PoliticsRe: Show One World Class Project Tinubu Completed As A Governor, I Will Vote For Him by yashau(m): 5:30pm On Feb 07, 2023
Putinofrussia:
God will not make you an otondo, sir.
There has never been any governor that has performed like Tinubu even when the FG withheld Lagos state money except stipends.

Tinubu has a lot of project but I am going to give you 2 unrivaled and unusual ones.If you want more then,I will give them to you.

1.According to some of you,Lagos has existed more than 70 years even if fact says that it was created in 1962.
Remove 23 years from 70 years and we have 47 years.
For 47 years, all the population of Lagos up till whenl Baba Jakande and Marwa were governing Lagos was 4 million plus.
So for 47 years,Lagos grew slowly by:

GDP...it was never ranked as an economy at par with any nation in Africa even when Nigeria was stupendously rich.

IGR...For 47 years,Lagos IGR could only grow to 700 million naira until Tinubu became the governor in 1999.

POPULATION...was a mere 4 million plus.
SCHOOLS,HOUSES,HOSPITALS,ROADS etc were few.In 47 years o grin

From 1999 till date when Tinubu came and brought his team...just in 23 years:-

GDP of Lagos is bigger than that of more than 45 countries in Africa.
Lagos is the 5th economy in Africa.Made possible by Tinubu and his team because he brought all of them to continue his progressive work.

POPULATION of Lagos, according to UNO is around 25 million.20 million more than the one of 47 years.

IGR of Lagos is more than 45 billion naira as at today.

Tinubu and his team had built more schools, more roads, more hospitals etc.
It is only Lagos state that has 26 general hospitals in Nigeria even Abuja is not close.
The other states are lagging behind seriously.

Within 23 years, starting from 1999,Tinubu built one of the strongest sub national economy for Lagos state.

Inshallahu, I repeated.

But I am unbothered about all these because "movie wey no get twist and suspense, no dey sweet." Of what use is a victory without interesting stories to tell.

Obj tried for 8years even with Federal power. He failed.
The most powerful cabal ganged up before the primaries, they all LULE.
Aregbesola, Ambode, Osinbajo .... And many others all flexed their muscle at one point in time. They all failed.

Can you defeat a man who never lost any battle? A man who plans for betrayal, enmity, before it arrives.
Get use to the name; Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 'cos he his your president for the next 8years.

CultureThe Story Behind The Yoruba Adage “sebiotimo Elewa Sapon” by yashau(op): 12:55pm On Feb 05, 2023
Once upon a time, there was a woman who sold cooked beans in Abeokuta. Her bean joint at the time connected the roads that led to Ijaiye, Ago-Oba, Itoku, Lafenwa, Isale Igbein and Ake roads. The location of her restaurant was tagged “Sapon,”
which was derived from the word “Saponloore,” meaning “help the bachelors.”

People, especially bachelors, derive pleasure from eating at a restaurant because they perceive it as a place to wine and dine in those days. In addition, important personalities like kings,
government officials, civil servants, and even students, used to buy beans and stew (ewa pakure) from her.

Madam Janet Ewusi Odesola was born in 1925. Young Janet attended the Methodist elementary school in Ijoko, Abeokuta. She began her food
selling business by selling dry fish before she felt the need to own a restaurant that sold cooked beans in 1951.

So, because of the calibre of people that patronized her, her cooked beans sold very fast every day, despite the large quantity of beans she cooked.
Although, history has it that she cooked a big bag of beans daily, and there wouldn’t be any leftovers.

However, it came to a point where people started owing her. Some would buy her beans and pay, while some would buy on credit. Also, there were some people whose money
would not be enough and who would promise to pay later, which they never did. She started drowning in debt as the credit accumulated. So, she began to think of a solution and then came up with a plan.

The plan was that anyone who bought from her and if their money did not
suffice, she would advise with the phrase “sebiotimo” (that is, cut your coat according to your cloth). For instance, if they came to her to buy beans, she would ask for money, and if it was 10 kobo, she would sell 10 kobo worth of beans. If such a person then asked to
put more (that is more than 10 kobo) that he would pay later, she would respond with “sebiotimo.”

