subheads - Document, Document numbe, Status, Expiry date Status Updated, Date, Travel document, Number, Country of Issue.
In addition to the above, another correspondence letter has been sent indicating details of the approval.
Can someone kindly explain the significance of this to me? Does it mean that passport has been stamped? What's the use of the additional letter - is that the letter of introduction?

Hello house.

Success to all TRV hopefuls.

I will be putting in my application again next week without much help from my gcms notes as it was blank.

I hope to have adequately tackled reasons for refusal on grounds of purpose of visit, home ties & travel history.

@Frankrobbn1 I'll appreciate if you can take a look at what I have put togethet (LOE) to see if its good enough or any other guru in the house availabe @Qudkom @Bracha ... I understand everybody is busy.

Thanks and God bless everyone selflessly helping to increase the success story out here.

One love!

I stand to be corrected but I heard from a reliable source that all statements of account for Nigerian applicants are verified with or without the signature and stamp because as usual our naija bois has destroyed our credibility.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by yacha77: 11:28am On May 21, 2019
I wanted to do this because it seemed to make sense making profits , money is guaranteed and can be liquidated at any time. Was advised against it, situations differs so let us hear from the gurus in the house....
AyodejiAyeni:
Good Morning Gurus,

Please will Canadian embassy accept Mutual Funds statement of account (e.g ARM) showing my transaction history and my investment balance as a Proof of Fund for student visa? I intend to also get letter from ARM backing the Mutual Fund balance. The letter will state categorically that I have access to liquidate my investment at any time. I also intend to print my bank account statement indicating my transfers to the Mutual Fund Investment account. The investment is particularly a form of savings towards my post graduate studies. I thought it wise to invest the savings for reasonable returns rather than keeping it in my account. I have maintained the Mutual Fund Investment account since 2015.

Kindly advise.

Good morning house!

I need an advice from gurus in the house. My first application was submitted 14 Feb, 2019 and got denied on 4th of April, 2019.. I requested for GSMS immediately after the refusal.. My uncle statement of account that I submitted then has 27M balance. Am planning to reapply back Next week the problem now is that he has used the money for business so he has 1M balance now with good inflow and outflow, can I submit the statement with that available balance? Couple with my own person account with balance of 2M. My tuition fees is 13500 CAD and I have paid 7000 CAD.. pls advice me

Pls Biko!

This was really detailed and so helpful. I appreciate your time. I will work on all point noted.
JustMellow:
Hello Yacha77,

The first thing in your gcms notes the VO was quick to point out or raised concerns about was your Home ties. In general, these are the VO's principal concerns:

1. Home ties: which youve failed to justify that the motivation that would ease or compel your return to you home country wasn't strong enough in assessment of it from the social, economic, or cultural perspective/angle.

If your refusal letter states "home ties in Canada...," don't get confused, it points straight to the available ties in your home country which you should be tackling than panicking because it stated Canada.

2. Purpose of visit: This boils down to your SOP. You failed to market the relation/correlation of your course to your previous studies transcending across its available opportunity in securing a better employment/job opportunity after undergoing a highly expensive foreign education. The VO wonders how is you going to offset the cost of such education and the benefits attached to it.

Maybe you did but the VO wasn't convince about you been a genuine student because you failed to outline the essence of wanting to do such course, whether due to self development, career progression, self fulfilment or aimed to develop your country etc. The VO wasn't concerned about your program or course been off or irrelevant but wasn't convinced about how you market it even if the price tag worth it but the way it was displayed undermined the price - remember, packaging is everything.

3. Financial Status: What many prospective applicant don't know is that most times when an application is refused based on "Personal Assets and Financial Status," doesn't always necessarily comes from the part of the PA but it could also be coming from the side of the sponsor and how the sponsor was able to show is capability to undergo such sponsorship task. Likewise the way an SOP should be well grounded and constructed, so also is the LOS should be. If you is a matured applicant, include your personal SOA and employment documents(if applicable) - this will take care of your Personal Asset especially if you don't have a landed property.

Some applicants just include all documents listed out on NL to show home ties or financial status or other reasonable fact that is perceived to strengthen their application without properly connecting the dots in their SOP likewise in the LOS.

The VO wasn't convinced on your source of income or sponsor's source of income especially if you is a matured applicant but you were able to justify your proof of funds as the VO didn't raise any alarm of insufficient funds like a vibrating early clock at 6am.

Go back to become a sketch artist and make the board useful, put out and analyze your employment situation likewise that of your sponsor and make a convincing and satiating source of funds that can suffice in presenting a steady inflow/flow of funds, do well to work on that of your sponsor also. Don't neglect your sponsor's family composition, assess it and make sure it doesn't outweigh the idea or necessity of your intended sponsorship.

This time, in support of your SOP, draft a LOE to explain the refusal reasons and how your situation has changes.

Good luck!
