Well, it depend on what you believe. So the definition is relative. But the definition of a husband is more of a functional one( based on his duty and responsibilities) By the way, that kind of ideas shared by those personas was propagated by those who went on protest in America in the 70s questioning why we say Father, Son and Holy Spirit and not mother, daughter and holy grand mother. |
14 months is not such a long time. But I understand that for the average Nigerian Parent, 9months after wedding, they expect their first grand child. A good thing the pressure is on the man and not the wife because it would have been too hard for her to take. It could be anything: medical, spiritual, or the babies are still enjoying the other world it can also be just normal. I usually advice new couples to take atleast two years to plan their home and settle down before thinking of having children. It helps alot.My advise is this: First, take your mind off the worries. When you see kids, let it not bother you anymore. Second, stand by your wife and encourage her as much as possible. You must never let her see or have the impression that you are worried about the issue. Infact, defend her openly before your family and friends ( be string in public and cry in secret) Third, this is a good time to start planning for the kids because they will surely come. Make ready their nursery, plan for their education, and learn all you can about being a husband and a father( husband first and more importantly) Fourth, Engage in Spiritual activities both as a couple and as an individual. But as a Christian, I know children are gifts from God. So, we shouldn't make it look like our lives depend on it. He will give you when you ask sha. Fifth, I know most people don't like this, but you can adopt or bring in a young child to stay with you and take care of them as your own. Finally, having a wife is far more important than children and your wife has a greater role to play in your life than children. |
Lack of self leadership and discipline is the reason why they cheat. |
eya! see the troubles she had to go through just to wear that gown Her room is suffering for it. ![]() |
This photo just reminded me that I have a problem differentiating between married and single folks these days( both male and female) |
This is stupid. Human dignity is being dragged in the mud gradually in this country. |
histemple:well, of you followed her career as an athlete, you will know that for a long time, there were calls for her to be stopped from competing against ladies. |
Caster Semanya the Hermaphrodite. I hope now that she has married her girl-lover, she will finally start competing with men in 800m |
richyblink1:well, if it is temper, then it can be worked on. |
Abi APC didn't pay up Sahara reporters for their services in 2015? This one they are now turning the heat on APC |
I am not surprised. El Rufai once slapped his Deputy Na. |
I wonder why coffee skin people still wear tatoos. It is not fine on fairer skins and look like dirt on dark skin. |
Imagine salary that should be the right of every worker, is now been celebrated. It is now a big deal and cause for testimony that we got paid our entitlement. Ok, my generation is coming to change all these nonsense. |
thorpido:spot on! without structure, no matter how love or sex shacks the head, it will soon lose its spark and excitement. No wonder why our parents that only know missionary Position, stayed in their marriages. |
TheFreeOne:Well, I have always advised the Southern Kaduna guys to adopt self defense measures. I was born and raised in Kaduna so I know the plot to make the state an emirate. |
Pique for real? come on Na. |
Benin city, two hours in the morning and two hours at Night Lagos Na no go area. They only bring the light for two hours once in every 4-5 days for one to pump water and iron his clothes for a week Kaduna, Light good die. Kano light Na so-so. NB: I speak of the areas I stay. |
They are not professionals; it would have been better for them to fight with their lips and throw tantrums on stage as they do. A knock out for either of them might just be the end of their music career. |
That's the new system now: increase things in the boardroom way because once you make it public, it will be vehemently opposed. |
It is often amazing how Government officials can convincingly come up with defence of their actions while in office only for the truth to rubbish all their claims once they leave. I am not saying she is lying. Just that it has happened too many times in the past. I find the part where her spokesperson, said," this however negates the fundamental principles upon which the Buhari administration thrives" as sarcasm. |
#5 can only be used in company of a higher denomination. On its own, it is valueless since Tom Tom became #10 |
Mr Garba Shehu, park well! we want to see the President address a press conference on the continuous killings by Fulani herdsmen and categorically condemn their actions. Also, he should be able to state the next course of action. We don't want to hear your "report" on this matter. |
I wonder why more Nigerians, want to speak with accent( which is in a sense, a dialect ) than speak the normal English. |
she is fine, but I prefer Okparanozie |
Haba! the guy has been with Wolfsburg for a year now Na. |
Masquerades have been unmasked for what they truly are. |
Well, that can't happen because we were designed differently even though we are the same. Male and female. One was formed from the dust, the other from a rib bone. Forget about all those feminism talk. It is grossly misunderstood and inconsistent. So do your work as man and let the woman do hers. We are all built for our works. Sadly, Pampering is part of hers ![]() |
jashar:the upright! that's my former moniker before Nairaland was attacked and I lost it. Good to see someone reviving it. Bless your soul sister. |
Your friend is not innocent. He has side chicks so it is possible he had it with her. What do you think will give her the boldness to lie against him before him and his wife? what does she stand to gain from the lies? He may not be responsible, but he must have slept with her before. I really dont like guys that give the brothers code a bad name through promiscuity. |
Good points! but for the man to have a mistress in the first place, is a sign that he wants to be snatched. |
I like your brother. If it is the Spirit of the Lord that is at work in Him, then it is a good thing. Obviously, the girl has alot to learn. I don't also know if your brother is as saintly as you have painted him to be. But that's not the question now. I am sure he loves her, but love is not powerful enough to sustain a relationship in itself. With time, when it is put undér pressure, it will ask questions. I just hope it won't be too late by then. I am sure she has her good sides, possibly her problem is one of upbringing or just this misunderstood idea of feminism/ boss lady gibberish that is blowing the heads of our younger sisters nowadays. But whatever it is, when she comes to you, talk to her; straight talk! and if you notice she is adamant to change, tell your bro to call it quits or ask her for a break for sometime for both of them to go and reassess themselves. Character flaws must be actively tackled. So if she works on herself. It is obvious they can't go into marriage like this. It is better to nip it in the bud now than live like hell in a cell. |
That's what happens when you marry someone you know little of. There is no way letter can communicate as effective as verbal. |