With time, people got used to her response (sebiotimo), and as a result, anytime they ask her to add more beans, they quickly remember and respond with “sebiotimo, elewa sapon.”
Since the revolution of her restaurant’s policy, her customers nicknamed her “sebiotimo elewa sapon.” Also, she stopped cooking more than a pot of beans. So, when they asked for more, she would respond with “mo ti se bi mo se mo” (that is, I have cut my coat
according to my cloth).

That’s how her nickname “sebiotimo,” became a proverb that’s imbibed into the Yoruba culture, which thought the morals of you not buying things that you cannot afford.

These days everyone feels like they are something worthy of an opinion. Like they truly have a voice. Celebrities that are worthl*ss just as their opinion.

France and UK battling inflation. Egg is scarce in UK, shortage of baby-food in US, Argentina inflation rate is nearing 100% , Estonia, Germany scrambling due to shortage of gas. Columbia, Venezuela, Ecuador are fighting pre-covid survival due to high cost of living. Libya is in turmoil, Ukrainians don't even have a country to call theirs.

Yet our Bunch of irrelevant political tools disguising as yeyebrities are using the country's situation to invoke cheap attention.

But they are never at fault. People like the OP that gives credence and attach importance to what clowns like this failed comedian Mr macaroni or forgotten musicians like Psquare brothers says, is the culprit here. People who lacks basic knowledge on how to run even the commonest POS business will always want to chase-clout by criticising those running one of the biggest country in Africa.

Nonsense and ingredient.
Nigeria will overcome this and all you haters will be put to shame.

That's probably a video from last year when majority of the Obidients were clueless on what voting entails, most of them will voting for the first time. I engaged one on Facebook last year and she said she will simply go for the party logo that is not APC or PDP. I told her that there will be at least 20 party logos on the ballot paper. There won't be any names of photos of candidates, just party logos. She better start learning the logo of her preferred candidate. I hope by now they have been properly taught how to vote. It will be sad to lose an election because majority of your supporters didn't know how to vote.

PoliticsDangote, Sinoma Sign Agreement To Build 6mta Cement Plant In Ogun State by yashau(op): 8:26am On Feb 02, 2023
Dangote Industries Ltd. (DIL) has signed an agreement with China Sinoma International Engineering to build a six million tonnes per annum cement plant in Itori, Ogun State.

The development was contained in a statement signed by Mr Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communication Officer, DIL, on Wednesday in Lagos.

According to the statement, the agreement was signed by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President, Dangote Group alongside the Group Executive Director, Strategy, Capital Projects and Portfolio Development, DIL, Mr Devakumar Edwin.

It said that China Sinoma Engineering was represented by its President, Yin Zhisong, and the company’s Chairman, Liu Renyue.
The statement said that the new integrated cement plant at completion would strengthen the local production capacity of Dangote Cement.

This brings its local capacity to 41.25 million tonnes per annum and total African capacity to 57.6 million tonnes per annum.

It added that the Itori Cement Plant would also increase Nigeria’s capacity to export cement, thereby enabling more diversification and foreign exchange inflows for the economy.

The statement said that the project was further expected to develop the domestic economy through creation of thousands of indirect and direct jobs and drive economic development in the Itori axis.

The statement said that ancillary businesses would be drawn to the axis to take advantage of the location of the cement plant to provide goods and services to staff, contractors and other stakeholders.

“Constructing the new cement plant is in line with Dangote Group’s vision of producing local goods that were formerly imported in spite of the abundance of raw materials for local production of such goods.
“Sinoma is a strategic partner who has been instrumental to the success of key projects in Dangote Group.

“You have handled some of our key projects and I am positive that this project will be completed as scheduled,” he said.

The China Sinoma Group President expressed satisfaction with the commitment and determination of the Dangote Group in building cement plants across Africa.

“It is an honour for us to build another cement plant for Dangote Group and we are proud and happy to be on this journey with the company again,” it said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the plant projected to be completed in 27 months is expected to have two lines by 6,000 TPD clinker production with an installed daily total capacity of 12,000 TPD of clinker production.

The Itori Cement Plant will be Dangote Cement’s fourth cement plant constructed as a green field project in Nigeria; the rest are Obajana, Ibese and Okpella Plants. (

PoliticsSanwo-Olu Commissions The Completed First Phase Of Lekki-Epe Expressway by yashau(op): 6:29pm On Feb 01, 2023
• Governor upgrades rural road 40 years after, flags off project’s expansion to Abraham Adesanya Roundabout

First phase of the reconstruction and upgrading of the Eti Osa-Lekki-Epe Expressway has now been completed and delivered, with the infrastructure formally opened to vehicular traffic.

Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu was on Wednesday, accompanied by joyful residents to commission the 18.75-kilometre long stretch from Eleko to Epe T-Junction, turning a two-lane rural roadway to a six-lane rigid concrete carriageway.

The construction feat marked a significant improvement in the effort to redevelop the rural road, built over 40 years ago. Before reconstruction, the infrastructure was in decrepit shape due to upsurge in average daily traffic volumes, subjecting road users to delay and hardship.

The road upgrade to six lanes, with street lights installation and dedicated tracks for trailers, has changed the narrative and brought a huge relief to motorists plying the route.

After inaugurating the completed first phase of the road, Sanwo-Olu immediately flagged off the second phase of the road project, which will extend the construction from Eleko axis to Abraham Adesanya Roundabout.

The Governor, however, said the project’s second phase would be done in two segments for ease of funding and to reduce the traffic impact of the construction work on commuters.

The 18.6km first segment, Sanwo-Olu said, would take off from Eleko to Awoyaya and to critical sections around Majek and Ogidan. Second segment, which is 11km, will kick off at Ogidan to Abraham Adesanya Roundabout.

The Governor said the development marked another effort by his administration at investing in infrastructure that would impact positively on the socio-economic well-being of the residents.

Before the intervention, Sanwo-Olu said the expressway was in critical condition, creating agony for travellers and causing pain in the movement of goods and services.

He said: “Inauguration of this road project we are opening today is coming after 40 years the infrastructure was originally constructed as a rural cross-section without drain. Our administration flagged off the reconstruction and upgrading of the Eti-Osa-Lekki-Epe Expressway from the existing two-lane to a three-lane dual carriageway with a reinforced concrete pavement and with a lane in each direction dedicated for trucks to accommodate the envisaged axle loads.

“This event does not only mark the opening of Phase 1 of the project, we are also flagging off the commencement of the Phase 2 of the work. The entire project will set the Lekki-Epe corridor on the path of socio-economic prosperity and progress. This corridor is fast emerging as an urban economic hub. The growth must come with infrastructure investment that will support the development. The infrastructure will not only bring relief to residents plying the road, it will also ease the transportation of goods, while
encouraging industrial development in the Lekki Free Zone.”

Sanwo-Olu urged residents to take ownership of the infrastructure, asking them to protect its facilities from vandals in order to continue to serve them.

He expressed appreciation to the Ibeju Lekki residents and Community Development Associations (CDAs) for their unflinching support and cooperation throughout the construction period of the first stretch.

The Governor also used the opportunity to appeal to motorists on the axis to be patient, given the perennial traffic being experienced along the Lekki-Epe Expressway occasioned by the ongoing construction of the project’s Phase 2 and the work on Regional Road.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Aramide Adeyoye, said the Eti Osa-Lekki-Epe Expressway was long overdue for upgrading, given its deplorable condition that reduced journey from 35 minutes to over four hours.

She said the commuters’ pains were compounded by upsurge in activities of Lekki recently commissioned Deep Sea Port, Dangote Refinery and other multinational businesses sites around the Lekki Free Trade Zone corridor.

Adeyoye said repairs hitherto carried out on the carriageway only delivered short-term and could no longer be sustainable, justifying the need for permanent solution to address drainages, outfalls and weariness.

She said: “The reconstruction of the Lekki-Epe Expressway is, no doubt, a laudable project that will impact positively the lives of residents, eliminate traffic gridlocks, drastically reduce the travel time of commuters, and businesses as well as improve the socio-economic activities around the axis. I, therefore, implore us all as stakeholders to take ownership of it and be wary of vandals by carefully guarding it so it can continue to serve us as long as we so desire.

Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government Area, Hon. Abdullah Olowa, said the delivery of the first phase of the infrastructure had started changing residents’ agonising story, praising Sanwo-Olu for heeding the calls for restoration and expansion of the road.

The council boss said the project would further strengthen the historical bond between Ibeju Lekki indigenes and Epe people.

A fisherman and regular road user, Alani Bello, said: “The road had been impassable for many years, because of the pressure on it. We usually planned our journey ahead due to the gridlock. With the reconstruction of the road to six-lane, we now enjoy some relief, even though the work is yet to complete.”
